Norwood!) who had great stories. We took the hike through Griffith park into the Los Feliz neighborhood. Our teens even enjoyed it (lol)! It was hot- bring water/ hat/ sunscreen/ actual hiking shoes would help on the incline too.Written 7 August 2024

The tour was good, but the time spent on the bus was almost double the time in the museum and observatory.
The time spent for the observatory was ok, probably not enough but still good if looking with a fast pace. On the other hand, time for the museum wasn't nearly enough, we could visit just one of the many attractions in the building.
I wish we had more time to enjoy the beauty of these beautiful attractions.
Matt was a great guide tho, always trying to keep up the interest with fun curiosity all around LA and its celebrities

Hello and thank you for the feedback. Yes, the Getty and Griffith are quite far from each other which is why we provide the guided tour between the two places. The 6 hour tour would need to be extended by an hour or two to properly cover the Getty, and often, even that isn't enough time. This tour is really meant for those who just want an overview but don't quite have the time to explore any one museum in too much depth. None the less we'll see what modifications we can make to allow for more time at the Getty. Thank you! Best, Dara

This is a great whistle stop tour of 2 main attractions to LA. So much to see in their own right and you may want a bit more time at each but they both offer beautiful views of the city, fab for budding photographers like myself. The start and end point is great to tack on an additional hot spot, the original market place and the grove shopping plaza.
What made this tour for me was a very helpful and knowledgeable tour guide, Chris. He made me feel comfortable as a solo traveller, gives some insightful history, obviously well read on his local area, as well as excellent tips for places to visit and eat. I would advise to do this one early in your stay so you can make the most of your trip and Chris (another Chris) our bus driver drove us safely around.

I really enjoyed this day out. The two stops were a wonderful day out, the bus was very comfortable, everyone was so accommodating, helpful and insightful. I highly recommend this tour if you want to visit the Getty and Griffith Observatory. Just enough time to cover the highlights and enjoy them without being overwhelmed. The true star though was Matt.
Matt was an amazing guide, with a phenomenal understanding of everything from the art, the history, the culture and just about anything you can think of. He was really mindful of all the group, I saw him take time with everyone through out the tour and engaged with everyone personally. While making small talk with others on the tour a few mentioned he was one of the best guides they'd ever seen. Matt really elevated the day with his attitude and information. I don't know how to put into words what the special extra Matt brings is but I've been on many of these tours all over the works and Matt brought something I've genuinely never seen before. A great tour but an exceptional tour guide. Thanks Matt!

Matt is a fantastic guide, the tour was great only because of him. He knows a lot about the city and he is really enthusiastic about his job. Otherwise, the bus was late in the morning, and I had the feeling that we were running all day. We could only attend a show in the Observatory by choosing not to go back to the starting point with the bus, otherwise it would only be a short photo stop there....

The tour guide was amazing he knew so much to every Patt of the trip and to all the Museum and Venues we drove by. The Bus/Shuttle we had was very nice cozy and air condotioned. Due to the oscars and the traffick there wasnt too much time at the observatory. But Matt our Tourguide made up for it! Very impressive.

This tour is a great option for solo travelers looking to maximize their day. When I first booked this tour, I expected to come across some of LA’s top sights, with some occasional fun facts from the assigned tour guide. What I did not expect, however, was to be blown away by our tour guide, Matt’s, historic & esoteric knowledge of the city & it’s people. Truthfully, Matt’s commentary quickly became the highlight of the tour for me — there was no lack of historical context for any of the sights we visited, and he made sure to engage all tour members equally. I highly recommend this tour for folks, and cannot thank ExperienceFirst and Matt enough!

Matt was a terrific guide for this tour. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Los Angeles, and he shared many interesting facts and stories about the famous/infamous people and the area. At the Getty Museum, he was able to convey information about some of the artists, and knew which artists’ works were being exhibited at the museum. We were on our own at the Griffith Park Observatory, which was okay, but not ideal. We did not stop at Rodeo Drive, nor the Hollywood Walk of Fame- they were drive-bys, but we got a wonderful picture of the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory. Matt made good use of the time between the highlights to share his thoughts and insights. He couldn’t have been kinder to his clients on the bus, even when a bit annoying. He was able to answer ALL questions asked about Los Angeles, even unexpected ones. He was a consummate professional at all times, extremely entertaining, and very thorough with his explanations. I would highly recommend this tour with Matt as your guide.

We really enjoyed our day with Matt. Despite the traffic challenges, Matt made us forget we were sat in traffic with his funny and informative commentary. He had an anecdote for every intersection.
We would have preferred to have spent longer at the Getty Center and the Griffith Observatory, but this was likely impacted due to the traffic. Out of Matt's and our drivers hands. Despite this, still a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tour
