One of the best ruin complexes I visited during my trip - and I've visited at least 5 of them. It is well maintained, peaceful and beautiful. It took some effort to get there but the road was really pretty.

After you cross the river on a hand operated ferry you will be drawn into the history of the place, get many new facts about the myths and the background and will be able to climb the second highest Mayan structure excavated so far.

Definitely worth a trip, no matter how you get there. I would recommend a tour guide, to give you a local perspective on the sight and so that you can listen the history rather than just reading it all on the signs.

Our visit was great. We had a wonderful guide, Cruze. He was very good at explaining everything and making it simple to reach the top.
