Napa and Sonoma Wine Tour from San Francisco
US$139.00
Overview

Get a taste of Northern California’s wine country on this tour of Napa and Sonoma from San Francisco. Drive across the Golden Gate bridge and into the countryside, stopping at three boutique wineries. Enjoy a tasting of a variety of reds and whites at each of the wineries, and learn about the history of the region and how the wines are made.

What to Expect

Your tour begins with pickup at your hotel. Drive across the Golden Gate bridge, enjoying the views of Alcatraz, the San Francisco skyline, and the Marin Headlands. Make a stop to take photos of the iconic bridge before continuing on to Napa and Sonoma.

When you arrive in wine country, stop three boutique wineries to sample several varieties of red and white wine (included). As you taste, learn about how the viticulture and production process changes the flavor of each wine.

Take a break from wine tasting with lunch (own expense) at the Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa. The market features a variety of vendors that have fresh oysters, gourmet sandwiches, salads, and ice cream. Nearby are additional tasting rooms to sample more wines from the region (own expense).

Your tour concludes with drop off back at your hotel.

Fun for the novice too

My husband and I are not serious wine drinkers but wanted to do a tour to learn and enjoy good wine. This was perfect! The smaller vineyards and more personal experiences were just what we were looking for. The staff at each vineyard were extremely...More

The highlight of our 3 week California trip!

Simply the best day trip! Green Dream Tours were so communicative prior to the day, advising the best location of pick-up as we were staying at an Air B n B when i gave them the address, which was so helpful. We mainly loved this...More

Great way to experience some of the hidden gems in Sonoma and Napa.

It's always a crap shoot when someone mentions wine-tasting. Invariably, you end up at mediocre vineyards, paying (in some instances) hefty tasting fees, and feeling less than enthusiastic about having spent a day with a group of strangers cramped into a mini-bus. Fear no more!...More

Great Job, Robin!

My wife and I enjoyed a fun day visiting wineries in Sonoma and Napa. Tour driver/guide, Robin, was outstanding. Full of knowledge on not only wines and wineries, but also San Francisco and the Bay Area. Made for a great experience.
