a very well preserved deck and boardwalk at the sea side, many options to dine, and some shops (though it is NOT the best shopping area). a very pleasant way to pass few hours, ending with a nice drink or dinner. child friendly
A really lovely pededtrian area to walnut around. Newly regenerated with shops / restaurants and a really nice vibe. Great for people watching. Small but colourful shuk right in the centre with amazing juices.

Tel Aviv is all about being outdoors. The old port area has many restaurants and shops. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them. Take the kids and stroll. There’s plenty for them to do as well.

Safety is a very personal issue. I can tell you that I feel fine here but it may be different for you. I would ask your embassy for their recommendation.
