    good tour with good value
what a coincidence we booked all our tours with them, after the first one, we decently knew we would continue with this company and we are happy that we did . prison island is a beautiful place, we got to feed the tortoise, very old creatures over 250 years old. never in my life had i seen such large tortoises . this day was a mix of emotions, followed by the history of prison island, we got there and our captain / guide was waiting for us and he took us on the boat, come with sandals because your shoes may get wet. definitely recommend this day tour, and we will definitely return back to Africa , especially Zanzibar. hakuna matata

    Tasty Wine
who knows that Tanzania had wine to begin with, we saw this tour online and decided to go with it, they had several different types of wines which we got to taste, my personal favorite was the Dompo sweet Red Wine. never tasted anything like it. overall it was a fun day drinking and laughing, and loved all the stories our guide had to share with us. we will definitely return

    One of the best trips
through many travels i've been around the world i was skeptical about booking, but we decided to go and ahead and book it, it was the best option we did. we were a group of 3 people ,and the captain was really nice, and he answered all our questions, we wanted to see some dolphins, and he tried to locate them for us, but sadly they were not there . but it was still a beautiful day out, really recommend this tour and beautiful Zanzibar

    Please don't swim with them.
Go and look, but please don't swim. Sunscreen, dirty bodies, urine, yes people especially kids pee in water, chlorine covered swim costumes, hair products etc contaminate the water. It's like us risking our health by swimming in a dirty river - but they have zero choice.

    Swim with turtles
The place is small, the guide are very nice. You can feed the turtles and swim with them. The cost is 10$ or 20000 shiling

    Amazing trip, highly recommend.
This was an amazing experience, feeding the turtles and then being able to swim with them. My children and I will remember this forever. It wasn’t too crowded and the turtles seemed to have plenty of room, they came to us to be fed.

Best way to have a chilled day
Best way to spend a day out relaxing with your partner. We decided to rent this boat so we can escape the city life to the sea, we had enough time to spend on the ocean, swimming we had brought some lunch with us and drinks. The captain was really nice, and I could've sworn we saw some dolphins . Really beautiful day. Definitely worth it. Recommended

Do not hesitate to book :)
Do not hesitate to book this for your family … our 3 year old, 14 year old and 15year old had an incredible morning! We decided with the advice of the company to go at low tide to the lagoon (where it would be quiet for our little 3 year old to experience without being too overwhelmed) perfect time to visit! Our tour guide was Fabulous and was super informative about the lagoon and also put our childrens minds at ease about any dangers in the lagoon water which we really appreciated thankyou! …. The Turtles were super sweet and gently playful, we fed them and stroked them and swam with them for over 45 mins in there beautiful natural lagoon! Incredible pictures were taken and memories our children will treasure for a lifetime! Thankyou guys!! Xxx

    Amazing Experience.
What an amazing experience, from the hotel pick up, the vehicle was air conditioned, the driver gave us cold bottled water to help with the heat. He was so patient with us when we were swimming with the turtles, he let us enjoy at our own leisure until we were satisfied. The experience of swimming with the turtles is a unique one and the guys at the place are very friendly, they try to put you at ease if you are scared.

Great walk with lots to see.
A walk through a dense forest to see the monkeys and squirrels. Also, walking through the Mangrove trees on an elevated walkway gave us the opportunity to see a different eco system.

    A complete disappointment
I want to begin this review by saying we have never written a review but we feel so strongly about how misled we were and how negative our experience was. We will also be pursuing a formal refund for the experience we paid for was entirely not what was provided. We began our experience by getting picked up at our hotel and led down the road and handed off to two more people who over the next 15 minutes led us to a boat with about 10 other people on it. No one asked for our ticket or our names and we were given little to no direction but hopped aboard. There was little seating but we found a nook in the corner to sit. We waited for 10 minutes and then moved along the shore line to begin what we thought was going to be a great sunset cruise. However, over the next 40 minutes, we proceeded to stop at various places on the beach to pick up more and more people until there were about 30 people on the boat. Many who were very inebriated yelling and playing their own music over the drums and musicians. At this point, no drinks or snacks were offered to us. Keep in mind, we paid $45 each for this experience and an additional $34 EACH for the drinks package. We later find one raggedy cooler with a single local beer and three waters in it - that’s apparently what our $68 drink packages went to. The fruit that was offered was cut with a dirty knife and served on a platter that was “washed” with ocean water. While the musicians were amazing the “crew” was first hard to identify and never introduced themselves. Rather they sat on their phones on the bow completely ignorant to the patrons except for the times they would yell at certain spirited patrons. We may not have felt so strongly if we had paid $10-20 each like we assume many of those who hopped aboard had but Trip Advisor, a reputable company, has marketed an experience that couldn’t have been further from reality.

The full day trip turned out to be 3.5 hour! The tour guide knew very little about history of Stone Town or the Prison Island. I really regret booking this tour before getting to Zanzibar. You can find a better selection of tours for much better prices when in town!!

I found prison island especially interesting and to see the huge wild tortoises roaming around. I found the Stone town tour a little boring walking around int he heat and the traders were a little intense in trying to get you to buy which actually worked the other way and chased me away. The wares they have are beautiful. Not sure about the price tho as I didnt buy anything

The guide was waiting for us at the pickup location. He was very informative and answered our many questions. Stone town and prison island had a lot of history and it's a must see tour if you want to understand the city. I really recommend booking this tour.

We went to Prison Island first. We got to feed the tortoise and we were told the history of the island. Snorkelling equipment is not provided, so we just paddled in the Indian Ocean. Then we sailed back to Stone Town. Our guide was very informative! We visited the Old Fort, Spice Market, Freddie Mercury House, the Slave Market and much more. A very enjoyable and informative tour of Stone Town and Prison Island!

We booked a day trip here, through our Hotel. The driver took us the Harbour in Stine town, where a lovely local guide took us on the small boat to Prison Island. He explained the full History of the island, and then we got to meet the giant Tortoises that live and breed on the island. After catching the boat back to Stone town we had lunch, and then a guided tour of the town, taking in the museum, the fortress, the churches and Freddie Mercury House, and the local market. It was a lovely day out, and the chance to experience the diverse culture of Zanzibar.
