          Superb Safari
An amazing holiday organised by Maria. We were picked up from Maun Airport taken to a lodge just outside Maun, next morning Clifford picked us up and Chris checked we were ok, Camping in Moremi and Okvango Delta with Master was outstanding, the camp staff brilliant. We then returned to Maun where Chris and Maria came to see us. Then onto Chobe and Victoria Falls all organised by Maria with fantastic accommodation and activities. If you are thinking of a safari in Botswana then I would highly recommend you talk to Maria.

Great Botswana with Kalahari Breeeze Safaris
Great Botswana with Kalahari Breeze Safaris We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Botswana. We booked the tour with Kalahari Breeze Safaris Agency in Maun Mrs Maria organized a wild camping trip in the Okavango Delta The camping site is wonderful; the ranger Mr Master proved to be very knowledgeable during the game drivers and we had the opportunity to see many animals in a fantastic environment to say the least. The experience with the small boat (mokoro) on the canals of the delta is unforgettable. The camp staff - Mr Machana, Mr Richard and the cook Mr Chicho organized our entire stay in the wild camping impeccably. Subsequently, Mrs Maria organized a two-day safari in the Chobe River Park. The game safaris led by Ranger Sam and the boat safari led by Ranger David will never be forgotten by all of us. In Kasane we stayed in a lodge that was not luxury but very clean, with a good menu and a wonderful garden. Thank you Mrs Maria..It was not just a holiday but a life experience Ezio + 6 iTALIA

          Trip of a Lifetime
A magical place to visit to see the African Wildlife up close and observe these beautiful animals in the wild. So many animals to see, Majestic Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Leopards, Wildebeest, Wild Dogs, Hippopotamus and so many birds. Our Guide Clifford was so aware of where all the animals were, and had been, that we were able to see so many every day. We were so well looked after by the camp staff, and the food was great. It was amazing to hear some of the animals at night from our tents, and we felt completely safe at all times. We would highly recommend Kalahari Breeze Safaris. It was a Trip of a Lifetime, we loved every minute of it !!!

          Great trip - recommend!
Went on this Mokoro day trip to the Okavango Delta - everything was great, I recommend. Communication and booking via email and WhatsApp was easy. I was picked up from my hotel as discussed, the transfers and driver were very comfortable, the Mokoro guide was great and the bush walk was fabulous too. This year in April things are a bit dried than usual and water levels are lower but the team informed me about this before I left. I still had a good time!

One of the best experiences of my life
One word: wow. From the minute we enquired to the minute we got home we had an incredible experience with Kalahari Breeze. This was a reasonably last minute decision with a friend and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. Maria couldn’t have done enough to help with the organisation, and it was a joy that she decided to come along for the trip too. Not only did we have some amazing sightings of animals, they also came at no cost to the animal. Maria and our amazing guide & driver Clifford ensured that at all times we gave the animals space and respect, which actually led to more meaningful sightings. Cliff was so knowledgable of the animals and the landscape and I learned so much from him. He was also an incredible driver! The camp team of OG, Machana and Craig were so welcoming and we felt so well looked after and almost pampered which I wasn’t expecting in a camp in the middle of the bush! The food was delicious and varied, they catered for dietary requirements and everything was served with fun and a smile. For those who are hesitant of camping, this would honestly be a really good first step into being more adventurous, as everything is thought of and it’s a good mix of being in the middle of no where but with some creature comforts! At all times the team made us feel safe, supported and cared for. I can’t wait to come back to Botswana and book onto another tour with Kalahari Breeze.

          Must do in Okavango
We had an excellent experience from booking process to the tour itself. It is not your typical game drive. After travelling for about 1h-1h30 we transferred to a mokoro canoe which was a bit unsettling at first to really exciting and sublime in the same time a few minutes later. Gliding within Okavango channels can not be compared to anything. A nice ‘workout’ - walk on one of the islands to see some wild life is a good addition. Really glad we took this trip with Kalahari Breeze Safaris

          Once in a Lifetime
It was a very interesting experience. just extremely hot, and the water levels was a bit low. The game drive could be a bit shorter, it was very exhausting with the heat. The canoe polers was very good and friendly. Remember to use your sunscreen and an umbrella and good hat is handy

