My Wife and I decided at the last minute to book the Full-Day trip to Montenegro whilst on our trip to Dubrovnik. After booking the trip we received a WhatsApp message asking us to confirm the location of our hotel for the hotel pick up and the time we had to be ready for.

Our tour guide Tanya, was amazing and very knowledgeable about Montenegro and also Dubrovnik and was very willing to help with any questions or queries. Our bus driver was also a very pleasant man but unfortunately I can't recall his name but they both made the day run like clockwork.

The Stops:
Our Lady on the Rocks - Such a stunning location with an amazing story behind it. One thing to mention here is that the boat to visit the church costs 10 EUR (per person) or the equivalent in Kuna - This is paid to the skipper in cash so make sure you have some with you!

Kotor:
A lovely small old town which is fantastic to explore in your own time. It really should be called the town of cats!

Budva:
A lovely coastal old town with plenty of places to eat. I would recommend holding off until reaching here to have some lunch. However, there is places in Kotor where you can pick up a large slice of pizza for 2 EUR.

In Summary:
This is a fantastic day trip and is one I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Dubrovnik!

My only point for improvement would be the size of the minivan. Yes the clue is in the name but the spacing between the seats is very small and could prove to be less comfortable for larger passengers or challenging for those with mobility issues!

While visiting Dubrovnik we came across the company Super Tours from our arranged airport transport which we decided to do two of their excursions during our stay (Montenegro and Bosnia).

The tour to Montenegro was excellent our tour guide Tanya and driver had great knowledge of the areas and towns we visited and went out of their way to answer any questions we had about the history of Montenegro/Dubrovnik. The bus collected us at 7am and returned just after 6pm but it didn't feel like that long traveling with the stops and tour guide talking while we reached the next destination.

I would highly recommend Super Tours for all of your excursions or airport transfers while in Dubrovnik we really enjoyed our time and its a great way to visit another destination while visiting Croatia!

We had a great experience with Super Tours on our day trip to Montenegro which included Perast, Kotor, and Budva. Marino was easy to communicate with and answer any questions beforehand, and Ivan our guide and driver was great! He was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us great insight into the region and its history. We felt we had ample time at each stop, and were able to accomplish a lot, possibly due to the season still being relatively quiet while global travel restrictions are beginning to open up. In Perast, we took the boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, which was really beautiful from up close and served as a great view point to see the surrounding bay. In Kotor, I was able to hike up to St John Fortress to see the view. If you plan on doing this, make sure you have euros (cash) on hand for the entrance fee which is located up several flights of stairs, as they do not accept kuna or card. I unfortunately made that mistake and had to go back down to the ATM and then climb up the stairs again to start the hike. After climbing many steps in Kotor, I decided to be more relaxed in Budva and was able to hire a boat to show us the coastline all the way down to Sveti Stefan which took about 1.5 hours. Be sure to negotiate price and timing before you depart so you do not miss your meeting time to rejoin the group before heading back to Dubrovnik. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Super Tours for any excursions or day trips while staying in Dubrovnik!

The guide Ivan was excellent and knowledgeable. That said, on balance I wouldn’t recommend this tour as it was very expensive and very poor value. Although it lists at $64 per adult, my child and I were charged $180 each and then on top of that we still had to pay to visit Bay of Kotor and to get access to walk up the stairs for views. There are certainly better values and ways to see Montenegro in a small or larger group than this tour through SuperTours.

The tour itself was fantastic! Montenegro is insanely beautiful and underrated. The guide was fantastic too. However it was expensive since NOTHING is included in this tour. It’s basically only transportation that you’re paying for. You have to pay for everything in Montenegro. Almost felt like you have to pay to pass gas lol!
They don’t pick you up at your hotel they pick you up down the street which makes no sense because they drive right by your hotel anyway. The tour does not start at 8am it starts at 6. So if you want your hotel breakfast you won’t be getting it. Also they don’t drop you off at your hotel either at the end. I was lucky to be dropped off close to my hotel but others on my tour were dropped off at the cable car and had to take an expensive cab ride back to their hotel.
At the end of the tour, which is a 12 hour day, they make you get off the bus and take a ferry to the other side of the bay in Montenegro. After a long day of 3 cities, 12 hours, its a little annoying since I’m already tired and don’t want to go anywhere but sleep on the bus back to Dubrovnik. It just seemed a bit unnecessary but I do understand that it’s easier for the driver. Overall I’d rate this tour 8/10 since the tour itself was fantastic but some elements of it were unnecessary and strange.

Our guide was great. On the way to the border she gave a brief history of Croatia, provided updates well in advance as to what the next stop would be, made good reservations and kept us on time. We had a delay at the Montenegro/Croatian border, but that is not the tour operators fault.

Overall the experience was quite enjoyable and provided enough structure and freedom to experience Montenegro.

I came to Dubrovnik on a solo trip and decided to take this tour based on the good reviews. It was definitely the right decision! Our tour guide, Ivan was so great, he was very professional, was able to answer all of our questions about the cities and the countries, and he gave us great recommendations for restaurants. Our local tour guide, Boian, was also wonderful!

Ivan picked up me and the other person on the tour next to the Pile Gate and gave us an introduction. We asked him questions as he drove us to the first destination, then gave us time to walk around each place. Every place we visited was absolutely beautiful, and cities / towns that I otherwise would not have seen. I highly recommend this tour! Although one note, I paid more by booking through Trip Advisor, but the other person on my tour booked directly with the company and paid less than half of what I paid.

When we booked this tour, we knew that Montenegro would be hot in August. We thought that we would be able to find some way to beat the heat. We could not. None of the shops or restaurants that we found were air conditioned. The tour included three 90 minute stops that (due to the heat) seemed a little long. We found ourselves searching for shade and waiting 30 minutes or longer each time the until we could get back into the van. The vehicle was filled to capacity (8 guests) which seemed a little tight. The front middle seat has no leg room and should be reserved for either a child or very small adult. The A/C was on but seemed insufficient due the exterior temperature and number of passengers. I was seated in the back seat where I could not hear any of what the driver was saying over the fan noise. We found the sites lovely, historic and well worth seeing. I do recommend booking this tour (maybe not in August) but do choose a center seat.

My wife and I just finished this tour and loved it!! A friend of ours mentioned not to miss Montenegro if we were in Dubrovnik, and we’re so glad we got to see it. Guide was super knowledgeable with great English and we enjoyed the tour route well. Stunning scenery, and we were really impressed with the almost fjord-like bay. Seems that in busier times there can be quite long waits at the border (>1hr), but it was less than 5 minutes each way for us. Make sure you take out some Euro cash early on, as several of the best things to do during free time (going to Our Lady of the Rocks island, climbing partway above Kotor) require Euros in cash to do. Overall highly recommend!

Really enjoyed it. Kotor and Budva are beautiful. Picked up from the hotel, the driver/guide was very good and knowledgeable, I forgot his name otherwise I would personally praise him.
I would recommend the trip. The price of it I thought was fair. 2 hours in each of the above towns is just enough to have a quick look round and visit a few buildings.
