      a passionate guide tour
It was a passionate guide tour. I was impressed by Alex's kind and diverse explanation. I highly recommend it to others. The guide tour did not appear on the Korean homepage, so I used the English homepage. So I became the first Korean tour applicant.

      Awesome Foodie Experience
The best way to try street food and understand more about the Cantonese culture. Our guide Alex was amazing and felt like we were leaving a long lost friend at the end of the tour!

Fabulous Tour, amazing food, Alex was great
Alex with our host and he was very kind to share his passion for food, culture, and history with us. It was so awesome to explore a new part of Hong Kong, with someone who is so knowledgeable and able to explain life in Hong Kong. The food was outstanding. Authentic street food that was so tasty and I would’ve never have thought to try and find myself. I loved it

Best Food Tour you can have in Hong Kong
My family wanted to try out the food tour and we picked Hello Hong Kong Tours. We had Sinclair as the guide and turned into a private tour for us. Sinclair was amazing with his details about Hong Kong culture, history, restaurants we visited and more. had a great time. The food we had was very fresh and places had the old history and welcomeness. Highly recommend this tour and Sinclair is one of the very good guides!!

      Highlight of Hong Kong visit
I was given this tour as a gift from my children and it was one of the best gifts ever!!! Alex could not have been a better guide and learning and exploring the neighborhoods and tasting the local foods was beyond all expectations. I am not a tofu fan but silky tofu is amazing. Also the tour was supposed to be for 4 people but apparently a couple cancelled at the last minute, but rather than canceling the tour , Alex did the tour for just the two of us. This speaks volumes about his integrity and professionalism

Excellent tour, poor communication on start time change.
Mel, our guide, was very good. But there was a problem since all my documentation said the start time was 4:15pm and we lost the first 30 minutes of the tour since we were not alerted to the change in time to 3:45pm.

Wonderful and informative personalised walking tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip around Hong Kong with our lovely guide Sinclair. Sinclair listened to what we wanted to get out of our day and the day could not have gone better. We took the bus to Victoria Peak where the views were spectacular and also the water ferry at Aberdeen was a highlight as was watching how they sold the fish. The information and interesting facts we learned about and saw at Hong Kong were so informative. The restaurant Sinclair took us for lunch was very enjoyable and it was nice to eat like the locals and the quality of the food was excellent. We had a great time at the flower market where the orchids and selection of flowers were so beautiful. I loved my buys at the ladies market and also looking at the goldfish and pets too(I wish I could have took the flowers and pets home with me😊). We enjoyed our trip on the star ferry too. Our day was also made more special by the time and care Sinclair took taking photos of us throughout the day and the natural photos were lovely too. We started our tour with a guide but ended our day with a friend. Thank you so much Sinclair for making our day so personal and special and memories we won’t forget. We highly recommend Sinclair for your guide as you will not be disappointed .

      Food tour with Sinclair
Our food tour with Sinclair was the highlight of our few days in Hong Kong! His organization and communication with us prior to the actual tour put us at ease in a country that we do not know the language. Sinclair was a terrific guide, clearly knowledgeable about the best places to try the local food while touring the area. Highly recommend Sinclair as a guide, especially for the food tasting tour!

      Lantau Island Tour
In early April 2024, my wife and I joined Mel for a wonderful tour of Lantau Island. The tour itself surpassed my expectations, which were already high. We started our day riding the stunning Ngong Ping 360 cable car to the beautiful Big Buhdda and Po Lin Monastery, and we ended in the picturesque Tai O fishing village. Our guide Mel was delightful, friendly and very knowledgeable. He seems to truly enjoy his work, and he has even made friends with many of the villagers. He is the type of person who makes you feel as if you are touring with a good friend rather than with a hired guide. Five Stars ... without question!

      Great food tour experience at
The tour guide was superb — provided a great overview of not only history of local culture but took us to her favorite restaurants where we were treated very well. The guide shared a lot about the culture including how locals live. It was a great experience. Just the right amount of food— didn’t feel stuffed like on some other food tours. Although I am not a vegetarian— I appreciated those options.

The tour with Alex was wonderful. It was a great way to see parts of HK that are not typically tourist destinations, especially the local street establishments. Alex did a great job of explaining to us the living situation of locals in HK and let us understand the history of HK everywhere we went. Would definitely recommend this tour to those new and old to HK! Awesome food too!

We live in Hong Kong but decided to do this tour not being able to travel over summer due to COVID. It was great to be a tourist in our own city. Mel was a fantastic guide and explained so much that we didn’t know about the city. We also tried some delicious food spots we wouldn’t have found otherwise. Highly recommended - I’ve already suggested this to a number of friends also living in Hong Kong.