Amazing once in a lifetime experience with brilliant local safari company
We booked a last minute trip with Kalahari Breeze and had an absolutely brilliant time seeing so many amazing animals. Kalahari is a small Botswanan based firm but were extremely professional, courteous and everything worked like clockwork. On our trip we met other travellers who did not know from one day to the next where they were staying as their company kept changing their itinerary, but everything worked perfectly for us. Before we booked Maria responded to all our questions within hours and put together a comprehensive programme. We stayed in 5 different places and had a number of guides and cars and every single connection was on time. One of the advantages of a smaller firm is the personal service and local knowledge. We "wild camped" in the Okavango Delta for two nights run by Kalahari Breeze directly and our guide was from a village only 5 miles away and knew exactly where to find a pride of lions eating and playing, could spot a hyena under a bush at huge distance and found more elephnats than one could reasonably expect to see in a lifetime. We were also able to visit his village and its' school and met some of his family. The other places we stayed in and safari events were run by other locally owned firms and the guides were equally good although only "mid-range" accomodation it was more than adequate and everything was so well co-ordinated by Kalahari Another highlight for us was the night spent sleeping under the stars on the Magkadikgadi Pans and seeing the meerkats on the way there. OVerall i would strongly recommend going with Kalahari Breeze Safaris

          Fantastic Botswana
This company is absolutely wonderful and delivers exactly what they promise and some… our 8 days with them was truely amazing. Having travelled to over 100 countries we always try and find companies that are locally owned and employ local people.. and Kalahari Breeze does this to an amazing degree. This not only adds to the experiences but also ensues an authentic trip. There is also something good about supporting local communities. Botswana is an amazing country with too many highlights to list…. Our top 3 would be seeing Meerkats, sleeping on a salt pan and camping in the depths of the Okavango Delta. We can’t recommend this company enough/great communication, professional and very much value for money.

          (1) Land drive to the destination was comfortable (2) Mokoro ride was peaceful and spiritual (3) Walking safari was easy paced and we saw lots of animals. The guide Lenox ( Leonard ?) provided lots of information

          Great game drive experience.
We had a great day on the game drive. The park entrance is 99km from Maun on a mostly bumpy road which is not pleasant but the park is worth the effort. Our driver Kenny did a wonderful job and tried to get us the best animal views possible. I'd recommend Kalahari Breeze Safari's for this tour. We saw a good range of animals.

          A fun and interesting day.
We enjoyed our Mokoro trip emensly, our driver Chanda was friendly and we had a great chat. Our Mokoro poler Baya was excellent. I'd recommend Kalahari Breeze Safaris for this trip. They were responsive and gave plenty of information to prepare us for the day. It was pretty warm on the return after lunch but we expected that. Have a hat and sunscreen on hand. They provided a nice lunch and plenty of water. Our walk was almost 5km over a couple of hours but each walk can be different. We saw zebra, wildebeest, elephants and hippos. Baya kept us at safe distances.

The experience was amazing. The staff who took care of us were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make our trip the most memorable. The guide was very experienced and knowledgeable. We recommend Kalahari Breeze Safaris to anyone who wants to experience an authentic African Safari.

An unforgettable and fantastic experience in the bush on a mobile camping safari in Botswana
In the second part of August my family and I went on a mobile camping safari in all the major areas of interest in Botswana, including the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti with complementary short visits of the Makgadikgadi Pan and Kasane Chobe areas, finishing with a visit of Victoria Falls in Zimbawe. A mobile camping safari, the first for us, has proven by far the best safari experience. We were close to the natural environment, we visited secluded places as if the areas we visited were only for us and saw a multitude of animal life in many situations so striking that every sighting was a real novelty. We must thank the expert guides Clifford and Master for their excellent leadership, organizational skills and vast knowledge. Spending the evenings with them at dinner and around the camp fire was also a way of knowing them personally better and being closer to the people in Botswana making it a richer experience. We would not have enjoyed the experience as much if we had not had the comfort of a well organized camp with excellent, simple and nutritious food prepared by the staff. Finally, a word of thanks to Maria and Chris for a very well designed custom made safari, the excellent overall organization and all the needed support for local logistics. We would strongly recommend Kalahari Breeze for having made this mobile camping safari experience truly unforgettable!

After having quite some trouble contacting the office (website not working, outdated information on Google Maps, staff only working from home in the weekends,...) we eventually booked an alternative arrangement with them with accommodation at a permanent camp (they wouldn't book the regular 3 day 2 night trip with wildcamping due to chances of having rain, which didn't happen after all).

