Enjoyed this tour of our local area during COVID restrictions and almost no tourism in HK. Yammy our guide, had taken a second job with the lack of tourists - but both of us and Yammy herself enjoyed running the tour for my husband and me. All of the locals called out as we walked along - through each market stall! Terrific opportunity to see our local area (as expats) - wandering and seeing inside kitchens of places we hadn't dared to visit ! We now have many new places to eat at !! Thanks Yammy !!!

I recently met up with Yammy from Hong Kong foodie tours for a one on one tour.
Even though I was the only guest, her passion and knowledge was evident all tour, it was appreciated. Being born and raised in Hong Kong allowed me to share some of her favourite establishments, as well as kitchen tours, and ‘hidden’ cafes only locals would know about. Most of the places you visit have been around for 50 years or more, a testament to the quality of meals and drink offered to you.
Would I recommend this tour... yep 100%
Thank you Yammy for such a wonderful and inciteful tour.

This is a gem not only for visitors but also for expats living in Hong Kong. We took the whole family with friends and kids aged 8-12years and it was an amazing experience! A wonderful balance between great local food you’d never find by yourself and history or local anecdotes that just made everything so real and special. I look forward to trying out another route soon...

This was such a fun day! Lillian was an excellent tour guide, it was just the two of us and she was delightful company and brought me to lots of places I would never have found myself, as well as explaining their history and cultural significance. Between dishes there was plenty of history and fun facts about the different neighbourhoods we passed through. It was a great insight to Hong Kong food and culture, even for those who think they know it all!

There were just the two of us on this tour with the knowledgeable and charming Yammy. She showed us places we'd never find by ourselves and the food was great. As others say, arrive hungry. We returned to our first stop for lunch the next day and, again it was great. The only problem was our timing - just prior to Chinese New Year one regular stop was closed and there was no egg tart as it was all New Year special treats. After visiting Hong Kong often over many years I wish I'd done this much earlier. Highly recommended.

This is my second tour with this company (first one was the craft beer tour) and I was not disappointed. I brought my cousin from the US with my husband and I, who live here in Hong Kong. Our tour guide’s name was Eddie and he was informative and cool!

What we all agreed were the highlights of this tour were:

1. This history behind the food we ate
2. The areas we toured; we learned a lot more about Central and Sheung Wan
3. Meeting the shop/restaurant owners and getting to go behind the scenes

We will be back for another tour soon! This is a great way to learn more about the community you live in and to treat guests from out of town to a feast for the eyes and mind.

I had the pleasure of going on the Central & Sheung Wan Foodie Tour in late April 2018. Ed was the awesome tour/foodie guide and was more than accommodating in answering questions not necessarily related to food in HK but also about the rich history HK has. It was my first time in HK and this tour allowed me to experience a great variety of food that introduced me to HK cuisine. From mouth watering won ton soup , BBQ pork , steamed dumplings and fried delights this tour is a must do for any person new to HK. Ed is a very passionate tour guide who seems quite proud of his home town and kept me interested the entire tour. He even helped with directions on how to get to places once the tour was completed. I will definitely go on another foodie tour again when I am in HK next. 🥟

Hi Flynnie86, "Dor Tse" (Thank you) for your great review of our Central & Sheung Wan Foodie Tour and for the compliments for Ed. Great to know you had a great time not just tasting delicious Hong Kong eats, learning about some history and culture, but also picking up some useful Cantonese phrases! :) We are really glad to hear our Foodie Tour helped you experience the wide range of cuisines Hong Kong has to offer. We've only scratched the surface so definitely come back and join us on another Foodie Tour when you're in Hong Kong next.

We enjoyed the tour with Lilian very much! She was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. We went to some fantastic places and also learned about the neighborhood and customs as we walked from place to place. Our favorites were the BBQ pork at the Dragan restaurant...Amazing. the Noodle restaurant was very delicious and the final stop was the egg custard, which was fantastic. All seven stops were very good. Take this tour you will love it!!
