It’s a great attraction and the cable car is something else with amazing views. Great to see the big bhudda on the island as well as the monastery. Only down side for me was the queues. It was at least 2 hours and unfortunately for me it coincided with some Chinese holiday making it very very busy.

Starting the adventure with a trip on the MTR which was quick, easy and very efficient, the day simply got better and better. The cable car trip is the longest I have ever travelled on. The views are spectacular and it is inspiring to watch the large number of people who choose to walk the entire distance following a path below. When the Big Buddha comes in to view, words could not describe the feelings I had. Much bigger than I ever imagined, the structure is immense and just takes your breath away. I am seriously waxing a little lyrical but I found it very humbling. I know little about the culture of customs but the trip was incredibly informative and engaging. The village itself is beautiful and exploring the entire site was a total privilege for me. There is something quite moving about travelling up through the cloud level to reach your destination. Would I do it again? Absolutely...and I did yesterday.

It made for a half-day excursion, but enjoyed every moment of it. Started with a 25 minute cable car (we opted for the crystal bottom floor which is for thrillseekers ) that overlooked Landau island (so pretty). The cable cars were steady and did not even rock in the wind (that's good as I have been on those that have). Upon arrival, we had a short trek to the Big Buddha which was reasonable in distance. The stairs were not bad, however, if you have NO excercise regimen you WILL find it challenging. Once we reached the top, we were able to see some additional views of Landau worth snapshotting. As you depart, there are nice souvenir shops to do some last minute purchasing. We also opted to have a quick bite at the one of several food shoppes and was pleasantly surprised by what we ate. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!

The difference between crystal cabin and standard cabin is minimal. Better to take one way cabin and take the bus on the way down.
No queues for pregnant ladies. The staff would shamelessly ask them to buy more expensive tickets to shorten the waiting time (but still wait) or just stand there for hours.
A tip: come early and leave early as the queue for the cars start to grow after 4pm. The waiting time just increase to an hour on a holiday

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your comment regarding the queuing arrangement and regret to learn about your experience.
In view of high demand of cable car services during the holiday season, we have deployed extra staff and additional counters to facilitate ticket redemption and guest flow. The queuing arrangement at pre-boarding area would be assigned in accordance to the cabin type. Your kind understanding of this is highly appreciated.
We understand the queuing time affected your experience and we will be reviewing these arrangements in order to shorten guests’ waiting time during peak periods for the near future as you may understand we have not experienced in a long time due to the pandemic.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your feedback. Your feedback is essential for us to strive for service excellence.

Second - and somebody even says that first - of the most beautiful sightseeing places in Hong Kong. Notwithstanding the lines that you cannot avoid when buying tickets, the cabble car and the views which are waiting for you on your way to Big Buddah are definitely worth seeing!

Hi, Did you finish your trip already? I have just booked this combo for a day but there is no information about how the whole thing works in general, do you just show the printed ticket at the airport and get entry tickets for the cable car and the Buddha? Any help will be appreciated, the tour organisers do not seem to respond to any messages.
Hi, is it possible to do this package in a day. What time does it starts and what time does it ends. Planning to do this on our departure day . Flight is 1850 hrs
