Fabulous Peaks to Pier Tour of Hong Kong
My husband, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and I had an amazing day out with Amy, who took us on a guided tour of Hong Kong and Kowloon. . Amy is super knowledgable about Hong Kong and its history so the tour was both fun and really informative - the temples, new and old buildings, escalators to the Peak (the views are amazing) and Dim Sum lunch at a traditional Hong Kong restaurant (Maxim’s Palace at City Hall) were all great experiences. It was such a shame that we didn’t have longer to explore. Maybe next time 😊 We can’t thank Amy or Hong Kong Greeters enough. I would highly recommend the company to anyone who wants to get to know Hong Kong city.

Saver of my trip in Hong Kong
I had booked a tour with a different HK (Hong Kong) tour agent on Expedia.com. Their tour guide did not show up. It was a complete mess and my stay in HK was just one afternoon and a night. I rushed to call several local tour agents. Only “Hong Kong Greeters” picked up my call and responded immediately. Within an hour, William at “Hong Kong Greeters” arrived my hotel and rescued my trip plan. He is most knowledgeable with life experience in HK. He is an educator and a retired professor. With his help, from late afternoon and late night, I had gone through the most popular visiting spots and learned the HK past, present and the future developments. I would strongly recommend their services to anyone I know.

    Highly Recommended!
Absolutely amazing and memorable experience! Our tour started off with a peacefull stroll through Nan Lian Garden. The place exudes beauty and tranquility. This was followed by an incredibly satisfying vegetarian/vegan lunch in Tai Po. My folks who can be quite particular about their food choices were delighted with the options available at Green Hub. However, what set this tour apart was not just the places we went to but our guide, Amy. Its a no brainer that shes a HK culture buff and is dedicated to ensuring that you have an exceptional experience. She even went out of her way and took us to Mirs bay so we could get a peek of the mainland from HK. If you have a couple of hours to spare and are looking for an enjoyable family outing, this tour is a must try. Thank you HK Greeters and Amy!

    Please ask for Angel.
Angel was the absolute best tour guide I’ve ever had in my many years of travel! And I have been all over the world. Let’s begin at the beginning. The Hing Kong Cruise Terminal is huge and busy, and can be intimidating, so Angel sent me a photograph of the van, where it was located, and how to find it on the second level. As we stepped off the elevator, there she was waiting for us. From that moment, all my group did, was to place ourselves in her capable hands and follow her leadership. We had the most fantastic day. Angel clearly loves her country and her work. She easily guided us all over Hing Kong. I cannot remember everywhere we went or all that we did, but I I know that we visited all the consequential sites. She did not rush us when we wanted to linger, but she managed the schedule as only a pro could. There were six of us in the group and some of us are photo addicts who wanted their own photos taken by their phones. Angel took thousands of photos of us (a little exaggeration thrown in of course), and she enjoyed it. She also took selfies with us, and at the end of the day surprised us over eighty pictures that she had taken with her own phone. Angel was knowledgeable, and she shared lots of information, but never too much that we got tired of listening to her. Oh, I should add that her English was flawless, and there was never a time that any of us had to ask, “What did you say?” If Hong Kong is ever in your travel plans PLEASE ask for Angel. You will not regret it. And she is not paying me for this advertisement. It’s coming from my unwavering conviction that ANGEL IS THE BEST!!

    Amazing Whirlwind Tour
We only had 15 hours to spend in Hong Kong on a stopover. We were so happy we booked Amy as our guide! We saw so much of Hong Kong and she kept it fun and interesting. She was a pleasure to hang out with for the day. Her English is perfect and she has a great personality. Loved that she sent us a list and marked all the places we visited on Google maps! Highlights include going on The Peak Tram and going for a breathtaking hike above the city. The view was amazing! Dim sum lunch with the locals was also so good! She was very knowledgeable and shared great stories. Would definitely recommend her!

