Overview
If you’re planning on exploring Savannah's Historic District, book this hop-on hop-off trolley tour in advance and leave transportation to someone else. The route includes 15 stops through the area, and trolleys come to stops in 20 minutes or less. Sightsee at your own pace, setting your own itinerary, and get off to explore areas that interest you the most. Along the way, learn history from costumed actors.
What to Expect
Begin Savannah Historic District trolley tour by boarding at the city’s visitor center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Dressed in historical clothing, your on-board guide goes into great detail about the city’s history as you ride. Get off at any of the 15 stops that spark your interest, and then re-board when you’re done (with waits of 20 minutes or less). Stops are located right near highlights, meaning you won’t need to walk much.

Highlights include the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Lafayette Square; the city’s 4-block, open-air market on Bryan Street; and scenic River Street.

Since you plan your own itinerary, you choose when and where your tour ends.

Interesting

Loved our guide, Ellis. Gave us a lot of history while touring the city. My only complain was the hard seats.

A Good Introduction To Savannah

You receive a brochure when you purchase the tickets but the easiest way to find out what all you can see at each stop is to visit their website. It lists all the stops and what to see at each. We enjoyed the trolley very... More

I'm not absolutely sure, but there are stops for pick-up and drop-off at every hotel in the loop the cars travel. If you're located in the Downtown area, I would lean heavily towards, yes! Ask at your desk when to... More
