Valentin first showed us around Cusco in the evening and shared with us details about Cusco’s history before taking us to the Planetarium, which was later followed by a delicious local dinner. It was an amazing evening. Valentin is extremely knowledgeable about Cusco’s history and shared with us details about his childhood and growing up in Cusco. We enjoyed his insight tremendously. The Planetarium was a unique experience that we highly recommend. It was also very romantic. Overall our experience was exceptional and we think any trip to Cusco would be incomplete without a tour with Valentin’s Pachamama tour experience.

We used Valentin for our tour of Cusco. We couldn’t have been more happier with everything we did. We learned so much about Cusco and the people of the region. His English is wonderful and you will remember forever the stories he tells. If you can book him for any of the tours he does I am sure you will be very happy.

10/10 tour with Deyvis! We learned so much about Cusco, Inca tradition and more in our walking tour around San Pedro market and other key sites. Deyvis was super knowledgeable and great fun! The planetarium was spectacular, too. Would definitely recommend - a great way to spend an afternoon and evening in Cusco.

We arrived in Cusco and were immediately met at our hotel for a charming walking tour of Cusco. We thought the market might be a tourist trap so may not have gone on our own, but it was so much better than that. Lots of locals eating, shopping, and selling their wares. It was crowded and crazy but definitely fun to have a guide point out some of the more interesting details. The pisco sour was also lovely, in a spot overlooking the main square. We happened to get a cloudy night for the planetarium, but the team that runs the planetarium (by the way, unlike any US planetarium) has so much energy and enthusiasm for their work that it was fun anyway. We were able to see some amazing star clusters in-spite-of-the-clouds with their excellent telescopes. Overall, great evening.

I booked this tour somewhat last minute, as after reviewing my mother & I's itinerary for our trip to Peru I felt that I needed to "mix it up" a bit and do something that incorporated more of the local scene (flavors, people & experiences). Given that Cusco is at such a high elevation I thought the Planetarium would be very interesting & I was also very interested in visiting the local market (San Pedro) and seeing what the real feria's or markets are like for the locals.
Valentin met us at our hotel with his nephew Milton right on time. Both well prepared, warm & polite from the very beginning. Both Valentin & Milton are very educated and knowledgeable in their field, having worked their way up from farms & very rural areas in the sacred valley, to hotels and restaurants, to finally earning degrees in tourism/history and achieving certifications in english to pursue their dreams. We were very impressed with their knowledge and just the sheer dedication they had to accomplish these goals of owning their own tour company and striving to provide such excellent experiences.
We started off walking from our hotel in the Plaza de Armas to the San Pedro Market. I was astonished by the size of this market and it truly s more of a "locals" market, with vendors selling exotic animals, foods, clothing, etc..things you would NEVER see in the Plaza de Armas or touristy areas. Everywhere we looked we were overwhelmed by what we saw & how interesting it was. We stopped in the various sections (cheeses, chocolate, breads, poultries, etc) and were given samples, given information about the products, where they came from, etc ..was amazing. We bought some beautiful pure liver jewelry there for 1/3 of the price of the shops in the Plaza area as well. We stopped for a delicious Pisco Sour on our way back to the Plaza & got to know Valentin and Milton a bit more, truly wonderful human beings.
We then walked to our bus to take us up to the Planetarium & joined some other groups. The Planetarium was on a farm way up in the hills and it was beautiful, serene and quite compared to the bustling city Cusco has become. We had a 30 minute show about the starts, the Incan astrological beliefs and about the various constellations in the hemispheres in the Planetariums dome. We the went outside and were given warm blankets to look at the moon & stars. Was really interesting and I enjoyed the change of scene from museums, etc that we had done for the rest of our trip. Was a nice change!
Lastly, we ended our memorable day with a delicious local dinner of Pollo a las Brasas. You could tell this was a locals favorite spot, as Peruvian families were there having dinner in large groups, all speaking spinach or the native language. Again- I appreciated that we weren't being taken to the touristy areas & really seeing what life is like for the native people of Cusco. The food was soooo good & we enjoyed everything. We found out during this time that aside from the MANY tours that Valentin does & traveling, that he is a champion for his people, donating everything from clothing/shoes to poorer areas, to creating tours which engage the children in meeting tourists in hopes that it will motivate & inspire them to "dream big" and pursue an education. he helps build schools and is very well respected among the communities in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, etc...We enjoyed every minute of the tour from a tourist perspective, as it was fun, engaging, food was delicious and it was well organized. From a human perspective Valentin, was inspiring, kind, respectful, knowledgeable, driven and a human being we will both remember for the rest of our lives. I would highly recommend ANY tour with him and wish him all the best in his career and in life. Know that you are in great hands if you book a tour with him & I can guarantee that just like us, you will enjoy every minute of it. Best tour we had and thank you both! Muchas Gracias!

Not only is Valentin an amazing person, thoughtful and perceptive, he is an amazing tour guide. Talking with Valentin was like talking to an old friend. We spent time in the San Pedro Market, which is the main market downtown. We got a real sense of Cusco everyday life for a vendor and customers. The evening was perfect and the planetarium, and star gazing was a fun treat, very well done, and Valentin supplied blankets for the cool night air! Thank you Valentin for a wonderful evening in Cusco!

We booked the Cusco by night tour to the planetarium. This tour exceeded our expectations. Our private guide, Deybi Caceres, was wonderful!! I would definitely recommend asking for Deybi as your guide!! His English is excellent. We took a few other tours while in Cusco, Sacred Valley and none of the other guides could live up to the hospitality Deybi provided! Our tour started with Deybi arriving promptly at our hotel. From there we walked a few blocks to plaza de armes where Deybi gave us a ton of history of the plaza and surrounding areas. He gave us info from pre Inca to Inca to present day use. From there we walked to several other famous spots in close proximity. Deybi took us to a local market. We spent a good amount of time there as he explained how it was laid out, how pricing worked and pointed out several interesting local items. We purchased a few items to try and sample with Deybi’s help! The market was wonderful. We would have been lost there with out the local knowledge! From there we stopped for a Ois o sour and jumped onto a bus to the planetarium. The planetarium was wonderful and we learned so much about the sky and the local/ ancient study of the stars.
Last, Deybi took us to a local spot for dinner. I was a bit nervous about eating local cuisine as this was our first day in Cusco, I didn’t know what to expect! Deybi took care of everything! He asked what we liked & what we didnt. He taught us a little about the menu and the traditional sauces to expect to see. We had a wonderful meal! Deybi was very patient with all our questions! He truly made out experience in Cusco better!! Our night ended with Deybi walking us back to our hotel and giving us tips for the rest of our trip along the way!

We had a wonderful time with Deybi and it was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon/evening in Cusco. The walking tour of the market was fascinating, and the Piscos were delicious! Since everyone in our group had already had “regular” Pisco sours, Deybi has us try Passion Fruit Sours, and they were So. Good. We sat at the window of a second story restaurant on the Plaza de Armas and had a gorgeous view of the Plaza at sunset.

We also lucked out and had an amazing night for stargazing— the highlight was a crystal clear view of Saturn and it’s rings. Dinner was also amazing—honestly, we have no complaints about this tour at all. Thank you Deybi!!

My wife and I had a great time in the night tour. Having just arrived to Cusco about 2 hours before getting picked up at 3pm, it was the perfect slow paced tour to get us used to the altitude. Our guide was very nice and knowledge, food and drinks were good, would recommend.
