Overview
Ride along the shores of Lake Pontchartrain in a 14-passenger minivan, and cross the Mississippi River en route to the Louisiana Museum of Slavery at the Whitney Plantation. You'll also visit the St. Joseph Plantation, a Creole family-owned sugar cane plantation, including the original slave cabins. You’ll learn about the realities of slavery during this dark time in American history.

A gut-wrenching, searing narrative of slavery, unvarnished. The museum itself is worth a good 45 mins, to be taken in before or after the 90 minute guided tour. It is a must-see for everyone, to understand the history of slavery in the USA.
