- Jtina5 contributionsThe beach is nice, needs more parking spotsParking is on the roadside & is usually full. It’s paid parking (thanks to someone outside for pointing that out or else we would’ve been clamped). The Beach experience itself was awesome, good vibes, good music, the beach wasn’t crowded. Clean bathroom and changing room facilities. The staff was pleasant also.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 March 2023
- Melissa DTinley Park, Illinois7 contributionsBeautiful beach - but "closes" a bit too early! The beach is beautiful with great snorkeling just off the coastline. Great food & drinks available - they can either be brought to you on the beach or you can sit at a table in the restaurant itself. The food is better than I expected with a nice selection. Chairs and umbrellas are available for an extra fee. The only bummer is they close the beach at 5pm and take back the chairs & umbrellas - it's a shame b/c the sun doesn't set until 6:30pm this time of year. We just sat on our beach towels instead.Visited March 2023Written 31 March 2023
- thezonda188 contributionsGreat beach, beautiful water! This was our favorite beach in Montego. Ended up being 30 bucks or so to get a couple of chairs and an umbrella, but it was pristine. Clean, quiet and just beautiful calm water. You can make a whole day out of it and get food/drinks from the restaurant on the beach, they'll even bring food right to you. There's also a starbucks that you have access to, if you need a little caffeine. All in all, great day here and highly recommend a day here if you're im Mobay.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 April 2023
- scarborough2446 contributionsGreat beach & water. Bring own food. This was our excursion off of our Carnival cruise. The beach was great. We had a problem with our food order that took about 40 minutes. When I confronted our waiter he wanted to argue with me and gave me attitude. The water was beautiful here.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 May 2023
- jjashley007Atlanta, Georgia12 contributionsMontego Bay Beach day...success!Great beach day in MB, Jamaica! I appreciated the safe environment the beach club provides. Ease of entry, purchase of umbrella and chair service all done very quickly. The lifeguard in our area was VERY friendly and helpful. Clean property! We did not eat on the property as we had just finished a great meal at a local restaurant but it appeared that the dining offerings were great options.Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 May 2023
- Vera B3 contributionsNice Beach - a bit crowdedA beautiful beach, but there was not much beach to lounge on. It was very crowded and several locals were in the water with the tourists trying to sell them seashells. We swam out a bit to avoid the crowds and the water was calm and beautiful. There are some restrooms close by where you can change into swimsuits. They seemed to be clean.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 June 2023
- Running_waters_54Rock Hill, South Carolina53 contributionsWould visit againBeautiful beach, clear warm water and easy access. We paid for our admission, rented chairs and umbrellas and enjoyed sunbathing, swimming and the ocean trampolines. We ordered food from our chairs which was convenient. The taste and cost were average but was ideal to not have to leave our seating. We rented a life jacket for our non-swimmer and some beach peddlers sold coconuts and jewelry but were not pushy. Would definitely recommend this beach.Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 16 June 2023
- Kat TClear Lake Shores, Texas3 contributionsHighly recommendLoved this beach! Gorgeous water and sand that you could enjoy without getting haggled by vendors. The taxi was $7 a person from the ferry. The taxi driver 'Teddy Bear' is shady and tried to make people pay more to go to a different beach with 'cheap drinks'. He then tried double charging per person but we stood out ground and said it was only $7 a person not $14. George, our bartender at the beach, was awesome and very friendly. He recommended some great options for lunch and all the food was very reasonably priced. We had the cab driver 'Sugar Daddy' on the way back - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He was honest, funny and had the whole van singing and answering trivia questions.Visited July 2023Written 15 July 2023
- CFEIIICenter, Texas4,982 contributionsDoctors Cave BeachReally nice beach, one minute from our hotel, very clean, attentive wait staff, good food! Gentle enough for small kids, beautiful water. You pay to get in here, but it is worth it to be away from the hawkers!Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 July 2023
- Crshandbrn2000Searcy, Arkansas104 contributionsBeautiful BeachSo this beach is beautiful, sand to the water, it gorgeous! The reason for the 4 stars is it was so unbelievably crowded the day we were there, barely any room. We spent most of the time in the water due to no room to lay out. We did order drinks which took forever, as well as food, but I felt bad for the bartenders, they were slammed! It was impressive to see how fast they were putting orders out, I guess they are used to all the people. My group was a part of an excursion so we were only there for a few hours. I will warn you, once you step foot off the bus in front of the entrance, weed sellers are the first to get to you! I think there was a guy selling fish heads too lol. Once you in the beach area, no one really bothers you.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 6 August 2023

