        Happy day on the river.
A day tour on the river. There were only 2 of us. The guide and boat pilot were very flexible, changing the plan to keep us safe on the water and letting us be quick or take longer in various places. Lovely lunch, plenty of choice. Clean toilets everywhere. They answered all questions and gave us local information We're staying with relatives out of town but the driver waited happily with us in the car so we were dry, until our Uber arrived. Great day. We felt involved and looked after.

        A 10/10 three-day Experience
Our experience on the Amazon tour was nothing short of incredible! My friend and I were both amazed and would eagerly return for another exploration. Our tour guide, Collin, was exceptionally professional, friendly, and most importantly, trustworthy, which made us feel completely safe throughout the journey. We gained a profound understanding of the Amazon's nature and culture, thanks to the well-organized and thoughtfully scheduled tour. We wholeheartedly give it a 10/10 rating! A big thank you to both the welcoming staff in the lodge we stayed at and our tour guide Collin for such an enriching experience.

Not to miss Inclusive half-day excursion from Porto deManaus
What a great excursion, but the tour company under-described the day’s activities. We enjoyed the small, and fast, boat with only 12 passengers. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered the opportunity to swim alongside the dolphins(but not stated in the tour description) Many of our fellow passengers on the cruise ship’s excursion did not even see dolphins. Holding our hands in the water as the boat floated from the dark waters of the Rio Negro to the muddy Amazon provided a great surprise! The cultural stop was ok. The lunch provided a large selection of locally prepared dishes. I enjoyed the boardwalk through the forrest, a bonus was seeing monkeys up very close, and the lily pond overlook. the most un-advertised part of the tour was the chance to fish for a pirarucu fish (in a stocked pond) I’m not a fisherman, but those fish were large and pulled quite a bit trying to get the bait off my line!! I do have a complaint: The start time was not well-communicated; group members arrived two by two starting at 8am, we didn’t leave until 9 am.

        Longer than expected
A beautiful trip, book the half-day tour but it lasted longer and we did more things than we thought. Fortunately we didn't have anyother plans that same day.

        Awesome Amazon sights
This tour was a large group of people (60) but it was very well organized and it kept on track the whole time. The stops were first rate. Our lunch was much more than we expected and the Indigenous village had a very good program. The dolphin swim was amazing with at least 6 dolphins returning over and over. My only caution would be to those with mobility issues as it was a bit difficult getting up from the boat to the village. I would highly recommend this tour.

Did not meet expectations, very badly organised
Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations from the description at all. We were in a large group (initially around 20 people, split into approx 10 each), and these groups changed daily so the guides were never sure who had seen what, or even who everybody is and what tour they are on! This created the additional concern that none of the guides knew about any medical conditions or dietary requirements that had been mentioned during the booking process - Vegetarians were not catered for. Our guide spoke very limited English (despite booking an English speaking guide), so we did not feel that we got as much out of the experience as Portugese speakers. There was not enough room at the lodge for everybody, so we stayed in hammocks for 2 nights, packed too close together due to the group size. We only got a room on our 3rd night by being fairly firm about it. Mosquito nets were provided but were generally too small and had many holes. We also felt that there was not much respect for the environment - guides were dropping cigarette butts, and we heard that guides were climbing trees to catch sloths for tourists to hold whenever the sloths were low enough. There was also quite a bit of litter around the lodge, and toilet paper around the camps.

        Good but not to organize
I contacted this agency via Whatsapp to book 2D1N at Ipanema Lodge + ayahuasca ceremony and the communication was very scarce and little. I had many doubts before making my reservation given their poor attention to detail. On the day of my activity they were late for me and communication was still very poor. Once the experience began, everything was amazing. To be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the jungle. The guide David and Ever were super nice and I really appreciate that they take care of nature, respect it and teach us about its wonders. The stay is very modest, don't expect an amazing hotel...live and enjoy that you are in the middle of the Amazon and you have a roof to sleep under. Meals are sufficient and fully covered. Be prepared for plans to change as weather, light and jungle conditions can change itineraries. On my return after my stay in the jungle I had to cancel the ayahuasca ceremony because the organization and lack of seriousness that the agency gave to this activity was terrible, they had scheduled me for another day, they did not know how to give me the instructions to prepare me to do the ritual, they did not know who was going to pick me up, they did not know how many people would do it. I asked for my refund and they told me they would not do it...even taking into account that the times they coordinated themselves did not allow me to arrive on time for the ceremony. That bothered me a lot but I decided to keep the good experience in the middle of the Amazon. If you want to do activities with this agency, I recommend that you go for the adventure without stressing about the itinerary, schedules or conditions and just live it. They are good but not to organize

