Very enjoyable afternoon
Despite living in Hong Kong for many years, there were still plenty of things we discovered today thanks to our brilliant guide Ed. Almost 4 hours walking around Central and Sheung Wan, discovering little gems, listening to historic secrets and tasting Chinese specialties.

So enjoyable - a delicious afternoon out!
Nov 2020
This was such a fun day! Lillian was an excellent tour guide, it was just the two of us and she was delightful company and brought me to lots of places I would never have found myself, as well as explaining their history and cultural significance. Between dishes there was plenty of history and fun facts about the different neighbourhoods we passed through. It was a great insight to Hong Kong food and culture, even for those who think they know it all!

Great tour - Yammy was brilliant !
Oct 2020
Enjoyed this tour of our local area during COVID restrictions and almost no tourism in HK. Yammy our guide, had taken a second job with the lack of tourists - but both of us and Yammy herself enjoyed running the tour for my husband and me. All of the locals called out as we walked along - through each market stall! Terrific opportunity to see our local area (as expats) - wandering and seeing inside kitchens of places we hadn't dared to visit ! We now have many new places to eat at !! Thanks Yammy !!!

Wonderful family experience
Jun 2020 • Friends
This is a gem not only for visitors but also for expats living in Hong Kong. We took the whole family with friends and kids aged 8-12years and it was an amazing experience! A wonderful balance between great local food you’d never find by yourself and history or local anecdotes that just made everything so real and special. I look forward to trying out another route soon...

Great tour
Feb 2020 • Solo
I recently met up with Yammy from Hong Kong foodie tours for a one on one tour.
Even though I was the only guest, her passion and knowledge was evident all tour, it was appreciated. Being born and raised in Hong Kong allowed me to share some of her favourite establishments, as well as kitchen tours, and ‘hidden’ cafes only locals would know about. Most of the places you visit have been around for 50 years or more, a testament to the quality of meals and drink offered to you.
Would I recommend this tour... yep 100%
Thank you Yammy for such a wonderful and inciteful tour.

Feast for the Eyes and Mind!
This is my second tour with this company (first one was the craft beer tour) and I was not disappointed. I brought my cousin from the US with my husband and I, who live here in Hong Kong. Our tour guide’s name was Eddie and he was informative and cool!

What we all agreed were the highlights of this tour were:

1. This history behind the food we ate
2. The areas we toured; we learned a lot more about Central and Sheung Wan
3. Meeting the shop/restaurant owners and getting to go behind the scenes

We will be back for another tour soon! This is a great way to learn more about the community you live in and to treat guests from out of town to a feast for the eyes and mind.

Great insight
Jan 2020
There were just the two of us on this tour with the knowledgeable and charming Yammy. She showed us places we'd never find by ourselves and the food was great. As others say, arrive hungry. We returned to our first stop for lunch the next day and, again it was great. The only problem was our timing - just prior to Chinese New Year one regular stop was closed and there was no egg tart as it was all New Year special treats. After visiting Hong Kong often over many years I wish I'd done this much earlier. Highly recommended.

Excellent Food Tour
Nov 2019
My entire family - including a hard-to-please 6-year old - loved this tour. We meandered through Central and ate a ton of food, with enough walking, sight-seeing, and chatting between stops to build up the huge appetite needed to actually enjoy all the different tastes. Our tour guide Ed was so nice, and he gave personal attention to everyone. The candied fruit and cane juice were things I wouldn't have tried if it hadn't been on a tour, and of course there was dim sum, won tons, noodles and bbq pork - all excellent. Ed also oriented us to the neighborhood, so later in my trip, when I returned to do some shopping, the area already felt familiar. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food!!

Outstanding food tour!
First of all, Lilian our guide was brilliant, not only is she a fountain of knowledge but her sharp witty sense of humour made the afternoon even more enjoyable.

The food tour is well organised and well planned. The right amount of interest food facts of Hong Kong, perfect amount of history and enough interesting food and culture conversation to keep food lovers occupied.

We were three guests, a small group but still great atmosphere and just as much energy as we would expect from a larger group.

We particularly loved the prawn dumplings at the first stop. They were out of this world! Fresh packed with large sweet firm fresh sweet prawns wrapped in delicate pastry, and the broth was outstanding.

The pork at Dragon restaurant was impressive, with a behind the scenes tour, you don’t get that as a normal diner.

Overall first class, highly recommend this tour! Come hungry as it’s a lot of food, good value for money.

Thank you Lilian!
