Overview
For many, arriving in an unfamiliar country can be disorienting, and organizing itineraries can be quite the challenge. Leave that to someone else with this trip to the Batu Caves from Kuala Lumpur. Delve into the history of the Batu Caves, and then visit the Malaysian Batik Centre and Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
What to Expect

This tour begins with hotel pickup in Kuala Lumpur. If you’ve just arrived to the city, the scenic drive provides a good way to orient yourself.

You’ll arrive at the Batu Caves, limestone masses home to golden Hindu shrines and a plethora of grey macaques. Let your guide bring the Hindu history of the monument to life and ascend 272 steps to the statue of Lord Murugan.

Following a tour of the Cathedral Cave, you’ll head to the Malaysian Batik Centre and Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Centre to further explore Malaysian culture by hearing about two of the country's most popular handicrafts.

Afterward, climb back onto your coach and return to your Kuala Lumpur hotel.

Historical place

Nice place and you can visit a temple of one lord god. Have to go through around 500 steps and you will see a natural cave which created into a temple. Nice experience.

Huge

I never expected the temple to be so huge, in a country like Malaysia, a must visit for all the travellers

I was not impressed with this tour company. First, they did not contact me to arrange a pickup time. I had to call them on the day of the tour, as I had not been notified of the time. The operator thought that my tour...More

Cheaper options if all you want to see is the Batu caves

Do not take this tour if all you want to see is the Batu caves. Our tour was USD $61 for 2 of us and took about 3 hours. In those 3 hours we spent 40 minutes at a pewter factory, 20 minutes at a...More

We took a taxi to the Batu Caves. The entrance is FREE to get in. The earlier the better because of the heat. Good Luck and enjoy!
