Easy going and then really exciting, our trip down the Deschutes River was quite a thrill. Our guide, Chris, was great and the 2 and a half hour ride was a combination of easy gliding interspersed by thrilling rapids. We are both grandmas and we were able to brave the rapids with no ill effects. I highly recommend this adventur!

Beautiful river and gorgeous scenery! We saw herons, mergansers, osprey and a marmot. Nice calm areas punctuated by class III rapids and one class IV so we definitely got drenched! It was exciting and FUN! We didn’t take our phones so thank goodness for the excellent photographer who took photos of all the highlight sections of our trip. So glad we decided to do this!

Very fun experience. My river guide Gabriel was funny and made the ride much more fun for us. We also stayed in the raft😂.

The River Drifters are highly recommended! Our guide was the best! Brody was great from the beginning! He was friendly, informative and a terrific guide! We had a great time!

We went down the river with Maya (on her birthday - happy birthday Maya!) and could not be more pleased! Our group had such a great time and it all had to do with Maya and the entire crew at River Drifters. The check in was easy and friendly, not at all confusing. The bus drivers and guides who rode with us were all friendly and pointed out stuff on the ride to the river and back which created a great atmosphere among the guests. Getting to our boat and organized was not at all confusing as there was plenty of staff to ensure all people and gear were safe. Most of all, Maya made the trip about having fun and enjoying the adventure! She was super friendly, super strong, never once were we worried about safety going through rapids. She kept us engaged and the spirits high and also gave us the space to enjoy the amazing scenery along the Deschutes. I can not say enough good things about our experience other than we are already looking to book our next trip before the summer is over!

We had a blast with Reese. He let one of the boys swim in the river and “ride the bull”. He was very informative and gave us a great recommendation for where to eat! He made the trip down the river exciting. A great memory for my boy’s first time white water rafting!

The views definitely was amazing. Bring a dry bag with a light jacket might help keep you warm during lunch time if you are doing a trip in June like we did. Lunch was also very generous with all the fixings, side dishes, cookies, fruit, coffee and hot cocoa. My son had both the burger and hot dogs. Although the water wasn’t cold, it was a little windy on some parts of the river. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the geological aspects of the area. It was fun learning. We were very well taken care of. The wet suite and quick dry jacket were also provided with the tour. The whole process of checking in and getting ready to completion of the trip was very well thought out and executed. We ended up with 119 pictures taken while we were rafting. And of course we chose to take all those home for $70 since we can’t decide on just one or two. Also, our guide greeted us at the parking lot when we first arrived. We loved the personalized service! Two thumbs up👍👍

We took our granddaughter and her friend on this white water excursion. Our guide Reese was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend him and River Drifters.

We had an amazing time our guide Bailey was great, she had good info regarding the area and her jokes kept out minds away from our fears, it was our first time rafting and Bailey totally smooth the experince out.

We booked this trip around 9 months ago and I had been building it up for the kids. I was worried I may have overhyped it but need not have worried. Both myself and wife absolutely loved it as did our 15 year old daughter and 7 year old son. Our guides Johnny, Reese and Lily made it the best experience. Nothing was too much for them. They secured us the best camping spot, the food they provided was amazing. The rafting was so much fun and the guides are knowledgeable, safely conscious and fun. Would recommend to anyone with a sense of adventure. Thanks River Drifters…we’ll be back to do the Rogue River, David, Mary, Emma & Ben

We booked the morning half-day Deschutes excursion. This was my first rafting experience and won’t be my last. Theo was a great guide. He was kind and friendly while engaging everyone in our group. Not only did he have knowledge of rafting and water safety, but he was full of facts and information about the river as well as the area history and nature. I look forward to coming back to the Oregon/Washington area next year and booking with River Drifters again on another route.

We had an amazing time with Emmett as our guide. This was a family friendly trip on the Deschutes and was the perfect day trip from Portland. The lunch was a ton of food and the flexability of our guide to let the kids jump in and out of the water was a great fit for our family. We were glad we decided to the whole day trip as it was definitely worth it and worth the money.

We did the 1/2 day Deshutes River rafting trip with our 3 children (ages 11,9,7) and it was incredible!!! Our guide, Sam, was the sweetest to our children and was great about making us feel safe and choosing the best rides down the river. We had an incredible time!!’ It was a great value for our money as well. An entire afternoon of rafting. I’m confident our experience was so amazing of our guide, and choosing River Drifters! I highly recommend them.

All the guides were fun but a special shout out to Reese who we had the pleasure of spending a few hours with on the Deschutes. We were entertained with rafting, history, and dad jokes. Took my 3 teens who had fun riding the bull and standing while rafting. It was a blast and I’d definitely do it again.
