As we walked down the road with our guide Robert, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was late morning, and he indicated that the monkeys were not especially active during this time. He gave a fascinating tour of the trees and plants that are used for medicine and healing

A quide walks you over to the preserve and then gets the young howler monkeys to come close enough to feed and take pictures. The best part, he can get the adult male howler to howl back to him by imitating his howls.

I don't think we saw anything resembling the building in the picture, so I am not sure if we were exactly at the correct place. We were charged $7 and then an extra fee for the guide, yet I read some reviews where people said they were only charged the $7. That being said, Shane
