Overview

Visit Jerusalem and the Dead Sea on a tour from Tel Aviv that covers Israel’s cultural, historic, and natural highlights in a single day of exploring. Enjoy views of the countryside as you make the trip in a climate-controlled coach, walk the ancient streets of Jerusalem’s old city, then get some beach time at the edge of the Dead Sea, with convenient transport from Tel Aviv hotels.

What to Expect

Depart your central Tel Aviv hotel by air-conditioned coach and journey toward Jerusalem. As you travel, your guide explains Jerusalem’s ancient past and its centrality to Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths.

Enter into the Old City to see the Western Wall. Walk along part of the Via Dolorosa pilgrimage route and see the 14 Stations of the Cross that mark Jesus’ route to his crucifixion site, where the Church of the Holy Sepulchre stands.

Back aboard your coach, drive to the Dead Sea, the salt lake located at the earth’s lowest point on land—around 1,312 feet (400 meters) below sea level.

On arrival, enjoy approximately two hours to bathe and laze on the mineral beach. Experience a swim (or float) in the salt-rich waters, and, if you wish, enjoy a mud bath.

Later, drive past the historical city of Jericho on your way back to Tel Aviv, where a hotel drop-off ends your trip.

Group too big

The tour started a little bit chaotic and the organization could have been better. The group was definitely too big (almost full big bus, 30 pax?). Our guide Albert was friendly with a big knowledge, however it was bilingue (French/English) even though we booked "English",...More

Once in life, you must see it

Combining Jerusalem and Dead Sea in one day is good for grabing a taste of those two fabulous places. You may feel a little bit not enough and want to come back again.

Great way to see the most important sites

If you only have one day, this tour is the best. You see the most important sites in Jerusalem as well as the Dead Sea.

This packs in a lot

Isaac (not actually his real name) was a charismatic and entertaining tour guide, He refers to the group as a 'family' - a nice touch as it did mean the random collection of strangers on the tour did look out for each other through the...More

You should be back in Tel Aviv around 18:00 (local time). They drop you directly back at your hotel so the exact time you arrive back will depend on how many hotels they have to go to.
