      Insightful tour about Hong Kong!
Alexandra is a very knowledgeable and nice guide. She has shared a lot of insightful stories about Hong Kong throughout the visit. We could visit different areas in 3h (Statue Square, HSBC tower, Standard Charter Tower, Tram, Sheung Wan, Man Mo temple, etc), which was a perfect duration for us to see and learn enough before our next activity. We highly recommend Hong Kong A La Carte for your next trip!

      Brilliant introduction to Hong Kong
We had a lovely time with Alexandra on our first day in Hong Kong, travelling as a family of 3, with our 15-year-old daughter. This was a fantastic introduction to the City. Alexandra told us all about the history of Hong Kong and gave us lots of information on its architecture too. Alexandra is very well-informed, has huge insight, she is a smiley and considerate guide. We recommend her highly.

A day in Shenzen (departure from Hong Kong)
A very interesting day discovering Shenzen with Stéphanie who is a valuable guide for navigating the megalopolis. We were a group of 7 friends and got to see a lot in just 1 day from Hong Kong. Having left Hong Kong by West Kowloon Railway station by the new fast train from HK, we arrive in Futian District in only 14 minutes and were able to climb to the top of the Ping An Tower in the Free Sky observatory from where we can contemplate the city from a height of 600 meters (. The view was not clear, but taking the ultra-fast elevator and finding yourself at the top of Shenzen was still worth it. the photos with the helicopter simulation and the light columns were very cool Then we explored the historic district of Nantou (by going there by electric taxi) with a stroll in the pedestrian old town and its pretty old houses. We had the chance to have lunch on a terrace surrounded by greenery. The next step, we discovered the HuaqiangBei district with electronic component shops and everyday gadgets at unbeatable prices. In the next district, Dongmen / Laojie, 'the old town' - Stéphanie showed us a noisy, lively and fascinating food market with local specialties (skewers of scorpions, snakes and various insects) where they cook in front of us. After a few metro stations, we reached the Lo Wu mall on the border with Hong Kong where tailors, seamstresses, manufacturers of glasses, cashmere and various counterfeits are waiting to welcome you. The day was busy and Stéphanie's explanations and guidance were essential to better understand the city and its recent transformation. Definitely to do.

      Great private tour
This was a wonderful tour which gave us the opportunity to travel around Hong Kong using various forms of transportation without the worry of getting lost or stranded, as we had our very attentive, knowledgeable, and caring .guide. She told us about the culture and history of the area. We saw the Big Buddha and the Tai O fishing village where we had a boat ride. We had a good lunch and were shown how to use chopsticks. There was time to do some shopping. We rode a scenic 6 km cable car. We took a lot of photos and our guide also took quite a few for us. She made sure that we got back to our hotel safely.

      Ablelda is fantastic
Thank you Stephanie What a wonderful trip, the sights of Macau 🇲🇴 We were professionally driven around by Michel (Ablelda). He was full wonderful information and helpful insights into Macau. Traditional Portuguese lunch was fabulous - mush try is the ceviche pig’s ears. The organisation was faultless and there was great communication. Highly recommend, as it was one of our highlights. We were staying in Hong Kong and everything was awesome

      John's review
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The stories were relevant to the history of Hong Kong. A picture of hoe the city got to where it is today based on the historical events and the people drove our culture forward.

Our guide Stephanie was great. Very punctual, she arrived a bit earlier than agreed to pick us up.

We did an itinerary that involved a cable car ride, a visit to the Buddha, and then we went down to the fishing village of Tai O.

At all times, Stephanie explained what we were seeing, the reasons behind each thing, and engaged us with the local history. From simple things like the history of the airport's construction or the bridge to Macau, to more historical aspects such as the Opium Wars and the constitution of Hong Kong.

Furthermore, her knowledge as a guide helped us optimize the tour, avoiding queues and the busiest times at attractions, which not only saved time but also made the tour more relaxed and stress-free.

I highly recommend taking this tour with Stephanie.

We had a perfect day visiting Lantau, the Big Buddha and Tai O village with Alexandra. She is gentle, knowledgeable and a lovely person to learn from and to be guided by. We very much enjoyed our time with her visiting this beautiful green and calm island and gaining insider knowledge. I couldn't recommend her and a visit to Lantau more!

we did the private walking tour of lantau island, including the big buddha and tai o village. Our guide (Alex) really tried to find special things to entertain our young girls, pointed out good locations to try street food, and found us a nice spot for lunch on the beach. Having a guide was great, because navigating the queues for the cable car aren't straight forward and she was able to show us more of the village than we would have explored on our own. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins but that is a gamble with any tour. Though we had younger children (5-7), there is a lot of walking on this tour (probably around 10K steps) and it wouldn't work well with strollers. We only did this one tour with the company but Alex was very knowledgeable about the city and could likely do a great job with any of their tours.

Alex was a wonderful tour guide who gave us a private tour of Lantau Island and Tai O. She was very informative and passed on to us a lot of information about The history of Hong Kong and Lantau Island, the people, and culture. We explored with Alex by foot, subway, cable car and ferry which helped to immerse us in the everyday life on the islands. We highly recommend booking your next tour with Alex. Awesome guide!!

What an incredible way to experience the beauty of Lantau Island!!!

We met STEPHANIE (our SUPERB GUIDE) at our hotel. She led us to the MTA subway for an enjoyable ride to the Lantau Island Cable Car. We then took at 25 minute cable car ride to view the Giant Buddha... an incredible sight!!!

We climbed the 266 steps for an up close and personal view of the Buddha.

Stephanie then led us on a tour of the Monastery and then on to a small boat ride to Tai O Village. We toured this amazing village and ate a delicious lunch at a unique and atmospheric local eatery.

After lunch, we continued our tour of Tai O Village. We visited a Taoist Temple and then took a bus to the MTA and rode the MTA back to Kowloon.

Stephanie then led us to the Lady's Market, just a few blocks from our hotel.

Thanks to Stephanie, it was truly a great day!!!

Lovely and informative day started when Stephanie picked my parents and me up in the lobby and having Stephanie to help quickly get on the right tubes was great and time saving as was the fact that having a guide meant you skipped queues. The journey to Lantau was smooth and getting to know each other. The cable journey to Lantau is definitely worth it and the big Buddha is a wonderful sight from all angles, sadly it's become quite touristy in the vicinity and I hadn't realised how new it all was nevertheless worth going to. From there we headed to O Tai village and again having Stephanie as a guide helped as she knew the exact times of the buses etc although never felt rushed and she always allowed for us to take our time. The village was lovely, very authentic and as we chose not to have a proper sit down lunch, Stephanie took us to a lovely coffee shop as well as a Temple which may not always be visited, in fact there was nobody there and me managed to have a go at the Spitting Bowl! Overall, we had a lovely day and learnt a lot especially in the Village where Stephanie recounted of some of the people she herself had met there and the way they lived, etc. Thanks Stephanie! And of course to Hong Kong a' la Carte!

Stephaine was a wonderful tour guide. She was very informative and such a lovely lady to spend the day with. We totally enjoyed the tour she gave. We had a great time visiting the Big Buddha and Tai O Village, we had lunch at a lovely restaurant in the village over looking the water. If we came back to Hong Kong we would hire Stephaine to take us on another tour, she's the best!

We've just moved to HK and Alex tailor-made three tours for my family that allowed us to get a great overview of life here. From the zoo, Peak and kids' play areas to big Buddha, pink dolphins and pizza on the beach, her tours were customised specifically to the interests of our three young children. And they loved them. Alex is patient, considerate and welcoming — and with years of HK experience offers a wonderful personal perspective. Recommended.
