I am not sure why the hotel even dropped us off here for an hour. They must have an agreement with the hotel and are getting kickbacks. The staff was rude and would not wait on us. When they finally did, they were upset that we were not ordering more. The food finally came out 30 minutes later and was cold. What a waste of our time.

Rude staff and horrible food. This is a tourist trap that the snorkling tours make you stop at. My wife and I could not get anyone to wait on us. When we finally did, they said "Is that all you want" and rolled their eyes and walked away.

All I can say is CHELSEA!!! She was the most friendly and attentive young lady I ever met. She made me feel at home. Brought my food and my drinks over each time quickly and with a smile. She even recommended a Jamaican nightclub to visit later on that night.
The beach itself is Beautiful white sand and clear blue water.
There was a dj and he was great too DJ Kippo!!
Rum Punch was GREAT!
Food was GREAT!!

Just know what you want and where you want to go when you get off the ship at port. The entire van we were with wanted to go to Doctors Cave Beach. The woman acting as the tour guide convinced us all the Tropical Bliss was a much better beach. So that is where we all went. Nothing actually wrong with the beach, just wasn't where we wanted to go, and was not better than Doctors Cave beach. I later saw our van driver running the jet skis. I am sure they get money for bring tourists to this beach.
Just don't fall for scams as we did

Not an upscale expensive place. However its right next to them. Good food, very reasonable pricing and the owner has connections. We wanted to snorkel and he phoned a friend. He negotiated a great price that included gear and a glass bottom boat. Older boat, but perfect and affordable. Great beach chairs and cabanas. We came in on a cruise ship, went to the taxi guys and said we want to snorkel for the day without spending my life savings. We talked a while and this place sounded perfect. It was. NICE people, very accommodating. Would return.

Scam. Do not fall for it. Beach is small. Way too expensive for what you get. Drivers and company are scam artists.

Small private beach. Water was beautiful, beach was clean and well maintained. Drinks of all kinds and food offered. We had the jerk chicken with peas and rice and festival (hush puppy). It was amazing. Would go back!

We are locals here in Mobay and went to Tropical Bliss Beach today, 19 November 2022 at around 2:30 pm. At the entrance, security told us a cabana (bed) was $18,000 Jamaican dollars ($117 USD). Even though we have previously booked and know the local rate for a cabana is $10,000 Jamaican dollars ($65 USD). When we asked, security told us “I don’t know anything about a local rate”. Even though we have DMs from the beach’s Instagram page when we booked cabanas for $10,000 in the past. We decided not to argue and went in without getting a cabana.
We set up a tab with Michah at the bar and ordered 8 drinks between the two of us. When we were leaving around 6:30 pm, we closed out our tab and got a $26,000 Jamaican dollar bill that included 14 drinks. We told Michah and James (another bartender who took one of our orders) we did not order 14 drinks. We had 8 drinks (4 each). We would have been pretty drunk if we had 7 drinks each. They insisted that 14 drinks is what we ordered.
When they asked if we want them to run the video cameras, we agreed and asked them to check the video cameras. We must have called their bluff because mysteriously, the video camera talk stopped when we agreed with them to review the video cameras. We honestly do not think they even have video cameras. Michah thought he was threatening/scaring us by saying things like “don’t raise your voice at me” and “you don’t want us to take this to the next level” we were not raising our voices at him. We were simply telling him we did not order 14 drinks. We live in Mobay, and we do this often and if we are looking to spend $26,000 Jamaican dollars ($168 USD) on drinks, we would have ordered bottle service and not 14 individual drinks at the bar. However, their minds were made up and they stuck to their inaccurate story that we ordered 14 drinks...absolute BS!
In order to not escalate the situation any further, we paid this inaccurate bill and left. However, if you are in Montego Bay, I recommend you go to Doctor’s Cave Beach instead of Tropical Bliss. We have never had any issues there when closing out our tab. There is nobody there at the bar who needs anger management courses when trying to reason about an inaccurate bill.
DO NOT GO TO TROPICAL BLISS BEACH. They are stealing your hard-earned money.

Waste of time and money. We booked through our cruise and picked because the price seemed fair. We would have been better off staying on the ship or getting a taxi to another beach.
The welcome drink is a flimsy small cup of basically Kool aid. The music is way too loud and the beach was overcrowded and dirty.
Felt more like a Texas lake then the ocean. Two of our 6 kids got stung by jellyfish. Wish we could get a refund.

What is the pricing for riding the jet ski?

No idea, there are people who do hire them but I don't think they are anything to do Tropical Bliss.
If you do speak them you may be able barter a good price. But these guys own their Jet Ski's so they can charge whatever the going rates are of which I have no idea.
Sorry, hope that helps.

Do they have beach umbrellas for rent? What food was served? Is there a full bar? Cabana rental prices?
Kai Chuck-Dion
Montego Bay, Jamaica
There aren't any umbrellas for rent as it is too windy for them to stay planted, there is a full bar and grill that serves delicious seafood as well as local Jamaican dishes and the cabana is somewhere around $100 dollars
