Welcome to Dubrovnik. This memorable excursion through Croatia’s most famous medieval city begins at the top of Stradun, the splendid main promenade street of the Old Town. Each corner of this legendary city is its own unique experience. Our professionally guided tour is led by our tour guide with years of experience whose passion for the city will be evident as you walk through these ancient streets and marvel to the rich architectural ensemble all around you. The guided tour lasts for about an hour and a half. After the walking tour you have enough time to re-visit the main attractions of the Old Town and enjoy a local cafe, restaurant or many crafts and shops.

Our small mini van met us promptly at 6.25 am!!! to drive us to Split for the coach to Dubrovnik. Everyone found a seat and off we went....in an air-conditioned coach. Our driver Steipe, sorry for bad spelling, was a master at negotiating the narrow roads and our guide Igor was a wealth of knowledge! 3 hour drive to Dubrovnik with stops along the way. This was an amazing tour and great value for the money.

We had a very good day in Dubrovnik, our driver Frane was a very good driver so we felt safe all the way and had good humor. And out guide Roko was very professional, and adapted to the group. Roko and Frane both were funny and helpful with everything. The time on the road went fast and our guide showed many interesting things on the road to Dubrovnik and back. I totally recommend this tour, you will enjoy it a lot.

Bus was very confortable, with a bathroom, guide Rocko was extremely knowledgeable and driver was quiet but very nice too. Drive was faster than predicted both ways, I highly b recommend this tour if you want to have a taste of Dubrovnik while visiting Croatia, make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat, it's VERY HOT there, way hotter than Split and Trogir.

The old town is very interesting, a lot of history. Our guide Andre (Andrew) is very good, during the 4 hours drive, he explained the history of Croatia.

The town is very beautiful but weather was extremely hot at 38 degrees. We took a boat ride out which is very nice.

The con about this trip is the bust ride to and flow takes 8 hours from Split where we stayed and the bus aircon was not working, everyone was complaining because weather was hot and the air in the bus was also hot. For the price is a bit high as nothing was included exclude the guide and the bus ride.

During our holiday in Split we had the pleasure of going on two tours with Portal Days tours, the Dubrovnik Day Trip and the Plitvice Lakes Day, both of which were AMAZING! We had the dream team Igor and Tiko for both our tours. Igor is incredibly knowledgable and funny, mixing a great blend of facts and humour which made the tour so exciting and entertaining!

The tour to Dubrovnik itself was perfect, a long drive of around 3 hours each way but with the rest stops and Igor entertaining us with interesting facts, witty humour and highlighting points of interest along the way it didn't feel as long as it was. After our guided tour (of around an hour), we had plenty of free time to explore Dubrovnik, get food, walk the city walls and visit Fort Lovrijenac.

We booked through Viator.com which made it so easy and stress free. From booking the tour we had regular communication with Portal Tours which was reassuring and provided us with all the information we needed.

We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tours/excursions whilst staying in Split! Thank you Igor and Tiko for giving us such unforgettable experiences!

Wonderful day tour to Dubrovnik from Split. Our guide Igor is a native from Dubrovnik and was incredibly knowledgeable of his city. His humor and impeccable English was welcoming and made our trip fun! Our driver Andrej was a safe and excellent driver. I learned soo much from our tour and the time given to us for roaming around Dubrovnik was plentiful. Igor’s food advice was helpful and at our brief stop in Bosnia, he recommended these delicious apple cakes which we enjoyed very much. Overall, I highly recommend everyone use Portal day tours. They are professional, care about your well being and made our day very special.

A wonderful adventure with a great tour guide. He was kind, friendly and passionate about history. Always open to our needs and suggestions like taking the coast road so we could see all the beautiful costal towns.
He also suggested a side trip for dinner to ston which was amazing. Andrej was knowledgeable and we had a great time swapping stories and learning about the history of Croatia not just the old town of Dubrovnik.
If we ever come back to split we will ask for Andrej again, I mean who doesn’t like a guide you can joke with and talk about “Only fools and horses” and “Black Adder”.
10/10 good sir!

We booked trough Viator and the trip was conducted by Portal travel agency.
First word for Viator, they were great. Definitely would book again if they were the organizers. I booked the trip months in advance of our stay in Split, so we have chosen a "bad" pickup point as we were farther from that specific point than we first thought.
I've sent an email to Viator the day before the trip and they were fast and very informative helping me to chose a better pickup point. Very reliable and efficient.
The excursion itself...
I will refrain from giving a long opinion about Dubrovnik. Both me and my wife loved the city and felt we had enough time to get to know it on our free time there.
That being said, the trip was really nice. Both the driver and the guide, with his extensive knowledge about pretty much everything, made the Long journey felt shorter from the smooth drive and the entertainment.
Arriving on Dubrovnik we had a good walking tour with the guide and he made it very easy for us to choose what to do and where to go in our free time.
On our way back he kept giving us more suggestions on things to do and places to go around Split with the sole intention of making us enjoy the stay in the city.
All in all, great day.
5 stars rate all day long.

I couldn’t recommend this trip more. A pleasant coach ride from Split. Igor and Tiho were fantastic guides from start to finish. Extremely knowledgeable and funny and great singers (they sung a little song to us on the way home). Igor is easy to spot in the crowds of Dubrovnik as he looks a lot like Tim Robbins from the Shawshank Redemption. Dubrovnik it’s self is breathtaking and a must see place. An all round great trip!!
