Much more than just a food tour, this excursion dives into the culture, architecture, and history of South Beach as well. Explore Miami’s famous Art Deco District through the flavors of the city as you stop at five local eateries, sampling an international mix of American, Cuban, French, Haitian, Italian, Mediterranean, and Peruvian cuisines along the way.

What to Expect

Get the inside scoop on the South Beach food scene on this fun outing that replaces lunch or dinner. Meet your local guide at The Café at Books & Books and taste the indie bookstore’s fresh New American cuisine (avocado salsa, hummus with tahini, Florida sweet corn salsa, and yuca fries). Then, it’s on to family-owned Bella Cuba for Cuban tamales, egg rolls, plantains, and virgin mojitos. Next up: Peruvian fare at Chalan on the Beach, featuring ceviche and lomo saltado, a traditional stir-fry with strips of sirloin and vegetables.

Moving on to dessert, enjoy a bombolone (traditional Italian doughnut) at Andrix Café, followed by freshly made kosher ice cream and sorbet at The Frieze Ice Cream Factory.

Go beyond the tourist traps for an insider perspective on SoBe’s best eats, with a sprinkling of storytelling, history, and architecture lessons thrown in along the way.

Teenagers wanted to do it again the next day

Richie is fun, engaging and knowledgeable. His culinary selections were excellent. On our own it would have been hit or miss. Richie had all hits with a highly personable touch.

Great fun for 4 Cousins in our 70's

This was one of the highlights of our trip to South Beach (the other highlights being the Botanical Garden and Ocean Ave on Saturday night). Sol was a perfect tour guide - totally charming and so much fun!

The walk is long. As I recall it was a walk with periodic sit downs over 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
