I truly enjoyed this food tour with Matteo. He’s quite a witty character with a sharp sense of humour. Before we started tasting all those amazing meals, I had been given a brief introduction to Hong Kong’s history which had been helpful as well as Matteo’s patience to answers all my questions. We visited interesting places and restaurants I certainly would not have gone to on my own due to my cultural and linguistic limitations. I’m glad Matteo truly tried to customise this tour to my taste and likings as I sometimes struggle with local asian cuisine. Overall it was a great experience and I could not recommend Matteo more. Thank you again.

It's about as bad an experience as one could have, basically a scam. Samuel Li, the tour operator, texted me asking me to meet earlier, but I couldn't, to which he replied he'd see me at the original start time of 7:30. I texted him when I arrived, but he never heard back. I waited a half hour, and he never responded. I put a refund request into TA/Viator, shared the texts below. I also asked for the uber expenses as I had to take one to meet Sam. They denied both a the very least they should refund the tour, the operator was a no show after confirming he'd be there. He also ignored both my texts after I arrived at the designated meeting spot (see photos). DON"T BOOK THIS TOUR.

The Foodtour with Angel was an exceptional experience. On the one hand Angel introduced us to nice local places where you probably won’t go as a tourist. We had Dim Sum, Noodles, Pastries, tea and coffee. The choice was very nice and I recommend to go to the tour with an empty stomach and some appetite. On the other hand Angel as a tour guide is just amazing. An authentic local that shares not only insights about food but also about Hong Kong history, language fun facts and personal stories. I highly recommend this tour and would also do other tours with Angel. Thanks for the experience.

Unlike the tour description, we were not guided for 30 minutes through the Temple St night market - the guide dropped us off at the head of the block and said everything is for tourists and menus are in English. He did this even though I said I was very hungry and wanted help selecting dishes. We also did not get the grilled skewers, coconut water or Michelin rated desserts described in the online tour description. The “tastings” we got consisted of sharing a take out dish of gummy rice rolls, six little fish balls, some Shaomai fish dumplings - all from one corner take out stall/restaurant. They were pretty awful - just gummy, bland, drinking food. Our other two tastes were an also carbs, despite me saying I wanted meat or veggies - pineapple buns (one each!) and a waffle to share. Samuel was intelligent but did not speak clearly, and did not seem to want to talk about food. He did not provide a backstory on the vendors, or seem to have any friendly relationship with them. Compared to the many other food tours we have had in cities around the world, this one was awful - a waste of time and a rip-off.

Really disappointing. I booked a few weeks ahead and they canceled 3 hours ahead. I was looking forward to the tour. I will be getting a refund but wish they'd had a back up plan.

We had a wonderful tour with Angel on our recent visit to Hong Kong. Not only did we sample some amazing local food but as a local herself Angel gave us great insight and personal stories. We learned a lot about local history, current events and food! I highly recommend doing this tour with Angel.

We could not have a better a better host. From the very first minute, we felt at home. Friendly, funny and experienced, Matteo took us right into the heart of the amazing Hong Kong, his dominated territory for decades. You will understand the city as a local, visiting the top places and the hidden spots. Thank you Matteo. Hope to meet you again soon.

Cosmo is a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining. He has travelled to many countries himself so knows how to provide a good tour and make his guests feel well looked after.

My girlfriend and I had a great tour with Cosmo, the sudden torrential downpour didn’t dampen any spirits. Cosmo had a lot of knowledge about Hong Kong and showed us to some great spots for food and the bustling night markets.

We spent a lovely morning with Angel as she guided us around Hong Kong (Central). She had good knowledge of all the places she took us too. Walking past the Antique stalls & shops then through to the Man Mon Temple, refreshments in an authentic tea room & sampling pineapple bread (delicious) just to name some of the great places we went to! Thank you Angel

Angel was an amazing host!! Even though my flight was delayed she was very accommodating and flexible. She took me around the city, explained the history and the culture along with her own experiences which made the tour so unique! I really loved the local cuisine which we tried. She knows the perfect shops to take you shopping! Even the though the Victoria peak was not on the itinerary she was kind enough to accommodate it for me! Overall I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Angel as a host to anyone visiting Hong Kong :)

Average at best. Basically marking it to three food stands in Mongkok for 100$ per person, way overpriced. Would have loved to try more different things rather than “what do u want” with some more deeper insides. Temple street was not busted either. Looked like a quick exit in the end. Cannot recommend.

Stay away. I made an online reservation for a private tour. Two days before the tour the Company charged my credit card for the cost of the tour (48 hours before the tour is its policy to charge the fee). The very next day, 24 hours before the tour, it cancelled as it stated its only tour guide could not provide the tour due to personal reasons. The Company offered to provide the tour the following day but our itinerary was already set. I requested a refund and have yet to receive it, nor any communications that it would be refunded.

Awesome tour, the food was delicious and the tour was super interesting. It was noticeable that Angel knew all the best spots to get something yummy to eat. Angel was fun, and easy to be with. Highly recommended. Thanks Angel!

Guide never showed up. Whatsapped me meeting place, I waited an hour and tried calling him repeatedly. Still no explanation and refund requested.