Excellent food and cultural tour I would highly recommend. Mel was very knowledgeable about the food and history of the area. Having lived previously in HK I learned a lot of new information. The food was good and Mel was great company and easy to get along with. We booked directly with the company and communication with Mel was easy. The light show at the end was a great end to the tour. Thank you for a great experience.

Alex provided an excellent and comprehensive tour covering not only food but the history and culture of Hong Kong. No one left the tour hungry! We tried traditional and novel foods like stinky tofu. Alex made a great effort to accommodate dietary restrictions as well.

We took a private night tour with Nicole as our guide. It was a mixture of exploring Kowloon with a food tour. The entire night was fantastic. We learned about the other side of Hong Kong, not the glitzy roads full of the Hermes, Cartier.... We learned about about how and where the rest of Hong Kong lives, as well as the history of the area in an engaging way.

The best part, however. was the phenomenal food we ate, particularly dinner. We ate at a local restaurant, not a tourist trap. Nicole helped us order and the food was incredible and was a great way to learn Cantonese cuisine.

We still saw a bit of the "sights," like the lights on the Harbor, but the vast majority was the real Hong Kong, which we never would have seen because we didn't know the language and we didn't know where to go (those guidebooks skip what we saw).

We cannot say enough good things about Nicole -- enthusiastic, full of energy, knows her stuff, and the best, she is passionate about food -- a FANTASTIC guide. In fact, after the tour we had a medical emergency at night and ignorant of Hong Kong we texted Nicole late at night for help understanding how to get to a hospital and she answered right away and sent us in the right direction without hesitation, an incredible act of kindness. She also followed-up to make sure everything was OK.

We cannot recommend Hello Hong Kong enough to make your trip to Hong Kong special.

I was originally booked to do a small group night food tour, but unfortunately there were not enough people on the tour for it to go ahead, and I because I only had a day and a half in Hong Kong I couldn't reschedule. I was very disappointed but was offered alternatives including a private tour for the same night. It was a lot more expensive but I figured I might as well make the most of my time in Hong Kong and I really wanted to try some of the local food, and I definitely have no regrets!!

My guide was Amy who met me in the lobby of my hotel. Amy was very friendly and easy to chat to, and an excellent guide. It was my first time in Hong Kong so as well as taking me to lots of different local food places she also gave me a bit of a guided tour as well. She was very flexible with what we did, I could basically make the tour whatever I wanted it to be! She took me to try snake soup, some local desserts, spicy fishballs, and also went to see the wet market (I didn't last very long in there!). So many awesome things! I really loved how we visited some places that were the poorer parts of Hong Kong which you would never know to visit if you weren't on a tour. I also love how all these little places you just sit down at a table with the locals, I had a nice chat with a little old lady in the snake soup place who was telling me about the benefits of eating snake soup. Such an amazing authentic experience!

I thought it might be a bit weird doing a private tour when it was just me by myself, but Amy didn't make me feel like it was awkward at all. I would definitely recommend doing a food tour with these guys, you really get a much better experience than trying to find these things yourself! I would actually do the same tour again if I come back :)

I had an absolute ball of a time (5 hours) with Mel who introduced me to Kowloon and it’s treasures. Was expecting a standard agenda of being taken to some of the well known markets (which we did visit), but instead was treated to a tailor made journey based on my interests in HK films and tv, people and culture, and of course Cantonese food ... We meandered through markets but also backstreets and council housing to discuss the different tiers of living standards in the city. I had a plethora of questions ranging from the serious to popular culture, and Mel was always able to answer with insight, and would even make side trips to help explain. Yet I have to especially commend Mel for taking me to a couple of DVD stores to help me find rare movies, and even weighed in with translation with the store owners! Did not expect this at all. Overall it felt like an outing with a good friend rather than an organised tour. Would do this again in a heartbeat!

Took this tour as a solo private tour and enjoyed it a lot. Ryan, my guide was very knowlegable and a born and raised Hong Konger. He told about many different aspects of living in Hong Kong back in the days and also recently. The tour includes some walking, and throughout he provided drinks and snacks that kept me going. It is really a great way to get a feel for this part of the city and understand the dynamics and whats going on. Thank you Ryan!

Our Hong Kong Night Tour with Mel was a great success. He showed us things we would never have discovered on our own and brought the history of Kowloon to life for us. Great tour, great tour guide, what more can I say.
