Napa Valley Wine Train with Gourmet Dinner
See the Napa Valley wine region the carefree way on this 3-hour train ride and dinner tour. Sip local wines, eat a gourmet meal and watch the scenic landscape roll by, all without needing to designate a driver or plan an itinerary. Simply relax in an elegant early 1900s-era Pullman train car while taking in the rolling hills and picturesque towns on the round-trip ride to St. Helena.
What to Expect
Find your way to the Napa Valley Wine Train in downtown Napa’s Oxbow District. There, you’ll check in and board a beautifully refurbished 1915-1917 Pullman train car. You’re free to roam the train’s various cars and to look in on the kitchen, where chefs will be preparing dinner using Northern California’s celebrated ingredients.

As the sun sets and dusk falls over the valley, the train rolls through Rutherford, Oakville and Yountville. For dinner, you’ll be assigned a seating. You’ll either enjoy your three-course meal on the way to St. Helena and savor coffee or tea and dessert on the return or you’ll have appetizers in the lounge cars on the way there and dinner and dessert in the opposite direction.

Whichever seating you’re assigned, your meal will be served at a private table and you’re free to visit the train’s wine bar throughout either leg of your 3-hour trip.

They give you a glass of Chandon Brut (at least that is what they had when we rode) with the cheese and fruit plate. You may order additional wine if you like.
