This place is good for a day visit. There are a few stores down the Main Street and some good places to eat and drink for a reasonable price. The beach had high tides so we couldn’t swim so we went to another location for...More

This is a small front beach village. However it has everything you need. From great food to locally brewed beer. Small shops, restaurants, hotels, hostels, bars, discos, etc. You have to visit El Tunco while in La Libertad. A must!

If you don’t surf there is little to do here but to relax and chill. As a person that hasn’t surfed in a while I found the break really difficult.

Although I can understand the allure of overpriced papusas and beer, the tee-shirt shops and bars pumping banda and dancehall music over each other makes me want to rip my ears off. A good place to surf I hear. Search around for accommodations as negotiations...More
