Select Date and Travellers
2 travellers
Discover the rich history and vibrant culture of New Orleans on this guided Segway tour. At a relaxed pace, explore the bustling French Quarter, cruise along the Mississippi River, stop by Louis Armstrong Park -- the birthplace of jazz -- and visit Jackson Square, surrounded by some of the oldest buildings in the US such as the Cabildo, where the Louisiana Purchase was signed. Your guide will teach you about the city's architecture and French and Spanish colonial past. Choose a 2-hour tour or upgrade to the 3-hour tour.
  • Explore the French Quarter on a Segway and avoid walking
  • Learn about New Orleans history from your guide as you ride
  • Easy-to-find meeting spot on Decatur Street in the French Quarter
  • Upgrade to extend your time and stop at Congo Square and the Tremé area
What to Expect
This New Orleans Segway tour meets on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. Once you get acquainted with your guide and small group limited to eight people, it’s time to get acquainted with your Segway. Take part in a short training session that teaches you how to use your Segway and feel confident riding it. Follow your guide around New Orleans’ French Quarter along the Mississippi River to Louis Armstrong Park and Jackson Square. Learn about the city’s unique history as you ride. If you’ve chosen to upgrade to the extended tour, you’ll also make stops at Congo Square and the Tremé neighborhood. With either tour duration, your New Orleans’ French Quarter Segway tour concludes back on Decatur Street.

The short answer is no. It looks easy and it is but it is tiring and requires constant adjustment and feel. If you have never ridden a Segway, don’t start with a boot.