    Superb, would highly recommend!!
We did the veggie food tour last week and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Amy is a really knowledgeable guide and is very friendly and easy to get along with. She creates a relaxed environment and is very flexible to allow the tour to move at your own pace. She has lots of recommendations but again gives options so you can tailor the experience to your own needs. This is the second tour we have done with her and both have been excellent. Would highly recommend!!

The Best Way to Tour Hong Kong
My daughter Jennifer and I toured with Amy and it was an incredible and fun day. It was our first day and it was a wonderful introduction to the sights and mysteries of Hong Kong! She has lots of energy and a great sense of humor, which charmed my daughter. We had sent her places we wanted to include in advance, then she suggested others to add in which really enhanced the day. This was truly a customized tour. She was such a good sport too, she went with us to this weird Rabbit Cafe my daughter wanted to visit. I highly recommend booking a half or full day with Amy. Hong Kong can be overwhelming, so this is the best way to see this unique city.

    Vegetarian & Food Cultural Tour
We found our guides Amy and Zoe very friendly and smiley. Nice that Amy is a local expat so can resonate with fellow expats...great that she is mentoring Zoe, a native Hong Konger with a real connection to the Wong Tai Sin Temple who could give her own personal account of her own experiences, like her mothers wedding... needing a separate wok for vegan for vegan food. It made it seem very real. Both were very flexible & accommodating..me showing an interest in going inside the temple while my friends carried on to get ready for lunch was really appreciated. It meant a lot to me as I know it wasn’t specifically on their list of things to do with us... and of course Zoe knows all about it as it is her temple. The traditional Nan Lian Gardens surrounding the temple are magnificent and well worth the stroll as is the Kowloon Walled City Park. It won’t disappoint. Here you’ll find preserved artefacts in the once infamous enclave controlled by the Triads. We throughly enjoyed our day with Amy and Zoe. We are looking forward to another adventure with them .

    Tai O
In a quest to explore more of our home we had no hesitation in signing up for our 2nd tour with Amy. This time we headed to Tai O. Once again Amy, being the great guide she is, made it a fabulous day out. We toured Tai O village on foot and by boat, got a taste of the local snacks, had lunch in a stilt cafe (main restaurant was closed due to covid) and ended the day with a swim in the waterfall/rock pool before heading home. I'd also highly recommend this tour.

    Tai O - Excellent day
Our family of four - children aged 11 and 12 - went on the Tai O excursion, including swimming in a waterfall and rockpool. Our guide was Stephen, and he couldn't have been better informed or more organised .. to the extent of demonstrating to our children which route to take up the rocks to jump off into the pool. We've been in HK nearly six years and wouldn't have been able to organise this day ourselves - so great for long term HKers, or for visitors.

Hong Kong with Amy is the Only Way to Go!
Amy's tour was one of the highlights of our cruise. She made a day in Hong Kong into a great experience for 6 of us. It was a holiday and a difficult one due to some closings and changes, but she was versatile, picked the perfect times to see things, and was very responsive to the different needs of our group. We especially loved the dim sum restaurant she picked for lunch and she steered us to the BEST peking duck ever! Having her car made everything so much easier, plus pick up and delivery to the port. Highly recommended, and of course, no trouble at all with her English. You can't do better.

Amy and I began our day out at the Ngong. Ping cable car which afforded us fabulous views over the islands and mountainous terrain with Amy pointing out places of interest including the new Macau Road tunnel. We then made our way leisurely through the Ngong Ping village, browsing in the shops and visiting the temples. Amy was very knowledgeable about these wonderful buildings and told me about the history of the figures and decorations. We then went to the big Buddha which sadly we couldn’t climb up to because the steps were being renovated. We then took a bus down the mountain,to the Tai`O fishing village. This is like a step back in time and is a delightful and picturesque place to visit with quaint, narrow streets full of stalls and little shops where everyone seemed to know Amy. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in a small café overlooking the river that I would never have found, but Amy knew the owner and we were royally treated. Amy is a very friendly tour guide who is informative and makes everything interesting for you. I can’t recommend her highly enough as you will enjoy a fabulous time with this lady!