We were quite disappointed by this trip. First, calling it a 3 day trip is grossly exaggerated, as the first day involves a 3 hour game drive just outside the park, the second day merely includes an indeed very enjoyable mokoro excursion and a 2 hour bush walk, and the third day has nothing more to offer. Second, the trip is merely at the fringe of the Delta, not inside Okavango.

This is not what we expected for that amount of money, certainly not worth the 5-star ratings we see here.

I am sorry that our efforts to accommodate your very late inquiry on a Sunday afternoon did garner much appreciation. As explained to you very clearly before your booking, our reservations office was already closed and we could only assist you while working from home. Sunday is our day off and all camping tours require a minimum of 48hrs booking in advance to properly prepare. You wanted to go on a 3day camping tour the following day on Monday with less than 12hrs after you inquired on a Sunday afternoon and we explained why we could not operate that tour for you. We instead kindly offered you an alternative option to see the Okavango Delta, which was a 2nights lodge booking operated by a 3rd party. An itinerary was supplied to you and you agreed to it before booking and we did our best to get you a lodge booking barely 12hrs into your request. As the facilitators of your lodge booking, we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with them and also we now realize that the way they conducted their activities was not to your satisfaction. The helicopter transfer that you also requested was a big addition to the cost of your tour financially and also operated by a 3rd party. The 5star ratings that you see here are for our 3Day wildcamping Okavango delta tour operated by us and which unfortunately due to reasons above, you did not get to experience with us. We hope in future you can visit the Okavango Delta again when its not our rain season so that you may experience a proper 3day Wildcamping tour with us or another operator :) Thank you for visiting.

We originally booked our trip with Kalahari Breeze for 2020 and Chris & Maria were kind enough to hold our trip at the original cost.
We finally travelled in July 2022, doing a 6 day tour including a 3 day mokoro / camping safari in the Okavango, a night under the stars on the Makgadikgadi pan, a night at Elephant Sands lodge & a night in Kasane with a river safari and a game drive.
Every person we met from the owners Chris and Maria to the drivers and mokoro polers made us feel welcome. We were looked after beautifully with delicious meals magicked up in the middle of the desert.
The guides were extremely knowledgeable and really looked after our safety.
Honestly, it was the best holiday I have ever had.
Have recommended Kalahari Breeze to friends who are thinking of a safari.
        Could not fault it.

We had a fantastic safari with Kalahari Breeze and are completely satisfied with our choice. Maria answered even the smallest questions thoroughly and promptly.

Master is a very experienced, friendly guide and found all the animals we wanted to see: many lions, wild dogs, a leopard, hippos, elephants and many more.

The food at the camp was outstanding. It's fascinating what can be conjured up in the middle of nowhere. There was always more than enough food. We also really liked the camp itself with its private outdoor “bathroom”.

itinerary: Day 1: Drive to NG32, Mokoro ride, game drive to the camp; Day 2: morning and evening game drives; Day 3: morning game drive and return to Maun at 2 PM.

A friend and I went on this tour in early July and had a fabulous experience! Although the tour could accommodate up to six people (because that's as many as the safari jeep could hold), we were the only ones - a private tour! The staff of six (driver, tour guide, chef, and two assistants) were exceptional; as was the poler who guided us through the water in a mokoro and pointed out elephants and other birds and animals as we passed. We had to wait while a herd of elephants crossed the water just ahead of us!

Many thanks to Kalahari Breeze Safaris for their patience and help in organizing an unforgettable trip to Pom Pom camp. Camp Pom Pom is a private camp with a great location, great facilities, great staff and service. The camp is not surrounded by a fence and animals can walk around the camp. In Pom Pom there is no mobile connection and no internet, only satellite connection. The ranger guides do a great job and will work hard to find the exact animals you want to see.

It's been some months now since we did the mobile camping in the Okavango Delta with Kalahari Breeze safari. Even months after our trip to Botswana, one of the first things I think about is the mobile camping experience (3 days and 2 nights Okavango Delta). What a great and extraordinary experience we had with Kalahari Breeze Safari!!

We were just 2 people and we expected some other tourists to join us, but it seemed we were alone for the whole trip, together with 4/5 people (guides, cook, etc.) from the organisation.
It was our first wild camping in Africa, so I was sometimes pretty scared, but the crew really did their best to put me at ease, even changing the program. Actually it's not so strange to be a bit afraid the first time :).
The tents and sanitary were very clean, all people of thhe crew were amazing and knew a lot of the environment and the food was very good. I still don't understand how Chef (the cook) could manage to cook such dinners on a camp fire :). We did a mokoro boat trip, visited the local people (we love to explore the local cultures), did a bush walk and safari drives.
I can't describe the feeling if you are there in the open wild, everything silent and you only hear the lions, hippo's, monkeys, .. close to you.
If you are in Maun and you want an unforgettable safari experience, don't hesitate to book a trip with Kalahari Breeze Safari!

