Overview
See the Napa Valley wine region the carefree way on this 3-hour train ride and dinner tour. Sip local wines (own expense), eat a gourmet meal and watch the scenic landscape roll by, all without needing to designate a driver or plan an itinerary. Simply relax in an elegant early 1900s-era Pullman train car while taking in the rolling hills and picturesque towns on the round-trip ride to St. Helena.
What to Expect
Find your way to the Napa Valley Wine Train in downtown Napa’s Oxbow District. There, check in and board a refurbished 1915-1917 Pullman train car. Feel free to roam the train’s various cars and look in on the kitchen, where chefs prepare dinner using fresh Northern California ingredients.

As the sun sets and dusk falls over the valley, the train rolls through Rutherford, Oakville, and Yountville. Find your assigned seat for dinner. You either enjoy a three-course meal on the way to St. Helena and savor coffee or tea and dessert on the return, or you have appetizers in the lounge cars on the way there and dinner and dessert in the opposite direction.

Whichever seating you’re assigned, your meal is served at a private table and you may visit the train’s wine bar (own expense) throughout either leg of your 3-hour trip.

The tour ends at the departure point.

An interesting experience

It is very expensive for what it is but touristy attractions always are. The experience itself was memorable - beautiful scenery (if you’re lucky with allocation of your table), service was professional and the food was ok (nothing to rave about but it was ok)....More

YUM!

I am a Napa local and I love the Wine Train. The staff, service, food and ambiance are wonderful. I dine with them 2-3x a year and have never been disappointed with my experience. I highly recommend it.

They give you a glass of Chandon Brut (at least that is what they had when we rode) with the cheese and fruit plate. You may order additional wine if you like.
