Today we took a 3h boat tour in Lake Powell. The scenery was fantastic, but the tour itself was very disappointing. About 50 people were on the boat but only 35 could sit on the upper deck. Once your were there, the crew - not very kind either - said it was full and you could not go up anymore. So we spent the entire tour sitting inside in the lower part of the boat where it was hot, not able to take nice pictures from the scenery with our family (2 adults + 2 children). Of course you can imagine, there's no way to take nice pictures when sitting inside... The rule is that if a person leaves the upper deck permanently (not to go to the restrooms or have a drink - because these people could come and go whenever they wanted), a new person could go up. And of course nobody was leaving his seat permanently. We paid as much as everybody else but had a very poor experience. My husband complained about this to the crew but they were laughing in his face. Great service! Would not recommend this tour to anybody. It's much better to spend a few more dollars and to hire your own boat for the day.

We found this to not only be a great sightseeing trip, but very informative into the creation of the canyon and stories about it and the area. Our Captain was very aware of her passengers needs, and insured we all knew what to expect. She was very courteous to her passengers, and the boat traffic around us
