The palace is more like a complex. So many different buildings all joined but now all museums. We enjoy walking around the the huge complex and looking at the architecture. We did the tour of the library. Amazing. I assume u would need a whole day to do all buildings.

The imperial apartments were once the political centre of the Austrian monarchy. Now it houses the museums which demonstrates how the monarchy operated and it also hosts Christmas markets and serves as a starting point for horse carriage rides.
