We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Guide was interesting and we all learned something from the commentary. While focus was on low country cuisine, there was not a lot of emphasis on the specific restaurants - maybe they vary? Our group included about 18 people which...More

Thanks ever so much for your thoughtful feedback. We have taken your suggestions to heart and are making some adjustments to improve the quality of the tour, i.e., larger portions and dessert AFTER the main course. We'd love to hear more details about your experience...More

You would have to reach out to the tour companies directly as they would have to ask their participating restaurants. Bear in mind each place has a regular menu that they serve you with no substitutions.

Less than a mile unless you choose to walk in from your hotel, then of course it could be more.

Each restaurant serves their specialty so you would have to ask when you are there. You do not pick and choose from the menu, it is preplanned, but, I don't recall a lot of meat but some on one of the tours I took.
