We did the French Quarter walking tour with David and the Garden District walking tour with another guide whose name I can't recall, and both were excellent! We learned so much and really enjoyed the tours. Both guides were phenomenal. Each of our guides teaches (or taught) college courses in addition to conducting tours, and it really showed, as they were able to educate while also being entertaining and holding our attention. They had a very thorough knowledge of the city and we didn't have any questions they were unable to answer. We were interested in the role of New Orleans in the development of jazz, and even though we weren't on the music tour David made sure to weave this into our tour as well. I appreciated the authenticity of the tour, that they told the real story of New Orleans instead of relying on sensationalism. These were some of the most professional and interesting tours I have ever been on, and are worth every penny.

Leonce was mine and my friends tour guide and let me tell you...! He was such a charmer! He was informative, patient, and the knowledge he held!!! He knows how to captivate you and makes you want to delve more into the history of the beautiful and cultural city of New Orleans! I love that our tour was given to us by a native of the state, both born and raised. If you really want to learn about the history of New Orleans and The French Quarter, do yourself a favor and sign up for this tour and ask for Leonce! You will thank me later.

David did an excellent job of piecing together the history of New Orleans, touching on Native American, French, Spanish, Creole, Cajun and American history.

All the while, we ambled through the streets of the French Quarter, stopping here and there for a moment in history or the story of a particular house and its inhabitants. Well done!

Walking is so much more hands-on than riding in a bus tour. Highly recommend this tour. David Higgins, our tour guide on May 12, 2022, was really excellent! His depth of knowledge, story telling skills and natural ability to weave together all the "gumbo" of New Orleans made the experience so enjoyable. It was delightful. Thank you, David

Randy was terrific. Knowledgeable, witty, funny and easy going. You got all the history and had a fun time as well. We had him two days in a row, French Quarter one day and the Garden District the next ...lucky us. He knew all the history but also allowed the participants to ask questions of interest and was willing to detour on the "narrative" to make sure the tour could be customized to your liking. A fun time had by all...thank you Randy!

This tour gave us a good introduction to the French Quarter on our first morning in the city. We were fortunate enough to be the only couple on the tour. We enjoyed having a private guide show us about. We heard some interesting stories and marveled at the beautiful balconies, but we weren't blown away by the experience. Maybe we weren't asking the right questions. We had a more inspiring tour with another company elsewhere in town later in the day.

Jane was our tour guide and having majored in history in school, she was very knowledgeable and informative. Provided historical and current data on the French Quarter. Had a very nice time as a first timer to New Orleans.

We had an awesome time on this tour. The guide's explanations were great. We learned a lot about this history of NOLA - both the savoury and unsavoury parts!

We met at the Cafe Beignet where we had the added pleasure of a great trio. The tour was just us, so had the guide to ourselves. Went to a few places we had not heard about even after 3 previous trips there. The Pharmacy museum (we went back to it the next day—great tour), the New Orleans collection (also went back to next day), Napoleon house, Lafitte’s forge, and other stops where we got great history and stories. Guide pointed out many interesting shops and architecture.
