- 522juliaf00Great experience!!Very prompt & caring! A good old fashioned boat with a touch of modern comforts. Great bucket seats to enjoy the views downstairs & daybeds upstairs to relax after a delicious selection of Dim Sum! We must add, just in case that’s a must for you… There is no information on landmarks or sights given on the trip, we were fine with that.
- rachelbB5663OH00Aqua Luna Cruise - Dim Sum CruiseSuch a relaxing thing to do. And the boat is awesome. Excellent music too! - The sailors mentioned that a french DJ supplies their playlist. Gets you out of the hustle & bustle of HK for a bit. If you're vegetarian, let them know 2 days beforehand. Dumplings & Egg tarts were delicious. Sit back & relax.
- Char500500Fabulous atmospheric way to explore the harbour sightsFabulous way to end our trip. The junk was stunning, lit up beautifully and the free drink was a lovely touch. The views all along the harbour were stunning, and the atmosphere just perfect.
- griffwill14700Best in Hong KongVery nice experience, must do if you are visiting Hong Kong. Great way to see the iconic harbour. I would recommend getting a seat up the top, it's really relaxing. Drinks brought to you, sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
- Shelby78900Definitely a must see experienceBeautiful views, you’re able to purchase a drink on board. We topped up for the champagne and my husband got a free beer due to Father’s Day. The symphony of lights is a must see!
- Younes s00Must do if visiting HK - stunning experienceThis is one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life, especially at night time. The lights on the buildings is just epic.
- Sazjak00A very good excursion - and a very good priceWe took the dim sum Sunday boat trip and had a very enjoyable excursion. The food was really delicious; we had pre-ordered vegetarian and it was some of the best veggie dim sum we had on our trip. A good harbour cruise to the east side of Hong Kong island; efficient and personable service, all washed down with a glass of wine. Highly recommended and excellent value.
- xchristinexx00DO NOT BOARD AT CENTRALThere was no signage or any staff present at pier 1. We just followed the queue, which was practically useless as after awhile others came and just cut straight in front. Awful start before even boarding, which could have easily been prevented if there was a staff present. DO NOT BOARD AT CENTRAL, that’s the best advice I’ll have to offer. We were lucky we boarded at Tsim Sha Tsui because we already filled up more than half of the boat’s capacity and all the outdoor seats were already taken up. There were a lot more people waiting to board at Central where seats were already limited and you’re left with the not so uncomfortable ones either too far inside/middle with blocked view or “seats”/blocks without backrest. Standard drinks available. Don’t expect good service. It’s just a take your order and deliver your drink service. View is just meh, unless you like to see buildings after buildings. Ambience was also meh, as ours was obviously a full capacity load and everyone around was noisy. In short: Bad system, or rather a lack of system present marred the already lackluster experience of Aqua Luna. The only saving grace was the delightfully cool breeze that you won’t get on land.
- nestorl90400Beautiful night bay!I like the skyline with a beautiful foggy night. And the complementary drink makes me feel better. In short, the trip is a very calm one.
- AmbLee00Fantastic viewsThis is a special experience to take friends who may be visiting you in Hong Kong. It offers stunning views and really lovely vibes.
- globaltravellerworld00Wonderful relaxing boat trip along the shores of Hong Kong to Aberdeen villageThis trip is although considered as a "tourist" trip - it is by far better than what it sounds like. The boat takes 2 hours going from Central Pier 9 to Aberdeen (old fishing village) and back. The Dim Sum that is served is anything touristic - it is very very good Dim Sum by all standards - so no worry about the "tourist cheat" trap that one often encounters. Here you are really treated very well and well fed "! I highly recommend the tour - it is super relaxing and a real fun drive !
- YourstrulySHK00Kids birthday pirate Halloween partyMy kids were invited for a pirate themed kids birthday party and they simply loved it, well done aqua luna and team
- Kenye5500When Dimsum meets Aqua Luna - Afternoon tea cruise on Victoria HarbourAqua LunaAqua Luna, one of the iconic cruises of Hong Kong, named after the great former pirate "Cheung Po" from the 1800s, is a highly-recommended activity if you happen to be in Hong Kong. The cruise itself takes around 90 minutes, a round trip from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier to Junk Bay. Our afternoon-tea cruise was from 330pm to 5pm, and there is another round of sunset cruise which starts from 530pm. With the soothing weather in November, the cruise itself was rather comfortable. The afternoon tea set is produced by the well-known Dimsum Library; the savory bites and dimsum are up to the standard and even served warm with an open air and windy conditions on the cruise. However, the sweet dessert is not as delicious as the dimsum; well, I can understand that sweet dessert isn't a strong side for Dimsum Library. Would prefer to have all Dimsum on board if possible. Due to the bumpy ride and table setting restrictions, it's a pity we can't have classy New Bone China plates and silverware setup for the afternoon tea; you can't order your usual English tea or coffee (Hot tea is available in a thermal mug to avoid spillage). Enjoy the cruise and the food much, looking forward to more afternoon tea options and experiences offered. #DimsumLibrary #AquaLuna #afternoontea #victoriaharbour #hongkong #pirateship

Positives:
Amazing view and plenty of room to sit and relax. There was one huge bed where guests could lay down, and it would have been good to have that space to lay down, but you can only secure it if you are among the first in line to enter the boat. There is a beverage service with which you can use to order drinks, and a champagne service which is available only if you order it online when reserving.
Negatives:
The champagne was brought very late, probably because the staff had forgotten, so I had to remind the staff. Also, the music was not matching the ambience in my opinion.