        Amazing Amazon experience
This was an amazing experience. we stayed 3 nights, 1 in the jungle where you cook dinner over a fire and sleep in hammocks, and the other two in Ipanema lodge. The guides were very friendly and we felt as though they really cared about delivering a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for us. We went alligator spotting, fishing for piranha, sloth spotting, where we got to hold the him, met people from the local communities, and also went on educational walks through the jungle. Overall it was an incredible experience and we made memories to last a lifetime.

Beautiful day on a rubber farm
To understand why Manaus became one of the richest cities in the world, you should visit this museum, know a lot of interesting things, unique, the tour guide was very competent and nice, he was very open, gave you a lot of background knowledge, not only about the museum , but also about her work and the Amazon and how important it is to protect this unique place and the people.

Not worth the money because of little information in English and false advertisement of the waterfall
As with almost all other tour operators, tours and guides - almost no English. Tour guide with dreadlocks not very interested in the group. Best part of the tour was the walking part to the cave with an amazing english speaking guide called Mario. The waterfall itself is definitely not what you expect. A pool is built around it so there's not a whole lot of nature. Lunch was very good in terms of quality and quantity. The tour is definitely not worth the money, but it gives you something to do if in Manaus for a few days.

        Once in a Lifetime Experience
The most amazing tour! The best accommodations keeping in mind you are in the middle of the Amazon. The air conditioning in the room worked great. The food was wonderful. The tour guides have everything planned out well. The excursions are so much fun. One of the best trips I’ve been on. Highly recommend. Pink Dolphins, caimans, piranhas, animals, indigenous tribes, boat rides. The adventure doesn’t stop. They even have great wi-fi in the lodge thanks to Starlink. Don’t hesitate to book this once in a lifetime experience.. The Tucan Lodge and Joshua’s adventures did not disappoint,

        Wonderful day in the jungle.
We had a fabulous trip. We had read some reviews suggesting pick ups being an issue and not having enough time at the various waterfalls but for us, we had no issues, at least none due to Amazing Tours. Some of the other guests were inconsiderate and late but that was not this companies fault. We loved the trip, had enough time at each stop and despite the rest of our group being Portuguese speakers, Miguel (our guide) gave us individual commentary and explanations in English which was great. We would recommend this tour.

This is a scam. We paid $150 USD per person from the tripadvisor/viator package and then were tucked into a little boat with people who paid 200 BRL ($38 USD). 4 Times less!
The only difference was our tour included transportation, which costs around $9 USD.

The tour is in Portuguese, they only translate for you if you ask, the places were packed to the max. If you wanted to get your included food, you would have to make a line of around 80 people with no distance at all! The restaurant was a sea of people shoulder to shoulder!

They charged like a premium tour and then they just dumped us to a local tour operator for the masses.

This is a total scam. Most of the attractions were tourist traps.

The guide was a humble man that did his best

Dear Joel, First of all when you call us a scam, you already lose your right to complain and you are restricting Trip Advisor rules, your mentions are offensive and disrespectful. You came on the holiday of September 7th which is the national independence holiday of Brazil. All attractions were packed, many Brazilians, and Portuguese tourists living in the country. The Guide was English and Portuguese speaking cause you were not the only foreign, there were other 10 people at the boat from Russia. Regarding values, there is a law in our country that allows local residents of the city of Manaus to have a different price on weekends and holidays, however we act within the law. Before you go around lacking respect and denigrating the image of a serious company, get informed, you should have contacted us to find out more!!! Have a good day!

      1. The tour was advertised as a maximum of 20 people per tour. We were placed on a boat with more than SIXTY, yes 60, people. Imagine the quality of the tour you receive when you're with a group of people 3x the amount than it was supposed to be. With that number of people it was impossible to hear everything that was being said (not the guide’s fault).

      2. We contacted the tour agency prior to booking the tour to ask about adding a particular activity that was not included on the itinerary (piranha fishing). We were assured that this activity would be included in our tour. We have a voice message confirming that this request would be accommodated. It was not. The guide was not even aware of this arrangement and said that it was a separate agreement made with the agency.

