Overview
Running along the Pacific coastline in California, Highway 1’s route involves plenty of twists and turns. Rather than dealing with the stress of driving it on your own, take this Monterey and Carmel tour that allows you to keep your eyes on the spectacular views. It includes round-trip transportation from San Francisco, and you can even add an optional admission ticket to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
What to Expect
Start your guided tour to Monterey with a pickup from Union Square in San Francisco. Once you board your vehicle for the day, relax on the drive.

Your guide takes you down the California coast for views of the Pacific Ocean and beachside mansions. Your first stop is in Monterey where you’ll have about two hours of free time to stroll Cannery Row. You can also add on an admission ticket to Monterey Bay Aquarium when booking for an additional upgrade fee.

Afterward, it’s on to Carmel-by-the-Sea for some more free time before the drive back to San Francisco.

We got to see some very special places and although Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel are supposed to be the highlights I still can't get over the delicious pastry from the roadside bakery in Davenport. Our driver Randy made the day a lot of fun...More

Long day but well worth it

I’ll start with a warning. This tour took us over 12 hours making it a very long day. This was partly due to traffic on the freeway when returning from Carmel. The schedule is somewhat flexible in that the driver stops a few times before...More
