We had a great time on the tour. The segway orientation was good (none of us had done it before) and then we were off. Nice mix of historial and current stories as we did the tour. Would highly recommend it!
Make your own way to a central Austin spot to meet your guide. Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothes and flat, closed-toed shoes. Begin with training on Segway operations and a practice run, and then follow your guide around Austin’s top landmarks. Your tour includes use of all necessary equipment.
Stop first at the Driskill Hotel and take a moment to walk around the interior while hearing from the hotel staff about the ghosts that are rumored to appear there.
Head next to the Texas State Capitol where your hear about the history of Austin and have a moment to take in the impressive architecture. Continue on your ride through town, visiting South Congress Avenue, historic Sixth Street, Rainey Street Historic District, Lady Bird Lake, and more.
Your guide provides tips on places to visit on your own after the tour ends, at the departure point.
