Very cool area of Barcelona, great shops, restaurants, etc. Always felt safe in the area, however always keep an eye out for the shifty individuals. At night, the guys selling “water” and “coke” are actually trying to sell you drugs, so be warned.

The Gothic Quarter is very nice to see. Lots of historical buildings and it's easy and safe to wander around. There are also lots of shops to visit nearby and our teenage son was happy to visit them several times during our short visit to Barcelona

A great history here,it is a place built over Zroman ruins. And only finished in recent History. But has a rich history,saint Euralias story is gripping. The 13 goose watchdogs are another interesting piece of history, and the roof terrace are a great view of the gothic quarter.
