Chicago Food Tour: Chicago-Style Pizza, Beer, Brownies, and Hot Dogs
From US$55.35
Overview
Combine tastes of Chicago's most famous foods with stops at local must-see landmarks on a single tour. You could spend the better part of a day chasing down these foods and city highlights on your own; this guided tour will allow you to save valuable vacation time. Learn all you ever wanted to know about Chicago's history, both architectural and culinary, through a guide's commentary over the course of a 1.5-mile (2.4-kilometer) walk.
What to Expect

Begin your day tasting Chicago’s most famous dishes with—what else?—a stop at the famous Giordano’s Pizzeria. You’ll meet your guide and group of fellow food-lovers there, where you’ll taste the deep-dish, Chicago-style pizza before proceeding on your walking loop through downtown. Stroll outside on the surface streets, or if the weather is chilly, head inside to stay on the Chicago Pedway system, which keeps you warm and indoors through most of the walk.

For a dose of Chicago history, step inside the Palmer House Hotel, opened in 1875 and the site of much Chicago lore. Head to Millennium Park to learn about its recent inception and its role as Chicago landmark, then walk along the Chicago River in pursuit of other tastes, such as local craft beer, hot dogs, brownies, and others. All tastings are included, which means you won’t have to pull out your wallet once.

Chicago Food Tour

We had a most excellent tour, ranging from the opulence of a Palmer House brownie to an iconic yet humble Chicago-style hotdog.

Great food and sights!

I loved the entire tour. It hit the main sights. I enjoyed Girodano's Pizza and the walk through Milennial Park. The brownie at the end was fantasic. We loved the entire experience.

You could get cheese pizza, have the drinks at those locations, the brownie, you'd have to skip the hot dog... if you get a good guide the information and walk is worth it!!
