We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of the goldfish , flower and bird markets as well as examples of typical homes of the poorer families. Armie was interesting and very knowledgeable. We saw parts of Kowloon that we wouldn’t have visited without a guide to show us around.

Super informative three hour tour that changed my view on the city life. The very well informed tour guid gave us insights in the real-life of Hong Kongers and had answers for all of our (many) questions.
I would not hesitate to participate again:)

My wife and I were amazed by the insight provided by Terry about the housing struggles of locals. We were planning on going to Dragon's Back that day then we changed plans last minute. Totally worth it.

Both the food tour and Kowloon walking tour were fantastic and so much fun. I would have done another one if I had time. Michael was incredible! This truly made my visit to Hong Kong a lot better. And I got to meet some fellow travellers along the way

Informative tour with a focus on what it is like for a normal person on a normal wage living in Hong Kong. Terry is a local and was happy to answer all our questions (even some more direct ones) honestly and without getting offended which is nice.

We were guided by Terry which did a great job of giving us a closer look at the conditions and a background to the lives of the regular people of Hong Kong. Very interesting and informative tour that really gives you an insight into the challenges of HK life. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience more than the usual tourist stuff.

We were guided by Armie, a local with plenty of knowledge on the current political, economic and social aspects of Hong Kong.
It's easy to look at HK as a thriving city, but at what cost?
We saw the flower market, bird market and fish market. All full of locals with few westerners walking around.
We then went to see examples of the housing that the poorer sections of HK society have to live in as it's so expensive to buy/rent.
Some of the examples are upsetting but necessary to see for a fuller understanding of how locals must live (rather than the mostly ex-pat communities)
Go on the tour, you might come out a different / better person.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Michael. Definitely an important aspect of HK not often available for foreigners to see. A must if you have time. It is an excellent tour.

Armie took about 20 of us on this tour around some different areas to the usual tourist spots. He was interesting, knowledgeable and thought provoking, showing us the real side of life for people living in Hong Kong. This can mean paying massive rents for a tiny shop in busy Mong Kok to living cramped in sub- divided apartments costing more than people earn in a month. I will remember this tour for it’s fascinating insights into the “dark” side and highly recommend it to anyone as a brilliant way to spend 3 hours here.

It was a nice tour, little bit too long (3 hours) maybe skip the bird market and tea shop as it had no added value. Guide was good. However he started the tour by telling we had to tip him in the end as it was a free tour but we already paid via Tripadvisor around 250 hkd. Not sure who we paid the 250 hkd? We didnt tip the guide because of this. Hopefully he did receive the money tho. Otherwize please contact tripadvisor to fix this.
