PORTO DE GALINHAS: Excursion to Praia dos Carneiros // With Transport + Guide
PORTO DE GALINHAS: Excursion to Praia dos Carneiros // With Transport + Guide
By Rio Passeios e Trilhas
About
Praia dos Carneiros is one of the favorite for nautical sports among Pernambuco people. The sea is calm, with ideal characteristics for a good sea bath: clear waters, little depth and plenty of space to have fun and sunbathe on its sands. The coconut trees make Carneiros a beautiful example of the northeastern beach.
It is about 90 km south of Recife.
Get ready to visit a coastline interspersed with coconut palms and white sands where man is barely present. You will be enchanted by the rudimentary, exuberant and wild nature. They are exotic, unexplored and semi-deserted beaches.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kurelec0 contributionsExcellent experience at RioI contracted 4 tours with them (one day at Río, historic down town, Arrail do cabo y floresta Tijuca). All tours were excellent. Well managed by their professional and kind personnel.Written 2 January 2023
- nicoledL3254HF0 contributionsWonderful touri did the rio de janejro tourist spots tour and it was beautiful. Christ the redeemer is wonderful. the guide Marcio is very preparedWritten 8 March 2022
- Jjjcccc0 contributionsNo refundGot an email from the tour operator day before our tour, to inform us there was no city tour as moving around the city was impossible because of the carnival. Instead we would be going to Christ the redeemer as planned and Sugarloaf. I emailed the person to stress we did not want the tour and ask for a refund as we had visited the same places the very same day. There was no refund as they said they had bought the tickets for the tours. When we visited Christ the redeemer with another company, the tour guide only bought the tickets while we’re there, and it only cost a fraction of the tour price. They intentionally emailed us the day before our tour, knowing we had less than 24 hours to cancel. They knew in advance that the roads would be blocked from 21-26 Feb, but emailed us on 23 Feb Be warned, no refund even if the tour itinerary is different to what one has bookedWritten 6 March 2020
- elennaaa10 contributionsWorst tour everIn the ad the company tells you that you will see 20 sites they only take you to 2 sites Cristo Redemeer R$47 and sugarloaf R$28 you’re better off taking an uber for that and paying your own. Our tour had 17 people in the van, in which after the first site we left with 16 they completely left a foreigner behind which no means of transportation for that poor old lady to get back with no knowledge of the language. The ad also says it includes a Free Brazilian lunch buffet. WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE, nobody on the tour ate before or brought snacks because we all were looking forward to the food. Everyone demanded their money back and the lady told us no. They said because of carnival we couldn’t see the 18 other sites. And no buffet because the holiday. They knew about the holiday a year in advanced they shouldn’t have advertised all the events and should’ve canceled the tour. They tried to say they were the only tour operating but we saw so many tours operating. I would give them 0 starts if possible I want a refund. They should be kicked off as a tour group.Written 26 February 2020
- vashannv0 contributionsBait and Switch ScamOne star because you have to give them at least 1. Otherwise it would be zero. I paid $756 for 9 people to have dinner as advertised at the restaurant advertised. The driver was instructed to take us to a much cheaper buffet style restaurant. This was NOT acceptable. It says that transportation is included, however the driver was instructed to collect an additional $140 from me. Again, unacceptable. I will not use this tour vendor again and I would strongly advise against anyone else using or paying for this tour as well.Written 22 February 2020
- collins8730 contributionsIt was niceIt was nice and comprehensive. Worth the money. For some people this would be too fast in one day but I personally wanted this. Didn't have much time so it's a nice way to see all the sights in one day. I can recommend this tour operator. The pick up was on time. Thank youWritten 21 February 2020
- Marcia V0 contributionsGot left behindWaited at the cruise port for over an hour. Borrowed a local's phone to call the operator who said they could not pick us up at the cruise port and the tour was already started. So I cancelled and got another independent tour at the port. I booked through Viator so requested a refund. The tour operator claimed they could not pick us up at the cruise port because of Carnival traffic. Carnival was 2 weeks away. While on our city tour there was no traffic jam, the crowds at the Redeemer & Sugar Loaf were small. It seems the tour operator made the excuse not to refund our money. They claimed they notified me but I had no phone contact possible. Do not use this company. I have booked through Viator before with very good results. This company is irresponsible.Written 20 February 2020
