I had a blast! The guide was fantastic!! Very knowledgeable and funny. He even tried to tip our raft a few times(with the consent of the rest of the group of course). The dog(Piqui) that jumped from raft to raft was also very fun to have around!

Came to Costa Rica on a school trip, and white water rafting was by far my favorite activity. The route was beautiful, the guides were super fun and knew so much about the plants and animals surrounding the river, and Piqui the dog is the most awesome little guy ever! Highly recommend!

Exhilaratingly fun and a great educational experience on the rain forest and life of Costa Rica. Felt very safe the whole time and very much enjoyed the ride.

I had such a great time white water rafting with Dinghy Expeditions. Our guide was super friendly and fun while making sure we were safe throughout the experience. The river is beautiful and you get to see many different types of wildlife. We saw various types of birds, including herons and ospreys. At one point, a monkey sat perched in a tree above us. A truly exhilarating experience I will remember forever!

Had a great day...the guides are the sweatest people out there...small warm company that takes care of their clientele. And the cherry on top there's a dog along for the ride:)

Spending the day on the Sarapiqui River with Andre's excellent guidance and July in the safety kayak and taking photos has been the highlight of out time spent in the La Fortuna area !! Diana (currently on the Costa Rica national river rafting team !!) and Andres are a husband and wife team that run a small and very personalized excursion. Andre has a great sense of humour and jokes enroute to the river but takes the guiding portion of his job very seriously. Andre provided excellent instructions to make sure we hit the rapids in just the right spots to get the most enjoyment. In between rapids there were ample opportunities to chill and have Andre share his knowledge of the country and tell us about the many birds and plants we could see in the jungle. This excursion runs further down the river than most others and also does not require you to be paddling at all times (I believe the Balsa has a lot of paddling for the first 45 minutes and then the rest is floating only). They very efficiently packed up all the gear and treated us to an amazing traditional lunch at # Soda Marielos. If there is only one excursion you can do it MUST be this one. Mel and Glen

Close friends of mine, all adults and one young child, took a safari float tour with Dinghy Expeditions while in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The Costa Rican jungle did not disappoint! The wildlife and natural scenery had us in complete amazement the entire time, even when the rains came. The tour started off being picked up by Andres and a driver who took us to the entrance to the penas blancas river. There we donned lifejackets and were provided with all the necessary safety information and procedures in both Spanish and English. Andres was very knowledgeable and a fun guide to explore the river with. He was happy to answer all of our questions and talk freely about everyday life in Costa Rica. He shared stories and encouraged us all to be completely present in nature while floating down the river. We were able to help paddle the raft and stopped often to explore and learn about various plants, trees, flowers and fauna along the way. We also stopped along the river’s edge to glaze at monkeys playing in the trees. Andres shared histories of Costa Rica and the river itself as we floated along. Overall, we were on the river for about 2 hours. We saw various birds, lizards, bats, monkeys and even a sloth. After the safari float we walked to a nearby family run farm to enjoy fresh coffee and juice along with homemade cheese, desserts and fried plantains. It was a fun,memorable tour while in La Fortuna. I would certainly recommend checking out the various tours offered by Dinghy Expeditions. A family owned company, creating lasting memories and sharing the joy of Pura Vida! Gracias Amigos!

We had such a very special adventure guided by the incredible Diana, by the end we all felt a strong bond and had learnt a new skill! Diana has incredible knowledge, humor and all round strength. We felt very blessed to have been part of this incredible trip.

This was our best family vacation ever. Major highlight of our CostaRica trip was water rafting on Sarapiqui River. We were novice rafters and our group included my special needs child with Autism. Diana and Andres made this adventure very memorable. They were humble and very passionate hard working couple. They knew every corner, rocks and hurdles on the river which has made us felt safe. Piqui their dog is adorable. We also did Arenal volcanic hike and hot springs with Diana which by the way equally wonderful. I would recommend Dinghey expeditions with out any reservations. The hotel pick up was 1 hour late. The guide seemed to be a last minute replacement for their regular guide. He didnt know what was included in the tour. I've to show him what is included and what is not. Still he skipped a few of the included stops on the tour. I'm not satisfied with this company.

I have done a lot of rafting and this was my favourite. The rapids we did weren't that big but the guides made the day super fun. And I felt super safe the whole time.

Highly recommend doing this! The guides were amazing and you will definitely have a good time. Even the dog goes rafting with you!

I’ve done several guided rafting trips. The majority in Idaho on some good rivers but this by far was one of the best experiences I’ve had with some extremely passionate and experienced guides. Also piqui is the best.

This is a must-do! The instructors were great, and they had stops for snacks and swimming. Wear sunscreen!