Mario and Chris keep up the good work!

I made a trip at the last minute and booked this tour not really sure what I was getting into. Chris, the manager/owner talked to me the day before and realized I hadn't researched this. He was concerned I wouldn't get the full Okavango plus Moremi experience, so he offered to give me a tour to Moremi on the third day free of charge. The first two days of mokoro (canoe) and walking te islands were an amazing experience, being so close to the animals. The staff were great and my personal guide was fantastic with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I did actually prefer this approach, feeling closer and in a more natural viewing setting to the jeep experience, but we did see fewer animal types as many of the herds had left for Chobe and I saw elephants and lions in Moremi that I would not otherwise have seen. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I was so impressed by Chris' evident care and attention to making my experience one to remember. Any business anywhere will thrive if the owner is personally invested in his/her business and cares about the product they sell. This was no exception. Highly recommend.

This was the most amazing part of a 12 day camping safari for our family of 6- all over 17 years old. We camped in the bush, with no power or facilities for 2 nights, learning from the locals who guided us through their delta in their mokoro dug out canoes. Their knowledge is outstanding. The wildlife in the delta was in abundance and unspoilt. We went on walking safaris , coming up close and personal with hippos and buffalo, aswell as zebras, wildebeest, impala, crocs, giraffes etc. Being this close to nature was an unforgettable experience. Be sure to have local currency to tip them in.

Wildcamping in the Okavango Delta is truly experiencing the wild. You are out early and back at sunset, but get to see so much both big and small. The staff are amazing and do a brilliant job of looking after you. The tent is basic but very comfortable and wild bathroom functional, but shower better than we thought it would be. If you really want to spend your Delta time immersed in the environment then this is the trip for you. If you want 5* luxury safari experience then probably not. Thank you Kalahari Breezes you are a company that can be totally trusted to provide a unique experience that will stay in our memories always.

The Okavanga Delta is simply incredible, where the local people and wildlife co-exist. On this tour, you to learn to live the wild animals, track them on foot, and through the channels on the Mokoro from local people. We have been on safaris before in Africa (not Botswana) and this one is extremely different and unique as you experience how locals live with the animals (not just see by car).
        Highlights and Recognition to share:
-Master (not local names) grew up in a village in the delta and has life experiences learning to survive with with wildlife that I cannot even fathom. Brilliant at sharing his stories and knowledge. Master expertise is deep, there is nothing he doesn't know about the delta or animals and he will point out details that you would never learn or see without him.
-Jerry was the assistant guide and so friendly and helpful for us! Bryan was our poler and he taught us the culture, how to pole and we had an awesome adventure! We LOVED our guides!
-Seeing a cheetah (very close) stalk and kill an Impala, call for her cubs, bring five cubs to the kill and feed them. Incredible surreal circle of life moment.
-Baby elephant and mom were literally right outside our tent when I was brushing my teeth.
-Almost running into a hippo on the mokoro, retreating, and having to find other ways around the hippos.
-We saw endless huge groups of animals by foot trek and game drive - Buffalo, Zebra, Impala, Wilderbeast, Giraffe, Elephant, Hippo, Impala, Warthog, and Ostrich.
-We heard the hyena but did not see him, which is good because we were on foot :)
-Dinner and Brunch at Camp! Delicious! Homemade bread, lasagna, salad, squash with corn, chicken sausage, eggs, etc. The food was incredible and the chef is super attentive. I believe Doctor was his name - not local name, but forgive me if not correct).
        - The tent is SUPER nice, I was expecting a small tent. This was a large, heavy duty, with two twin beds, warm blankets, and outdoor camping shower and bathroom. They gave us warm bottles to keep us warm also.
-We had a weird schedule in between countries and the company worked with us to customize and maximize our time on the delta, was prompt and informative, and flexible with our needs.

If you are a nature, culture and animal lover - I urge you to visit Botswana and highly recommend this company. We stayed in the airport hotel the night before in Maun. It is cute and clean and the breakfast was great. The company picked us up at 7:30a from the hotel and we started, and they dropped us off at the airport to end. Cheers and safe travels!