We only had two full days in Hong Kong and had never visited before so we decided that we needed a pro to make sure we made the most of our short time. We could not have been more delighted with Amy.

Amy is extraordinarily knowledgeable. We had so many questions and she could answer them all. More importantly, our questions turned into conversations about the history, culture, religion and life of Hong Kong. Amy had wonderful ideas about where to go and how to get there so we experienced many aspects of Hong Kong. Even though Amy clearly had a plan, she was very flexible and adapted easily to our interests and preferred pace. There was no canned pitch yet every minute seemed to be packed with information and new experiences. And, above all, Amy was fun to be with.

So, if you are looking for a great guide who knows Hong Kong and has great ideas about how to experience it while providing you with the kind of experience you want, reflecting your priorities, you will do well if you choose Amy. (I've already recommended her to friends visiting Hong Kong soon.)

My husband, 9 year old daughter and I have just returned from 10 days in Hong Kong! We have never been there before and wanted to make the most of our trip and see and learn as much as possible about this amazing place!

We decided for some of the main attractions we would like to have a guide with us not only for the language barrier but also to get to see a different view of a local that tourists often don't see. We were not disappointed with Hong Kong Greeters!!! We preferred to have a guide to ourselves rather than share with other people as we knew it could be done at our pace particularly helpful for my daughter.

I dealt with Amy to begin with who was very fast in responding and really helpful in explaining what they can offer and we decided we would have 2 tours, one for 5 hours and 7 hours which covered many different locations. We paid via paypal and everything was confirmed including details for the guide to meet us at our hotel almost immediately.

Our first tour was with Nadia, she was really friendly and especially good with our daughter which instantly put us all at ease. Her knowledge of Hong Kong was amazing and our day was filled with not only fabulous sights but also packed with really interesting facts too! We did a lot of walking but Nadia was very careful to always check we were okay or if we needed to have a break etc. The jump the lines pass she has for attractions were worth their weight in gold as queues for the Peak Tram were over 2.5hrs long and we literally walked straight to the front of the line and boarded the Tram!

Our second tour was with Jamie and we all instantly hit it off with him too, he took us out to see the houses on stilts at Taio and we were unbelievably lucky to observe the rare pink dolphins jumping and playing at the side of our boat. This set the tone for what turned out to be an awesome day! Again we learned loads from Jamie, his knowledge although being English having lived in Hong Kong for over 40 years for second to none and we got to experience loads of things that we'll always remember. Jamie was brilliant with our daughter and had a great sense of humor, our day passed quickly and we didn't stop laughing and talking like Jamie was an old friend!

In all honesty we were a bit nervous beforehand if we would gel with the guides as there's nothing worse if you cant be yourselves because you aren't comfortable with someone who you will be with for a full day but we needn't have worried at all they were both absolutely brilliant!

I really cannot recommend Amy and her team enough they really do offer 5* service and I will always pass her details on to our family and friends should they visit Hong Kong. We had an amazing holiday which was made all the richer for the memories we made while with Nadia and Jamie so if you are thinking of using a tour guide look no further as these are the experts and the company you can totally trust especially if like us you are travelling with children.

Amy is amazing!!! My family and I only had 2 full days in Hong Kong so we had to choose our excursions wisely and with the right tour guide. And so we did...We couldn't have been happier with Amy and our excursions to Lantau Island (to see the Big Buddha himself) and to Tai O, a cute little Fishing Village. She was very knowledgeable and confidantly answered all the questions we had. She was also amazing with our 2 boys, who are 6 & 8. They even told me that the tour with Amy was their favorite among the 3 tours we had in HK (with 2 other tour guides). Amy also gave us tips on where to go on our upcoming trip to the UK since she's originally from there. She was so helpful and so kind. Thank you Amy!

