Overview
Soak up the wild beauty of inland Yukon, Canada’s westernmost territory, on a shore excursion that follows the famous Klondike Highway from Skagway, Alaska, a stress-free option for visitors with limited time. After a traditional Yukon lunch, visit the Yukon Museum of Natural History and a dog sledding camp for an insider's glimpse into local culture. Upgrade to include a dog sledding ride with local huskies.
What to Expect
Skip the car hire queues at Skagway on this Yukon adventure. You’ll start with a drive along the stunning Klondike Highway, following the 1898 Gold Rush Trail, to the Canadian border. Sit back and watch for wildlife: moose, bears, caribou, and mountain goats. Inside Canada, enjoy pristine forest, tiny Carcross Desert, and scenic lakes, including Tutshi Lake, Tagish Lake, Lake Bennett, and Emerald Lake, complete with expert narration.

Break for a hearty Yukon lunch at the Caribou Crossing Trading Post, then explore the Museum of Yukon Natural History, with wildlife specimens dating back to the Ice Age. Next, it’s time for a Yukon classic: hands-on time with huskies and their puppies at a dogsledding camp. (Upgrade to experience dogsledding in a specially designed dry land training cart.) Finally, relax as your driver returns you to Skagway port with plenty of time to board.

A great tour!

This was an EXCELLENT tour. Our tour guide, Tyler, was lively, extremely knowledgeable, personable and funny. The #1 reason I chose this tour over the White Pass railroad were the number of reviews that lamented the fact that you couldn’t get out at all. This...More

Beautiful scenic trip

Boarded a bus roughly 7:30 AM for the trip to Carcross, Yukon Territory, Canada. Skagway itself looks like a town that time forgot. It really looked like an old western town from a movie scene. Surprisingly, despite their age, all the buildings appeared to be...More

The scenery was beautiful. Our tour guide was great. By taking the bus instead of the train we were able to stop and take pictures. Our tour guide even was our selfie stick to help us get some good photos. I was disappointed in the...More

Private Tour of the Yukon

We took a mini-bus private tour for 9 of us. The guide was wonderful. We went into BC / Yukon and walked across the suspension bridge. Since it was a private tour we could skip parts we weren't interested in (dog-sleds) and stay at other...More

Thank you so much for joining us on a private mini-bus tour. Isn't if great to have a nice guide in a small bus so you can enjoy the beauty of the area at your own pace? This also allows you to choose the area/activity...More

Enhanced Driver's Licenses (which are issued in certain border states like Washington) are an acceptable identification. They are good for land and sea border crossings. The bus tour is considered a land crossing of a border... More
