A retrofitted and motorized cable car lets you explore San Francisco in classic style without the limited routes and long lines of the traditional cable cars. Get to all of the city’s major neighborhoods and attractions in just a few hours, stopping for closer looks at the Civic Center, Alamo Square, and Golden Gate Bridge. Guided commentary ensures an insightful trip, while blankets and refreshments keep you comfortable throughout.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at Fisherman’s Wharf, and set off on a tour of San Francisco's attractions in a classic-style cable car. Listen to commentary from your guide as you ride through North Beach, Chinatown, and Nob Hill en route to your first top at the Civic Center. Take a brief walk to admire the Beaux-Arts architecture of San Francisco City Hall.

Continue to Alamo Square for a walking tour past the Painted Ladies, and then head through Golden Gate Park and its surrounding residential areas. Hop off upon arrival at the Golden Gate Bridge for a brief presentation about its history and design.

After a drive through the Presidio and Pacific Heights, your tour concludes at its original departure point.

I agree. I would call the company and ask. The tour begins and ends in the same place, so if you leave it behind (in a safe place) you can easily retrieve it.
