I had 23 hours layover in Lhasa, so They made a budget day tour for me; Jim always replied my emails, and send me my permit on time on my hostel in China. The guide on my tour was Ngawang, she picked me up in the airport and she always was after me. The negative thing was they didnt take me to take a tea with local, as the itinerary mention.

Dear robertofg07, Your feedback has been a valuable to our service. Apart from the friendly guys - Jim & Ngawang, there is a few misunderstandings I feel compelled to clarify. Tast the sweet tea is not included in the itinerary and it's just a optional recommend for guests at their leisure. Our guides will be happy to give directions and assist with relevant arrangement. Again, I'm glad to hear that you had a great time in Lhasa. We will keep working hard to perfect our tour service and upgrading our tour products.

Our guide Tserina was excellent at both Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, preparing us well for what was to come, and narrating for us the religious and historical significance of both venues.

Where she really impressed us, however, was in the activities beyond these two attractions, such as transportation, drinks, and meals.

We especially appreciated her going out of her way to bring us the most economical options, including to local restaurants, or striking the right balance between hassle, time, and cost when it came to getting from one place to another.

So at one point, we were on a bus with locals. Then at another time, we were on trishaws. And when it made sense, we were in a taxi.

Yes, being at this world renown sites was great, but having a local like Tserina on hand made every thing so much better.

We came to Tibet as a small tiny group of three: me, my girlfriend and my mom. The first day we arrived at Lhasa airport, right from there went to our hotel in the very old part of Lhasa, super cool, then food and rest. According to general recommendations, one needs at least two days to acclimatize to an altitude of 3500+ meters. I'd say it is a very individual thing since I was pretty much OK on the second day. Right, we bought some medicine that helps to feel better in such circumstances sooner. On that second day, we visited Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. It's a shame it's prohibited to take photos inside of the temple, because it's so beautiful and fascinating, though rulers are rules. Best memories are inside (in your head), right? Well. After Potala Palace, we checked this old Lhasa temple, which is also pretty much interesting to visit. And last, but not least to mention our guide, James! He met us at the airport perfectly on time, then brought us to our hotel, told us a lot of interesting cultural and historical facts while on our way. No complaints :) Really cool dude. James is an energetic, cheerful, optimistic, informative guide. Thank you, James, if you read this post by any chance. I do hope to come to Tibet sometime in the future. I am positive to recommend your service (Tibet Vista) to my friends and pals. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Moscow!

I booked the train from Beijing to Lhasa and a one day tour through Tibet Vista.

Everything was really well organized. I had nothing to worry about. The train ticket collection was very easy: I simply went to a counter at Beijing West station and showed my passport and a note that Tibet Vista had written in Chinese. The Tibet permit was sent to me by email (you do not need the original when you travel by train).

In Lhasa I did the 1-day Potang Palace and Jokhang Temple tour. My guide was Dawa. He is just great! Very funny, customer-oriented and friendly. And he has a profound knowledge.

I can strongly recommend this organization.

Jokang temple is at the heart of Lhasa, the city was built around it. But the Potala is the iconic view from Lhasa. At Jokang you will be able to stroll the Barkhor square area

We did an awesome 4 days tour in Lhasa, Tibet with the most amazing local tour guide -Daniel. The beautiful and breathtaking sceneries in Tibet as well as the nicest October weather with warm days and blue skies made our days in Lhasa an unforgettable and wonderful journey!!. We had the opportunity to visit Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace with striking landscapes and plenty of historic and religious interest. Our guide Daniel is very knowledgeable and well-versed in Tibetan history and culture, he has an incredible good attitude and is also very entertaining; which helped us having an absolutely fascinating trip. I highly recommend him to anyone planning a tour in Lhasa.

We decided to visit Lhasa with our 3 years old kid!
The contact with the agency was very good and trustworthy from the very beginning (after contacting several other agencies)! They organized our trip from The train in Beijing to Lhasa and also Tibetan permit. We decided not to stay at the hotel recommended by the agency but at the Fengma Feiyang hostel. Everything was smooth and easy from Beijing to Lhasa where you get picked up and drop off at your hotel.
We did a 2 days tour with our 3years old one! I want to say a special thank you to tenzing (small) to make our tour unforgettable! Really want to thank him for his patience, kindness, attention and of course knowledge of his own history!
