Discover the River of a Thousand Lingas and Phnom Kulen Waterfalls on a private tour from Siem Riep to a site that’s been considered sacred since the time of ancient Khmer people. Traveling from Siem Riep to Phnom Kulen in a private, climate-controlled vehicle, you’ll see remote villages and tropical forest, with stops to see a massive Buddha image, take in ancient Khmer carvings, and swim in a jungle pool.
What to Expect
Meet a guide at your hotel in Siem Riep, then begin the 2-hour drive from Siem Riep to Phnom Kulen in a climate-controlled vehicle, passing a series of local communities and lush forest.

The first stop of the day is a reclining Buddha image cut from a huge sandstone boulder in a hilltop temple that draws pilgrims from around Cambodia. From there, continue to the River of a Thousand Lingas, a riverbed that’s carved with images of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Another sacred site is Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, where you can cool off by swimming or wading in the pool at the base of the falls. Here and throughout the day, take advantage of your time with a private guide to learn the historic and cultural significance of Phnom Kulen, enjoying the flexibility to explore each destination at your own pace.

Highlight of Cambodia

We hired a private driver and spent the whole day at this spectacular park. There were markets, street food stalls, beautiful temples, the incredible 1000 Lingas site, and the spectacular waterfall. It was also a great way to break up our days at Angkor.