      3. We paid $150 per person for a tour that had 3x more people than it was supposed to have, did not deliver on an activity that was promised to us, and paid 3x the amount of money as some other people that booked through trip advisor/viator for the same tour. We feel totally ripped off.

      4. The tour was supposed to last 8-9 hours. We were picked up at 8:30am and dropped off at 3:30pm. That’s 7 hours.

And let me be clear, this was not the guide’s fault. He did the job he was hired to do. Our problem was with the tour agency. We made several attempts through the tour agency’s preferred method of contact (whatsApp messenger) to make them aware of the issues and try to resolve it respectfully, but the agency has not responded to any of our comments.

I highly recommend this tour. Me and my boyfriend had such an awesome time in Manaus, getting in the boat with the amazing tour was excellent the boat tour until the meeting of the rivers Negro and Solimões was magnificent, they stopped by in a place where we could watch their native fish called “pirarucu” we had a chance to feed the fishes and take pictures Visiting the Indio Village was great, watching their dance and knowing a bit about their culture. I recommend you to not eat much breakfast on the day of this trip because at lunch time they have so much delicious food to offer you. Before we had lunch we went to see the Lilly pad and some cute monkeys while we walked on a bridge. Our driver Maia was really friendly while driving us from the hotel to the boat. We were very lucky with the weather too, had so much fun with the pink dolphins
Thank you so much Leonardo for always replying to me on whatsapp when I asked questions :)

This full day tour included Meeting of the Waters, lunch, swimming with the pink dolphins, and performance by the Indians at a Indian village. The Amazon is an amazing waterway. The pick up at the hotel was even earlier than promised. Make sure you stay at a hotel where you can be picked up. The hotels are listed on the tour website. As far as shopping, some vendors will accept US dollars. Visa or MasterCard is accepted by some of the larger vendors. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and take mosquito repellant as part of the tour takes you into the woods. Long sleeve cotton shirt and long pants is highly recommended.

I signed up to what I expected to be an 8 hour tour but left Manaus after 9 am and was back by 2pm. I was picked up from my hotel but on return I was told I had to make my own way back. I saw some interesting sites but at the end was left feeling very ripped off. I had booked via Viator thinking that they had done some due diligence on the companies appearing on their website. I won’t be using Viator again

Dear Mr. Patrick! We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your tour, but please note that it was informed to you that due to IBAMA (Brazilian Enviromental Agency) policies, on mondays and wednesdays the dolphin tour is strictly forbidden! that is the why your tour was a bit shorter! we also informed you that we work with pick ups only, but still our driver droped you at your place. We wish you all the best.

I went on the meeting of the waters tour, and loved it! The meeting of the waters was great, the boat and Staff were great, and I got to experience things I thought I never would. I had a couple of concerns though, but none of which involved the operator. In the Amerindian Village there were wild animals (sloths, green anacondas, boa constrictors, primates crocodilians and birds) who were kept in order to entertain visitors, and give them the chance to get that one special picture. I was disheartened at the sight, and I wish the practice would end. I realize there is money to be made from it, and that the money is very much needed. I also realize that the practice would not continue if visitors were not willing to pay. That said, I would very much have loved to
see a similar approach to wildlife as in Costa Rica, where none of this takes place. It is possible to have tourists come visit without them absolutely having to have their photograph taken with a sloth and her baby.

We were very impressed with the tour. Normally I don't like the visit to the local people's homes (Always seems like a money grab to me) but this was different. It was interesting and not pushy at all. The pink dolphins were amazing. I loved that they weren't penned in but came of their own will from the open waters. Enjoyed the lunch and again the locals did not push their merchandise on the tourists (Which made us buy more things). Loved that the monkeys showed up to see the tourists. It was actually a great tour even though it was raining at the beginning.

The meeting of the waters is impressive. two huge rivers unite, just east of Manaus, one black-blue, the other brown. Their flowing speeds and temperatures differ and the waters are a bit choppy. The most important phenomenon is the visual difference of the two rivers though. On the other side of Manaus lies the indigenous village of the Tutuya. Fit dancers perform several dances, perform with musical instruments and tell stories of their tribe. As dances go, they seemed quite authentic. Of course, you will also get the chance to buy some of their handicraft at good prices. Nice way to cut out the middle person and you know the money goes to the tribe.

A well organized trip. A standard, clean and comfortable boat (83 seats) is used and provides a pleasant trip. Gentile crew, precise timetable and a variety of activities are performed over all the day. The lunch is provided in a restaurant close to the jungle. A very nice experience for a day.