My wife and I had 3 wonderful days with Amy and Nadia. We contacted Amy several months prior to our vacation to create custom tours. We had high expectations and they were met. Amy and Nadia are delightful, knowledgeable and flexible. We felt their main concern was making sure we had a wonderful experience...we did.

I communicated by email from the beginning and was happy with prompt responses and clear information.

Being there for only a layover (~5 hours) I was thinking there wouldn't be enough time to do much but I was wrong. It was better than I expected--I knew the plans ahead of time but actually going to the locations in city with her as a guide made it so much better. She was fun, bright and very knowledgeable about past and recent history. I learned a lot:-)

With her guidance, there was no time wasting--very important for getting to do as much as possible.

In summary, I had a great experience and recommend these guides/company for others.

Our family of 5 traveled to Hong Kong in early June. We have three teens and wanted to make sure we hit all of the cultural sights, but still made the trip fun! Enter Amy! We first booked the guided tour to Lantau Island, but also booked an additional day in Kalwoon with food tastings. I can truly say that Amy made our holiday exceptional! Communication beforehand and once we landed was excellent and I felt she really paid attention to our wants and desires and personally tailored the trip for our family. The teens were thoroughly entertained and impressed while we also learned quite a bit about the culture and historical sights. Amy took us off the beat and path to some places we would have NEVER seen without her guidance. We were able to indulge in once in a lifetime experiences with her expert assistance! Amy handled every part of our trip with professional ease and always with a smile! We enjoyed her insight and perspective and felt she really tailor made the trip for us! She even gave us tips and suggestions for our additional days which worked out beautifully. I could not recommend Hong Kong greeters enough - I think the experience we all had has made this trip one of our favorites as a family!

After spending the previous day with Amy exploring Kowloon we opted to spend our final day in Hong Kong on Lantau Island. One of the highlights of our trip, we saw many things we had never seen before, like pink dolphins, an amazing traditional fishing village, free range cows, the big buddha and beautiful monastery and Taoist temple. Amy was as enthusiastic as she was the day before and excited to share with us the sites of Lantau Island and her knowledge of the traditional fishing culture and other unique things to see on the island. It was a very busy day which is what we like, we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to Amy and her team for a wonderful three day visit to Hong Kong!

On my recent Hong Kong business trip, I had one day to spend seeing the region. I located Hong Kong Greeters, and selected the Lantau Island private tour. My guide was Amy, and from the moment she picked me up at my hotel, I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. Not only were the sites wonderful and it was great to get out of the busy city, but I felt like I was traveling with a well informed friend. She anticipated my level of interest on topics and provided excellent knowledge and answered all my questions. She didn't rush through any activities; I felt like she was enjoying the day as much as me. She encouraged me to try some local food and seemed to know the local shopkeepers. I loved seeing the Po Lin Monastery and Big Buddha and especially visiting the authentic Tai O fishing village. I cannot recommend Amy enough! You will not be disappointed!

Excellent day - I booked a 6 hour tour after discussing with Amy via email the best way a group of 4 of us could spend the day after disembarking from our cruise ship but our flight was not until late evening. She suggested a day exploring Lantau Island they would collect us from the port and after the tour take us to the airport.
Communication was excellent between Amy and myself prior to the tour and she made me feel very confident that everything would run smoothly and it did. Our guide for the day was Nadia who was on time collecting us - we were unsure that Ken the driver would fit 6 suitcases plus the 4 of us and Nadia in the car but he is an expert and there was plenty of room for all.
We visited Ngong Ping village by car because the cable car was out of action but this was fine - Nadia filled us in with so much information and the drive was lovely
We climbed the 268 steps to the Buddha took fabulous photos and Nadia knows the best spots
We then drove to Tai O village took a boat ride to see the stilt houses and saw a Chinese white dolphin how lucky were we!,Lunch at the old police station now a hotel and walked back to the car then ken and Nadia took us to the airport We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend them and if we ever visited Hong Kong again would organise another trip with them - great fun and in a small group of 4 we felt we gained so much more.
