Very poor. The hospital was more of a family planning clinic/maternity type check up clinic. Gentleman taking me round expected a donation. I had already paid a lot of money for this tour being a solo traveller. Witch doctor was a man sitting in a partly build house full of rhubbish. Parts of tour was enjoyable it just was not value for money.

We loved the tour! It was the perfect ending to our 1 week vacation in Zanzibar. I would definitely book with them again if I were to come back. Pick up was on time. Our guide was very attentive to our needs. Gave us advice as we went along. And spoke French very well to share the stories of Prison Island and Stone Town. Our driver was just as friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful day. And I definitely recommend taking the tour with the lunch to experience the local food in a local setting. Excellent guide in Juma. Meeting the children at the village kindergarten was endearing. A dip in the cave pool was surreal.

Our group of 8 had the most amazing time with Yuma for the pub crawl. We got to experience Zanzibar night life first hand with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. We tried the different local beers and got to walk through the town center. Our favorite pub was the last one we visited…the CCM Bar. This was an outdoor bar that was filled with almost all locals and had live entertainment. We had so much fun here we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend this tour! It was a fantastic night!

A really fun night out! Our guide met us at the Old Fort - and we set off on our tour. We visited Mercury Bar on the water, a gorgeous rooftop bar and then a party bar overlooking the water. Our guide made sure we all had our yummy drinks, and ensured we all got home safe and sound! We danced the night away!

My friends and I really enjoyed this tour. The guides gave in depth information about all of the plants and we learned so many interesting things. It was a combination of walking trails and looking at plants and sitting and listening to information and watching the process of cooking with the plants and spices. They made it fun and entertaining. If you are interested in plants and spices, I highly recommend this tour.

I love this tour and i would recommend it to everyone. As a solo female traveler my guide Ahmed makes me feel safe. And he is very informative. the compelling story he tells about the abortion of slave trade makes me feel so moved. It is worths it This is my second time joining zanzibar local experience. Both are very great and both guides make me feel safe as a solo female traveler.

This was nothing to write home about to me. Unless you're going to swim in the fresh water cave or with others - I wasn't too impressed. Tour guide was very meh - just walked and explained a bit about the cave. The Rock Restaurant is a tourist trap - not a fan just something cool to look at. I did the Jozani add on and that was pretty decent.

Had an amazing experience which was set by my host who was extremely knowledgeable, sincere and warm. Wanted me to feel the experience and the history of the slave trade out of east Africa.

Absolutely horrible! I felt so bad for the dolphins. They were chased by 11 boats everyone they came to the surface all the boats went full speed to that spot and surrounded them, the driver all shouted „jump, jump, now, now“. Once in the water, the dolphins were long gone, clearly did not want any contact. That was repeated a few times and then we went to a snorkeling spot for 10 minutes with almost nothing to see and the equipment was partly broke. The dolphins were chased by boats all the morning. Please don’t book that tour if you like animals!

This can be done so much better! The boats are not easy to get in or out of the water from. They are all the same. We were out at the break of dawn, first boat out from the beach. The night had been windy, and the swell was really big. It felt unsafe going out, but it quieted down quickly. After a while of driving around we saw dolphins, but they were nowhere to be seen as we got in the water. This happened a few times, but eventually we found a pack with seven dolphins who where really curious and stayed with us for several minutes. What an experience! They swam around, over and under us, as we where snorkeling and duck diving down. Several boats came, and eventually it started feeling like a bit of a circus, so we went back to shore. I have read several negative reviews on how the boats are chasing the dolphins, not leaving them alone. I see the point in these reviews, though personally I felt like the dolphins chose to stay with us. We were in the water several times, and most times the dolphins where gone before we got in. This one time, they seemed playful and curious at us, and when they were done, they disappeared. For me, it was a wonderful experience from a boat not suited for the purpose.

Really nice to see these huge, old tortoises, who seem to have lots of space and to be fed well. They really did seem to seek out the affections of tourists and as far as I saw everyone was respectful. Really cool experience. However, please note that the young tortoises are kept in a small cage until they are old enough to be let out with the bigger ones. I was told this was for their own safety. There was NOT enough space in this cage. Dozens and dozens of small tortoises were crammed in together, stepping over and on top of each other. I think you should consider whether you want to support that before you go - I’m not sure I should have done.

The tortoise are great but as for the rest what a total waste of time Only gave 2* because of what it does for the endangered creatures

We used Zanzibar Local Experiences for all our transfers around the island and they were super organised, very responsive and friendly. We took 4 or 5 taxis in total and every single the taxi arrived early or bang on time - I'd be lucky to get that kind of service in London! The cars were very comfortable and all the drivers were extremely nice and we loved getting to know each of them! Great company and highly recommend.