Doctors Cave beach was amazing! Its clean, safe and the water is crystal clear. I don't know how much it costs to go in because we stayed at the all inclusive Deja Hotel across the street and beach was included.
Staff on the beach were helpful and working. Put up the orange flag and someone will come over and take orders from the menu.
Because you have to pay to go in there are only one or two vendors
politely walking around selling fruits and beads. A man has a stall selling the sweetest jelly coconut.
Ive spent time on many a Jamaican beach and Doctors Cave is by far the best. I was with my sister on this occasion but I'm often a solo traveller in JA. I will definitely enjoy Doctors Cave next time I'm on my own. I felt comfortable to leave my bags covered but unattended and go in the water.
They have toilets.
Would definitely recommend.

Nice little beach, just off the "Hip Strip" It is definitely not 5 miles long, more like 500 metres. Took about 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. The water trampoline was fun! Deep, clear water. $65 Canadian for entry, 3 beach chairs, and an umbrella. The beach is shared at one end by the S hotel. Not what I was expecting. I guess we can say, we've been there!

Expensive day!!! if you pay entrance fee, chair, umbrella and food/ refreshments . Dropping $100 USD for a day at the beach.
Recommend: drive a little further for a free day at the beach!

We paid 36 dollars total for the entry fee, two lounge chairs, and an umbrella. Mark set up our chairs and umbrella for us and found us the perfect spot on the beach. It was 83 degrees that day. The staff are working tirelessly in the heat with a smile on their faces and willing to assist you in whatever way they can. The bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. You can leave and come back in you only need to get a band from the check-in-staff. This beach is extremely clean, security is on-site, and there is a smoking area for ppl who smoke. This is a family-friendly beach. We did not eat there so I can't say how the food is.

Beautiful beach.. $8 each plus extra for sun loungers/ umbrellas etc
Not allowed to take food and drink in according to the sign and no ball games. We had some pop in our bag and did drink that but seen mixed reviews of not a problem taking own and some say been approached by staff. We went in the afternoon and was pretty quiet.
Taxi from Riu MBay hotel was $40 return for me and hubby and the $8 each entrance.
Enjoyed it..

I want to go back, I want to go, I want to go back!! This beach was clean and beautiful and I have nothing but nice things to. We went two days in a row and besides the river falls this beach was the best thing about our trip to Jamaica!!

We had a cruise stop in Montego Bay and wanted to go to the beach. We were told we could get a taxi here but instead were crammed into a van. Once at the beach it took more than 30 minutes to 1) confirm how we'd get back to the ship, 2) buy tickets, and 3) wait in a long, slow line for beach chairs to be set up. The beach itself was decent and the water was nice. However, it seemed there were no lunch options nearby which is really problematic. It was a bit rainy, so perhaps with better weather lunch vendors would have been around. We found a taxi to take us back to the ship.

Family of four (13 & 8) chose to come here during a DCL stop in Falmouth. We looked at lots of options and this was one of the best we found for us. It was a 45 minute drive with a chartered driver each way, but it was worth it to us. As there were nonships in Montego Bay the beach was not crowded, but our server did tell us that the day before it was packed and would have been a different experience for us. The water was beautiful and the beach was clean. Entry, lounger and umbrella are $7 each. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and delicious. We enjoyed the fish fritters, jerk chicken and fish tacos. There are three floating trampolines to use and the snorkeling at either boat pier was a nice option. We were very happy we made the trip to this beach as we hadn't had the best experiences to Jamaica before this. Would definitely go again if we ever port in Falmouth again.

How far is this from the Falmouth cruise port and best way to get there?
Do you have to pay entrance fee and chair rental with cash?

Unsure the distance from the cruise port, but totally worth the time to go plus the small cost to enter. Very nice stretch of beach, handy hosts for refreshments, none of the normal vendors pestering you about everything imaginable they sell.
Can I bring our own beach chairs onto the beach when staying at all inclusive resort?

I would say not, they charge for chairs and parasols - however I didnt think they were expensive to hire .

If we get a cab at the pier does it drop you right at the beach or do we have to walk along the shopping strip? When we want to leave are cabs parked right at the beach to take us back to the pier?
