It was thrilling to attend a performance of La Traviata at this historic opera venue, since this particular opera made its debut there in 1853. One must bear in mind that the original theater itself burned down a few times before and this new one was completely rebuilt in 2004.

The show was very, very good and the venue was clean and authentic. Highly recommended if you have an spare night in Venice. Wife and i reserved a box, we recommend 2nd or 3rd floor box, front seats for best view. English translation provided on a screen above the stage, perfect!
