I have snorkeled all over the Caribbean and this was by far the best! The largest LIVING reef in the world, I could have spent hours there!!

The water is very clear. There is a wide variety of fish and tons of coral. You won’t see the extremely colorful fish like in Hawaii, but they are still worth seeing. We even saw turtles and eels. Hint 1: We booked our tour through...More

We really enjoyed this trip. It's an easy ride from Ambergris Caye. Great snorkeling in about 30' of water. We saw a lot of schooling fish, a couple of rays, a nurse shark and a couple of barracuda among lots of others.

This is a great spot for both snorkelers and divers. Mostly shallow, with a 30' deep cut in the reef lined with coral and overrun with schools of fish. Only problem is the crowds. Get there early or late.

This was the best trip! We had a wonderful boat ride to the reef and the guides instructed newbies on how to snorkel. We jumped in the clear turquoise water and it was a whole new world. We saw coral, barracuda, a conch (living), lovely...More

What an experience. Loved the channel filled with fish and stunning vegetation and coral. It was by far our best snorkeling trip in Ambergris Caye. We saw such a variety of species including big lobsters. Incredible and not to be missed.

I really, really wanted to love this place and I probably would have if it wasn't jammed packed with other people. We were on a snorkeling trip with about 20 others and some of them had never been in the water, so the thrashing about...More

I can't compare it to what you saw in the past. Portions of the reef are partitioned off from diving to prevent further erosion. The parts that I saw were very healthy despite a windy climate above the waves.

No. It is required that you have a guide inside the reserve to protect the wildlife and corals.