- Jsbluex0 contributionsAerial de caboThis is so worth a visit. So beautiful the beaches seen. It’s an all day trip starting early in the morning and home late at night. I would go here again and again!!!Written 15 February 2020
- Shaun U0 contributionsAmazing Tour!We had such an amazing day !The views are spectacular. The van was punctual picking us up from our hotel in the morning. If you have one day in Rio, this tour is a must. Friendly atmosphere, experienced tour guide,(Emmanuelle was the best!) and enough time at each sigh. This is probably one of the best possible ways to see Rio!Written 11 February 2020
- SaurabhA4310 contributionsThe essentialsNicely paced. The guide did the right amount of chaperoning- by my standards. Pointing out the background of things just enough so we know what the attraction is about. The places covered are the top (Sugar Laf, Escadaria Selarón, Cathedral, Maracanã Stadium, a lunch stop & Cristo Redentor). Pick and drop was timely.Written 22 January 2020
- Walter R0 contributionsAwesome BeachTour on time, well organized, extremely beautiful beach. A must among other must beaches in the area.Written 18 January 2020
- alanwV7668TB0 contributionsThis Tour of the Imperial City lasted longer than necessary, and was a bit disappointing. While we thought the bus trip up the mountains to Petropolis was breath-taking and beautiful, and while we enjoyed visiting the summer palace of Dom Pedro II, it seemed like extra stops were added to the tour to make it last longer and to enrich the coffers of several vendors who have an agreement with the tour operators. Our guide spoke fluent Portuguese and Spanish and passable English, but since the majority of the people on our tour were Spanish speakers, most of the tour information was in Spanish. He made an effort to inform the four English speakers on the bus, but much of the information at the palace became tedious. I don't know if there were more government buildings from the Imperial era than the palace, the Crystal Palace, and the princess home, but we didn't see them. It would have been nice to see some examples of the German influence on the architecture of the city. The additional stops at the brewery, the shopping areas, and the chocolate vendor seemed like an effort to make the tour long enough to make it worth the cost. We left our hotel at 9:25 am and didn't return until 8:35 pm. The day was too long. I was ready to return when we left the Imperial Palace and Mueseum.Written 17 January 2020
- lawrencec3120 contributionsMr coleGreat experience, Very Knowledgable tour guide. Highly recommend. Tour guide was tentative to the needs of the travelersWritten 10 January 2020
- AnthonyJ14790 contributionsAnthony JayThis would have been good . However dispute being advertised as a tour with a bi lingual guide , this was not the case . He seemed a good guide and interacted with the group but he could not speak any English . This put him in an awkward situation . I contacted the tour operator the day before and was told that the guide would be English speaking . They were not . Luckily there were other customers who could translate when needed , but my point is that I shouldn’t have been put in this situation. If you see a tour leaving from Fortaleza that says with English speaking guide . Treat with caution , as this will probably be inaccurate. In this part of Brazil , English is not well spoken , not on hotels , restaurants , or tourism offices . I think viator need to look at this as they are misleading English speaking clients . Also there was confusion over the payment of the tour as the guide tried to charge me again for the tour as seemed confused by the viator voucher .Written 10 January 2020
- wanderlust52600 contributionsDon’t believe the liesIf you enjoy sitting on the bus for 10 hours (4-5 hours spent on pickup and drop off), not having any sun by the time you actually arrive to a beach, and arriving back to your hotel past midnight then this is the tour for you. All the beaches were also very small, crowded, underwhelming and looked nothing like the pictures. And don’t bother looking at the itineraries or schedules because the actual tour will be totally different. Oh and the guides do not speak English. Don’t pay upfront because if anything gets cancelled by the company, they will refuse to refund the full amount. I have been fighting for a full refund for over a week now for a separate tour and the company has been ignoring my request. And this was after Stefano Mastroddi made me wait 2 hours for pickup then proceeded to tell me the tour was cancelled. Funny thing is the guide called me an hour later and said the tour wasn’t actually cancelled. Word of advice - Stay away from this company.Written 6 January 2020
