About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jennifer S0 contributionsFantastic & Fun!Fantastic hosts. Knowledgeable, funny & fun!!! Highly recommended. I enjoyed all the food and did some shopping in the night market. It’s a perfect way to learn about the area and local food culture.Written 11 November 2024
- Resort5518610 contributionsHK Rooftop to the next level😊Such an amazing experience to sit amongst the neon buildings and enjoy a cocktail, Bella brings the energy and the edge to get her guests primo seats for the ultimate view. I will book again to explore 2 more rooftops on my next visit.Written 1 November 2024
- E8960QFbradm0 contributionsNeeds a little work…..The route seemed very random and almost accidental. The guides were very nice and tried to accommodate our wants but would like more stucture and history and stories about the food ( why did we select this sample and more about it). We spent a lot of time in street markets, which was interesting the first 15-20 mins. Then it was the same over and over. Now it is always crowded but we expect that, and I’ve been on tours where the guides make plans with the vendor so he doesn’t just get in line and wait. With more history stories and a plan, it could be better.Written 19 October 2024
- LudaM10 contributionsFood Tour in Hong KongI recently had a food tour in Hong Kong with Emcee, who was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and accommodating. She tailored the tour to suit my dietary needs and preferences and time constraints, ensuring I had a truly personalized experience. The food was delicious, with each stop offering a unique and authentic taste of Hong Kong's culinary scene. What impressed me most was Emcee's expertise in navigating Hong Kong's hidden gems. I would have never discovered these local eateries on my own, which made this tour truly special. If you're a food enthusiast looking to explore Hong Kong's culinary depths, look no further. This tour is a must-do, and I couldn't recommend it more.Written 4 October 2024
- CNFFL0 contributionsHong Kong Food, Transport, and Culture! Wonderful tour!Ronnie and Carrie did a great job! Like roaming the cities with friends. Very casual and informative, with local spice. Our flight landed a bit late, and they were so gracious to be patient with us late in the evening. Ronnie paid for our egg bread, drinks from 7-11, our double decker bus, our ding ding tram, and our Victoria Harbour Ferry. We had such a great time covering much of the city with them, and felt quite comfortable and knowledgeable about the city in no time! Thank you :)Written 19 September 2024
- AskoM0 contributionsGreat day in Hong KongTaking a food tour with Cosmo was fantastic thanks to his local knowledge and tips. Even though I had visited Hong Kong before, I discovered new areas that I wouldn't have found on my own. The visits to local restaurants were spot on, as I never would have found these hidden gems that only locals know about. The tour was also very informative about the history and culture. I highly recommend a tour with Cosmo.Written 3 August 2024
- barbaradF8362WS0 contributionsHong Kong HighlightThe three hours we spent exploring the streets with Angel was the highlight of our trip to Hong Kong. She is a highly knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour and she taliored the tour to our group of four adults and two teenagers perfectly. Without Angel we wouldn't have experienced the incredible dim sum and noodle shops, ventured into a temple, found milk tea or pineapple buns and we certainly wouldn't have learned so much about Hong Kong's history. The tour far exceeded our expectations and we'd highly recopmmend Angel to everyone. Thank you Angel we can't wait to see you again next time!Written 12 July 2024
- georgeg450 contributionsMore than the foodAngel is a lovely person and her tour was fantastic, giving us a deep insight into not only the food but a wide sense of the culture and history of the city.Written 10 July 2024
- Rmedway0 contributionsGreat private food tourWe had a lovely day with Matteo. He took us to places, as tourists, that we would never had gone to and the food was fantastic! Matteo was very knowledge, entertaining and went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable day. I would totally recommend the experience!Written 22 May 2024
- khunk20230 contributionsFUN FUN FUNIzabella didn't just show us rooftops and markets; she practically turned them into a circus! She was as flexible as a contortionist, bending the program to our every whim. And let's talk about crazy—she's the good kind of crazy, like a mad scientist mixing up the perfect adventure potion. If you want a guide who'll take your tour to new heights (literally) while keeping you laughing, Izabella's your gal. Highly recommended for an experience that's more fun than a barrel of monkeys! 🐒Written 11 May 2024
- ymgur0 contributionsFood tour with a few extrasMy husband and I enjoyed our evening with Cosmo and experiencing the local food of Hong Kong. It was a little different than I expected as Hong Kong does not do street food as we had experienced in other cities like Bangkok or Singapore. Instead, Cosmo took us to several local restaurants where we experienced food as the locals would eat. Don't let his initial quiet demeanour fool you, he is a very interesting and talented guy who has adventurously travelled the world solo. It was interesting to learn about his family and see some of his art work. He also told us about the history of the Hong Kong as we travelled around (and took the tram) and it was great to have him talk about the street art as well. A very good evening and highly recommended.Written 25 March 2024
- kallen06370 contributionsExcellent Tastings Tour in Hong Kong with Emcee! We booked the tastings and night markets tour with Emcee, and were thrilled that we did. Emcee was very flexible with our limited time in Hong Kong, and gave us a great overview of a number of different food spots we never would have found on our own. She also provided us with a number of great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Hong Kong. We cannot recommend Emcee enough!Written 22 March 2024
- Momrojas10 contributionsDon’t use this tour! When we called to find out where our guide was he said that our call had just woken him up! It was a 6 pm food tour! I texted him later for a confirmation of the canceled tour, he said that we canceled on him. This guy is crazy! Looking back on other comments, I see that he has done this before. He should not be allowed to offer tours with Trip Advisor. Ruined our last night in Hong KongWritten 21 March 2024
- clonms0 contributionsGood food and attractions tour of Hong Kong.Em was a fantastic guide, the information and structure of the tour was prefect. We have done several food tours around the world and this one was amongst the best due to Em's energy. Would recommend.Written 15 March 2024
- Jeff J0 contributions10 Tastings with EmEm did a fantastic job of leading us all around her area. She was careful about our safety while crossing busy streets. We sampled many different traditional foods and she educated us about etiquette which is invaluable. We very much enjoyed her sweet personality and photography skills, she took fun and candid pictures of us throughout the tour. Highly recommend touring with Em!Written 15 March 2024

