What to expect
Depart from the designated meeting point in Split or Trogir, and make the scenic journey south along Dalmatia’s rugged coast toward Dubrovnik. Hear about the region from your guide and stop for photos at several overlooks for amazing panoramic views of the Dalmatian islands. Continue to Dubrovnik, and take a walking tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town with a local guide. Encircled by 16th-century walls, this pristine medieval quarter features immaculately preserved townhouses, palaces, churches, and limestone-paved streets. Enter through the Pile Gate, and see the Franciscan Monastery with its splendid cloister. Visit the monastery’s 14th-century Pharmacy, Europe’s oldest working pharmacy, and stroll down the Stradun, the city’s glorious main street. At the end, admire the porticos and carvings of the Sponza Palace, and visit the cathedral, a Baroque masterpiece built after Dubrovnik’s 1667 earthquake. Then, enjoy free time to explore and relax at leisure. Perhaps walk the walls to survey the red rooftops, ride a cable car above the town, go souvenir-shopping, or eat at any of the enticing restaurants. Finally, reconvene with your vehicle, finishing your trip at the departure point in Split or Trogir. **If you are meeting us at the meeting point in Trogir, please let us know in advance. Possibly the itinerary may be adjusted due to the traffic or bad weather conditions.

Great tour with Andrey
Oct 2019
It was really a nice tour to Dubrovnik with tour leader Andrey who give us a conplete
and clear story about Dubrovnik ,Yugoslavia before and other things you can go by
yourself around Split.
We have enough time to explore the city, the wall and even try the local fruit on the

No Walk of Shame in Dubrovnik
Sep 2019
Sorry just couldn't resist getting in the GOT reference as that's one of this city's most recent claims to fame.

Needless to say our day tour of Dubrovnik with Portal Tours was far from a 'walk of shame' and more of an epic adventure hosted by Igor, whose witty commentary and extensive knowledge of the city kept you enthralled. He was brilliant!

Dubrovnik itself was swamped with visitors making it difficult to truly enjoy the sights and sounds of the place but we still managed to explore its winding streets, beautiful cathedral in the time we had.

To get a better feel for the place, visitors may want to consider doing their trip to Dubrovnik with an overnight stay rather than as a day tour then you can explore the city early in the morning before the cruise ship crowds arrive.

Highly recommend Portal Tours - one of the best days out I've had in a long time.

Unforgettable Experience!
Sep 2019 • Couples
During our holiday in Split we had the pleasure of going on two tours with Portal Days tours, the Dubrovnik Day Trip and the Plitvice Lakes Day, both of which were AMAZING! We had the dream team Igor and Tiko for both our tours. Igor is incredibly knowledgable and funny, mixing a great blend of facts and humour which made the tour so exciting and entertaining!

The tour to Dubrovnik itself was perfect, a long drive of around 3 hours each way but with the rest stops and Igor entertaining us with interesting facts, witty humour and highlighting points of interest along the way it didn't feel as long as it was. After our guided tour (of around an hour), we had plenty of free time to explore Dubrovnik, get food, walk the city walls and visit Fort Lovrijenac.

We booked through Viator.com which made it so easy and stress free. From booking the tour we had regular communication with Portal Tours which was reassuring and provided us with all the information we needed.

We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for tours/excursions whilst staying in Split! Thank you Igor and Tiko for giving us such unforgettable experiences!

A sunny day out in Dubrovnik
Aug 2019 • Couples
The day tour to Dubrovnik doesn't start in Dubrovnik, it starts with the wonderful sights you'll see on the way there from Split. The Croatian scenery is beautiful. Igor was our guide and we had actually done one tour already with him to the Krka waterfalls park. I must say on both occasions he was extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw and answered any questions we had. Getting to Dubrovnik is definitely the highlight of the trip. The coast around the town, the clear blue water, and the vibrancy of the city make this an excellent trip for anyone who wants to check out Dubrovnik and coupled with an excellent tour guide means you're getting your money's worth.

Amazing day
We had a very good day in Dubrovnik, our driver Frane was a very good driver so we felt safe all the way and had good humor. And out guide Roko was very professional, and adapted to the group. Roko and Frane both were funny and helpful with everything. The time on the road went fast and our guide showed many interesting things on the road to Dubrovnik and back. I totally recommend this tour, you will enjoy it a lot.

Dubrovnik day tour from Split
Jun 2019 • Family
this was an excellent tour, we were picked up from our hotel in Split by Ivan who drove my sons and I directly to Dubrovnik in a comfortable van. a few other guest had cancelled so we had the van all to ourselves. We had a personal tour, it was fabulous. Ivan was well versed about Croatia and gave very interesting and informative details about his country. on the way to Dubrovnik we were able to stop at a local fruit stand to take in breathtaking views of the valleys and buy some local fruits/products. in Dubrovnik our guide was Igor who was also excellent in explaining all the fascinating history about Dubrovnik. overall very enjoyable , would recommend this tour to everyone
