The tour guide - Maki - was very entertaining and informative at the same time. The length of 2 hours was just right.
The High Line is a must see linear park in the Chelsea area that you can visit at no cost but the guided tour was definitively worth it .

It was a hot and clear day in August. Meeting at 9 AM was a very good choice. After the tour we had enough information and inspiration to continue on our own.

Our tour guide also gave us some New York "insider" tips, which were very useful to us.

I’ve been to NYC many, many times since I live 2hrs away, but I wanted to experience something new. I’m so glad I did because my tour guide Kevin Lawrence made this a well spent 2 hours. He gave a thorough history of each area we visited interwoven with personal interest stories that were entertaining. Since Kevin also does the street art tours, he was able to give a detailed answer to my question about a mural.
I loved that it started at 9:30am when there were fewer people out. After the tour, you were free to go back to explore in more depth and sample some of the food.
I plan to take another one of these affordable tours when I’m back again.

Christian Neely, our fantastic tour guide, provided great insights to the early origins and historical and cultural evolution of the Chelsea Market, Meatpacking district, and the High Line through out our 2 hour walking tour. He received and responded to all questions in a thorough, enthusiastic, and respectful manner. He related very well to all participants, including 2 young boys with lots of questions. Coming from another large east coast city, Philadelphia, Christian and I shared several discussions about comparisons between similar locations in both cities. He provided a few historical insights that I had not considered previously. I would highly recommend Christian to those considering a NYC tour.

We appreciated our knowledgeable (and friendly) tour guide and the time he spent with us on the tour. The tour was interesting and informative, but we felt this was an activity we could’ve done on our own in half the time. The first half an hour felt like wasted time with initial introductions of everyone in the group and a fair amount of free time in the Chelsea Market (most of the stores and shops weren’t yet open); the tour could’ve been shortened by a half hour and end with free time at the Chelsea Market, when the restaurants and shops were open. Still, this is a fun part of the city and worth exploring, and if you have the time and budget, worth fitting in (we did it on the last day of our 5-day trip).

Kevin was an excellent tour guide. As a native of New York City and a professor of art history he added very interesting details about the history of the city. He was very engaging and had a great sense of humor.

Christian N. was a very fun and enthusiastic guide. He provided us tremendous historical information about the High Line and Meatpacking district that was extremely interesting. In New York you often times walk by seemingly unsuspecting buildings or landmarks that are actually very rich in history, but are only revealed to you by a person that thoroughly knows the area. Christian was beyond friendly and had a great personality, making sure we all had a wonderful time. I loved the experience and would absolutely do it again!

We did the tour "Highline, Chelsea and Meatpacking District" with Maki and it was really enjoyable. We got to know more about the history of that area, and also about fun facts and curiosities in each stop of the tour. Maki is awesome as a guide because he turns the dialogue into a show, with jokes and laughs.
I even felt the tour was short in time because it passes so fast with Maki explanations. I'd love to continue and see more and more.
Thanks for the great time and I highly recommend the tour and Maki as a guide.
Have a good one! :)

Maki our tour guide made everything special. Not only was he super funny but we learned so much! Both of us walked away saying this was the best tour we have ever done in New York City. This tour was recommended to us by our friends who visited New York City recently and we are so happy we took their advice. It was our 10 year anniversary the day of the tour and Maki made this day very memorable. Thank you Maki!

We enjoyed this tour so much! Even though it was the coldest day of the season so far Eric had so much energy and personality that made the tour so worth it. He was really informative and engaging with everyone that made the experience that much better. I recommend that everyone that visits New York take this tour to discover hidden parts of NYC’s beauty. And make sure that Eric’s your tour guide!

It was a great walking tour because of our guide Maki Borden.
Even we are not perfectly in understanding English, he had a really good way to explain, so we'd understand. If I would come to New York again, we would just go with him to a tour. His tour was entertaining, rich in information and even it was loud during the time (because of all the people, cars and constructions) we could understand him the wohle time.
So, thank you Maki, for this experience!!