We met Armie in the China Town area, he walked us through and informed
us about the culture and how it developed as migrants came over from
China. He took us to the main highlights of the city, and we got to
try some of his favorite street food. Armie was really helpful and a
great insight I to the city and culture

I recently took a solo tour of Hong Kong with Sum and Carey, and from the moment they picked me up at my hotel, I knew I was in for something special. Despite travelling alone, they made me feel completely at ease and crafted an experience that was personalized, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable.
We began the day by crossing Victoria Harbour on an old ferry, a simple but meaningful experience that set the tone for the rest of the tour. There was something magical about feeling the gentle sway of the water and taking in the iconic skyline from the ferry, which gave me a unique perspective of Hong Kong. Sum and Carey shared stories and history about the harbour and the ferry itself, making the journey feel like a step back in time.
From there, we explored more of the city, including Victoria Peak, where I was blown away by the panoramic views. Carey knew exactly where to take me for the best photos, ensuring I could capture the stunning Cityscape. But it wasn’t just about the sights, it was about the connection. Sum and Carey brought Hong Kong’s history and culture to life in such a warm and engaging way, sharing insights that I never would have found on my own.
One of the highlights was our stop at a local eatery for some local food. They introduced me to some amazing dishes, and I felt like I was truly experiencing Hong Kong’s culinary scene like a local. It was a small but meaningful touch that added so much to the tour.
What made this tour stand out, aside from the sights, was the genuine care and attention Sum and Carey showed me. They didn’t just guide me—they made sure I was comfortable, tailored the experience to my interests, and answered every question I had with enthusiasm. By the end of the day, I didn’t feel like just another tourist; I felt like I had made a real connection with the city and the people.
If you’re ever in Hong Kong and want to experience the city in a way that feels personal and enriching, I can’t recommend Sum and Carey enough. This tour wasn’t just about seeing the sights, it was about truly experiencing Hong Kong, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

Wing Wing, our fantastic tour guide, took us on an incredible walking tour of Hong Kong. We saw everything from ancient temples to modern skyscrapers, and learned so many interesting facts along the way.
Wing Wing knows everything about Hong Kong. She showed us hidden gems, as well as the Instagram hit spots and recommended delicious local food, and even told us about her mother and her old sayings and beliefs.
We visited an ancient temple, a fascinating souvenir shop, walked through markets, and got to experience the city's vibrant culture first-hand.
The walking tour was pretty tiring, but it was totally worth it. Wing Wing's enthusiasm was contagious, and she made the whole experience so much fun. If you're planning a trip to Hong Kong, I highly recommend booking a tour with Wing Wing. She's the best!

A great tour with Sum Pui showing us the hidden sights of Hong Kong. Very knowledgeable and there was not a question he could not answer. For two first time visitors to Hong Kong, it was really useful and we learned a lot. Sum Pui even took the trouble to recommend restaurants and give us ideas for how to spend the rest of our time in the city. Thank you!

Angel was an amazing host!! Even though my flight was delayed she was very accommodating and flexible. She took me around the city, explained the history and the culture along with her own experiences which made the tour so unique! I really loved the local cuisine which we tried. She knows the perfect shops to take you shopping! Even the though the Victoria peak was not on the itinerary she was kind enough to accommodate it for me! Overall I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Angel as a host to anyone visiting Hong Kong :)

Samuel showed me a facet of HK that I would not have been to find myself. His deep local knowledge and unique stories of the city was very enlightening and we covered a lot of ground through the little streets that he expertly navigated. Very enjoyable tour and such an advantage to experience a diverse and authentic side of exciting HK.

My husband and I are very happy to recommend Wing Wing to anyone visiting Hong Kong. She shared so many personal stories and memories of growing up in the area as well as historical information that it made the city come to life. There’s nothing like a personal tour!

We were a group of 4 and signed up for the Off The Beaten Track Kowloon tour through Withlocals. We were happy we did as you got to see real life Hong Kong versus the big city glitz of HK Island. Angel was our guide and did a fabulous job taking us around and providing historical commentary on all the relevant sites. We toured the markets, housing areas, a local museum, etc. About 2.5 hours in total. Just the right amount of time. Great job!!!

Cosmo was able to show us around Aberdeen, Rupulse Bay, and Stanley, which are outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. We learned a bit about life as a fisherman and experienced a local wet market and Dim Sum Lunch. We were able to walk along the beach, despite the rain, and visit the Stanley Market where we bought a few paintings to remember our trip. The area was beautiful and we wished we had enough time to return and take a swim at the beautiful beach!