Took about 15 minutes of wandering before we found the spot and eventually lined up at the meeting location on the tickets. There was a staff member at the front of the line, but he never came to check us in. I think we could have just walked on for free without having tickets as everyone else didn't seem to have tickets on them or presented any to the staff. The boat looked cool and the ride wasn't too bad, overall a good one!

I was sent on a last minute assignment to Hong Kong for work and decided to treat myself to this nighttime cruise. I also purchased a unlimited drink package. It was nice having beer and wine while watching the light show in Victoria Harbor. The ambience on the boat is great and the views are quite unreal.

Waste of time. “Symphony of lights” was very disappointing. Not enough seating for all passengers. Dropped us off in a different location from where we were picked up which was problematic in terms of getting back to hotel. Take the ferry instead and skip the light show, in my opinion.

My Mum and I turned up early at Pier 9 so were at the front of the queue and excited that we would get a good seat for the symphony of lights show. But when the boat arrived lots of people were already on, we headed to the top deck and the only seats left were in the middle of the boat so if we sat down, we had a view of the back of people's heads. During the light show we had to stand to enjoy it properly. Really they should have reduced price tickets if people want to sit in the middle as it's definitely not the same. Having said that, the boat is very nice, the views are great and you get a glass of wine included. I would recommend but my tip would be sit on the lower deck in the comfy seats for the best views, and embark at the Tsim Sha Tsui side as they seem to board 1st.

Starting with the positives, the view of the Hong Kong skyline from the boat is great and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the light show itself is a bit of a joke. There is supposed to be accompanying music synchronized with the lights, but apparently the boat sound system wasnt working. For the first half of the show everyone was watching in awkward silence and then the music cut in and out with static for the remainder of the show and cruise. Kind of ruined the ambience and experience. Considering the company is charging quite a high price to take the cruise during the light show, a partial refund to the guests and management apology would have been warranted. I would recommend using another company or simply taking the ferry across for the same views at a fraction of the cost.

After all the raving, that folks said - this tour was underwhelming. We set sail at 19:45h, from Kowloon side. I thought, we would get pick of where to sit. But, the boat had come over from Hong Kong Island side, and all (yes, all!) prime seating was taken. I had to sit at the back of the boat. On a seat with no back, which was painful. When moving, it was ok - but once stationary, the smells of diesel were over-powering!! I was on the blue junk, which I believe was Aqua Luna II. Once you get out into Victoria Harbour, the sites were amazing!! At 20h, the Symphony of Lights show starts. The speaker on our junk - was, well, "junk." It kept going out. There were several other boats about, so we could hear some of the music. This tour was not worth the $310HKD!!

We chose this tour to experience Victoria Harbor and the Hong Kong skyline. The boat was reminiscent of classic "Chinese Junks" from movies and lore. Once on board we were treated with blankets and an included refreshing adult beverage. The bustling harbor was navigated expertly; for me the "symphony of lights" was underscored by the overall tour. The skyline: spectacular, the experience remarkable. Give it a shot.

Booking online was a breeze and booking was made for the Symphony of Lights Experience departing from TST.
Finding the departure point was relatively easy, however the signage/meeting point spot could be improved. (Tip #1 - Make sure to get there at least 20 minutes before to get a good spot in line and to "guarantee" a ride on a "red sail" junk boat rather than a "blue and white sail" junk boat).
Boarding the junk was easy with friendly staff willing to help (Tip #2 - Try and get a seat on the top deck with "sleeper seats" for the most comfortable seat).
Once you depart, you take a leisurely trip in the harbor and soon are enjoying the beauty of Hong Kong at night, while sipping on your drink of choice (selection between beer, wine, juice and water).
The Symphony of Lights show soon commenced, however since the junk boat is docked at an angle to the shoreline, you don't get a good view of the light show. Also, after a while during the show, the junk boat changes positions, so you again end up not the best view of the light show. (Tip #3 - You better off watching the Symphony of Lights from dry land - Kowloon promenade offers much better views). Once you're ready to depart the junk boat, the friendly staff are willing to help again.
Overall experiencing a ride on an "old" junk boat was very enjoyable, however the Symphony of Lights from the junk boat is not the greatest. Therefore if you looking to save some cash, you should pick the cruises before or after the Symphony of Lights sailing.

We got on in Central on the Island, so the good seats were already taken by the earlier Kowloon boarders. We were shepparded right up to the front, which in my opinion were the worst seats as the boats front was very high obstructing the view. Still, we could look sideways to see the magnificent skyline on both sides. We were given one glass of wine...it was ok. It was dark. The boat had red lighting aimed at the sails which was beautiful. The buildings were lit up many of which had amazing lighting patterns. After a brief circle, the boat parked facing the Island and remained stagnant whilst the show lasted. The major buildings were pointed out and then we admired the view whilst listening to music. Being in the front our view was not so good. After about half an hour the boat made its way slowly back to Kowloon where passengers disembarked. We were then able to move back and have a comfortable ride back to the Island. It's a quick trip and you do get to see the wonderful fully lit skylines (we were so lucky with a warm, clear, calm night), I felt if the boat moved about a little more, more passengers would have had better views and the music could have been more up tempo. I would recommend the tour.

Hi. I'm trying to book symphony of lights cruise for end of July but it doesn't seem to allow me to do that. It looks like I can only book a month in advance. Does anyone know if that's correct x

I am trying to book this for November, but it looks like its not available until March 2019. That's a bit odd, is it really sold out?
Hi, I literally just booked tickets for mid-November, but I booked via their website in HK dollars. Hope this helps =)
