The operators provided the contact details of the guide as soon as tour was confirmed, was great to be able to contact to confirm rendezvous. Samuel, our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and we were soon chatting away like old friends. The dim sum restaurant to try the local ware a very nice touch. Another great way to see the ‘real’ Hong Kong.

I can’t review a night tour because due to the ‘ troubles’ Richard thought it better to change it to the day time. It really didn’t matter as the tour he took us on in Kowloon was excellent culminating in taking us to a small local restaurant selling local food which we would not have gone to. He gave us some further ideas of what to see on our trip. One being to go to Stanley which we did and thoroughly enjoyed it. Richard has a great level of knowledge of HongKong/Kowloon and has a brilliant command of the English language.

Melissa turned up on time, visited Noodle restaurant and local bars which i would have missed if Melissa would not have taken me. Had a great snack meal in a picturesque square which was a local prison, again a place only the locals would know.
Melissa was also able to tell me about living in Hong Kong and answer questions like where do people park their cars.Can recommend Melissa as a guide to show you parts of Hong Kong you would surely miss.

Edward's a very knowledgeable guide who braved the rain and showed us the side of Hong Kong that's seldom seen! He went out of his way and brought us to a dim sum place that he'd frequent even after the tour was over!

This was my first time using Withlocals and I would definitely book with them again. I booked Melissa's secret bars and nightlife tour and spent the evening exploring the local bars of HKI, around the Hollywood Road area.
Melissa got in touch beforehand to check out my interests and tailored the tour to these - in my case, towards speakeasy-style hidden bars that I'd never have found by myself! It was great to be able to experience these places with someone who knows the area and Melissa was an interesting and fun person to spend the evening with.
We visited three very different - but all very good! - places to get a sense of the variety of the HK bar scene. Melissa was generous with her knowledge, sharing local history and recommendations, including a place where I grabbed some post-tour late night dinner. I would thoroughly recommend the tour - thanks Melissa for a fun evening!

Great evening with Matteo. We were a group of 6 and Matteo had his
hands full trying to keep everyone together! He has a good sense of
humour and we had a really enjoyable night. We found some great bars
to go to for the next day, tried some dumplings which we had never had
before, and at the end of the evening Matteo found us a good spot to
enjoy the light show at the pier. Would definately recommend Matteo as
your host.

We booked the Hong Kong by night tour to take the first night we
arrived in Hong Kong. However, our flight was delayed for 2.5 hours.
Samuel was very understanding and helpful. We decided to just book a
full day (6 hour) tour for the next morning. Samuel asked about what
we liked and we talked about the probability of rain but decided to
just go for it. We were lucky and it did not rain. Samuel was very
informative about the history and building of Hong Kong and took us to
see the places that we liked (temples, parks, food...less shopping). 6
hours is a long time out in the heat and humidity of Hong Kong but
Samuel made it go by very quickly. I would suggest taking his advice
on starting later in the day to avoid the heat.

Samuel was very kind to customise our tour at short notice as we realised we had already seen much of what we had originally booked with him. He took us to Mong Kok and showed us the flower market; birdcage street where birds can be bought and where locals hang their bird in the trees; the place where aquatic fish are bought; and he took us for delicious michelin star dim sum - it was a great off the beaten track visit and not somewhere we would have ended up on our own so great to see the a part of HK which is not touristic - Samuel has a great knowledge of HK and you can ask him all sorts of questions!

asked for a refund and he lied to the customer

Technically there were places that we couldn’t visit by walking although it was promised on the tour plan.
But the tour guide was friendly and flexible and overall we had a very good experience with him so we enjoyed the tour with him. I recommend this kind of tour because it can help you get to places that you wouldn’t know otherwise but I recommend to ask and make sure that what you will get what you expect.

Hello, My husband and I are Going to have a 6 hours stop in our flight from Manila to Paris at October 9th (come from Manila at 5pm and go to Paris at 11:00pm), and I would to know if maybe you can offer us a short tour (3 - 3 and half hours)... we want to know the price and maybe the availability if you can pick us and drop us back from the airport

Hi, we could choose from a drop-down list the time at which we'd like to start the tour. Starting at 6 or 7pm wasn't a problem if the tour was a short one.
My wife and will be in Hong Kong for a 12+ hour layover in Jan. We were thinking about doing a night tour to experience some of some of Hong Kong, and we don't like big group tours. Can you offer us something with a pickup at Hong Kong International Airport? Thank you
